Peet’s Major Dickason’s Blend has become my go-to coffee, and for good reason. This dark roast delivers a bold, full-bodied flavor that’s incredibly smooth without any bitterness. I’ve tried many different brands over the years, but nothing quite matches the depth and richness of this blend. It has a robust, slightly smoky taste that makes every cup feel like a premium café experience. I usually brew it with a drip coffee maker, but it also holds up beautifully in a French press. The aroma alone is enough to wake me up in the morning, and it’s strong enough to satisfy without being overpowering. I also appreciate that the grind is consistent, making it easy to use straight from the bag. If you’re a fan of dark roasts that don’t sacrifice smoothness, this coffee is a must-try. This dark roast is smooth and not bitter. I’m used to kicking horse 454 dark which is more intense but can be quite bitter causing heartburn. The expiry stamp on the bag is in 2 months from my purchase date. The ground coffee doesn’t smell fresh. Seems quite stale with less dark coffee taste. Will not repurchase due to the poor expiry date.

I was really disappointed with this purchase. The coffee bag appeared to have been previously opened, as the sealing tape had coffee residue all over it. This made me question its freshness and whether it had been tampered with. Additionally, the expiration date was unclear, almost as if it had been deliberately smudged or wiped off, making it impossible to verify how fresh the coffee actually is. On top of that, the packaging looked old and worn out, not what I would expect from a new, properly stored product. To make matters worse, when I tried to return it, I discovered that this coffee is non-returnable, which only added to my frustration. I do not recommend purchasing from this listing unless you’re willing to take the risk of receiving an opened or expired product.
