This bag was a great companion on a recent three month trip. I'm a heavy packer and the space in this thing is seemingly endless. Beware, it's easy to surpass the standard economy airline weight limit for checked bags. But you can also use the outer straps to secure smaller loads. Much better than the Patagonia 100l black hole rolling duffel I used previously, which felt a bit small and falls over when fully packed.

This was larger than I expected in terms of what all could fit but also when I am not lugging quite so much it can cinch down to a more compact size - but still must be checked. Easy to maneuver and for the size of the bag, not overly heavy. The one watch out is that it can accommodate so much stuff, be careful you don't step over the 50-pound limit on most checked bags for most airlines. I learned this my first time traveling with it and squeaked in just under 50 pounds but there was plenty of space for more items so could have easily gone over. Now I pay a little closer attention so that I don't overpack it and double check with bathroom scale at home.

I purchased this luggage unexpectedly because I didn’t expect to be in the hospital as long as I had been post an amputation of my left leg. Due to complications that have come along with it. I’ve been in the hospital for over a month and will be in the hospital for at least another month or two because of that I needed to purchase additional clothing while in the hospital. Because I live alone I didn’t have someone to fetch my Osprey luggage that was at my house so I purchased this one which was much larger than the one I had at my house and this one has wheels on top of it. And I’m so glad I did. First of all this bag is completely sturdy and has moved from one VA Hospital to another, and from one rehab facility to another. It’s been quite the journey. And this Osprey bag has been a part of it. I love the VA, but I moved rooms a ton of times which is completely inconvenient when you are one legged. Nonetheless, my Osprey bag has been an integral part of my journey and has not let me down so far . It’s packed to the and even though it’s stress tested with all my clothing the zippers have not busted and everything is holding up perfectly. I highly highly highly recommend you take a look at purchasing one of these bags if you need a piece of luggage.

This is one of the best pieces of luggage I have ever purchased and I have owned at least 10 different brands. I'm currently taking a 5 week trip in Spain and do not have a bad thing to say about this product. I am tall and have large shoes. With other suitcases, that would have drastically cut into my packing capacity. I easily fit 2 pairs of shoes in the bottom of the suitcase and still have been able to pack more than enough clothes for my trip. The suitcase I had prior to this one was a wheeled duffel type bag. That bag was top heavy when using the handle and would easily tip over when making transitions off curbs, or making quick direction changes, and it wouldn't stand up on it's own when waiting in line at the airport for example. The wheels on this case are large and glide easily over the rough cobblestones found in many European cities, tracks easily and the bag stands easily on it's own. The backpack straps come in handy when trying to board trains, or climbing up 5 flights of stairs (many apartments here don't have elevators). I was worried that the internal frame which houses the handle and backpack straps/waist belt system would interfere with the capacity of the bag, but it does not. There are several varying sized zippered compartments for holding small loose items, etc. I would highly recommend this bag to anyone looking for a dual purpose piece of luggage. I also purchased Eagle Creek's Pack It Garment Folders, one large size for pants and another medium size for shirts. This helps organize garments, compressed them down and makes it easy to get to a pair of pants, for instance, without disrupting all the shirts in the suitcase. I remove the folder with all my shirts without messing them up, then open the folder with my pants and easily remove the pair of pants I need.

Great product and functional. Bottom frame has cracked after three months of traveling. Website says it is guaranteed so will contact Osprey whe we get home

Love this suitcase! So roomy and durable. I wish the wheels rotated, but otherwise no complaints. Love the various compartments.

If your wanting a one time use bag, this is it. If you are wanting a bag that will last more than 1 trip, keep looking. This thing is GARBAGE. It was likely designed by someone who has ZERO idea how airlines work. I'm on my second bag (only because mine crapped out within the 30 day return window). The zipper made it one flight before it decided to leave the bag. Multiple abrasions in different areas of the bag that should be reinforced with solid sliders. The handle (extending) is about to fall apart. The screw is completely stripped. Once that goes, the bag is done. Worst bag I've ever owned (esp for the price). You dropped the ball on this one Osprey.

Einfach Toll...

This is a really robust case/backpack. It seems to be very well made and sturdy. It has pockets in all the right places and seems to have been really well thought out. You can wear it as a backpack or roll it along using its handle. I think if i were heavy it might be awkward to wear as a backpack. It feels built to last, and i was very happy with it when i took it on holiday. Just the right size for 1 person up to 2 weeks.
