I used regular clumping litter for another cat for her entire 17.5 year life span, using more as she got older and used the indoor litter box more often. I had bought this originally for her but she was reluctant to use the litter box with it since it was so different. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge nearly a year ago and I have a new, 2-year old rescue who was also used to clumping litter. I thought she might be easier to try out something new with. After her adjustment period, she got 2 litter boxes in separate areas of the house. One was regular clumping litter, the other a mix of clumping and a bag of this. It's been about 3 weeks now and the clumping litter is exactly what I expected. Clumps with wetness and urine and poo clumps, all easy to scoop out. The mixed box? I don't see any wet clumps. I scoop and shovel and move it all around, nothing on the bottom. No wet spots. Poo is pretty hard dried. There is more dust than the plain litter box that swirls when I scoop and shovel and move it all around but I'm not sure why. For 1 cat/2 litter boxes, I think it will at least equal value to any good clumping litter that needs either adding to and then changing every few weeks. It hasn't been a month but I can't really smell anything in the box this is in, the enclosed one. The open just plain litter does have a smell when I am scooping but when the litter is all mixed up, it's pretty much gone. How long that will last is anyone's guess since the litter is only about 3 weeks old. I know I'm going to keep using this crystal litter but probably mixed with clumping litter until I find out it isn't better. So, Sandy uses it without a problem mixed, has not had any problems with skin issues with it, doesn't eat it, she has tracked a little out but not a whole lot, it's effective, still looks pretty.

As a cat owner of two mostly independent felines and someone who frequently travels for work, the PetSafe Scoop Free Premium Crystal Litter has been a game-changer for us. I use it with my PetSafe Self-Cleaning Litterbox which allows me to leave the cats home for the week while I'm out. I have a 18 y/o that keeps them company but forget about asking him to clean the litterbox. I used to use clay litter and even tried pine pellets. None have kept the odors away as well as the crystal litter.

We have been using this kitty litter for nearly a year. It is very easy to use and is also helpful in keeping the litter box smell away. At this point we plan to keep using it.

I don’t care for the dust it creates when my cat scratches around but a litter box with a door helps with that. Otherwise, this stuff keeps the bad smells at bay better than anything else I’ve tried.

I like this much better than Pretty Litter and it is priced much better. I have three indoor cats and odor is almost non existent. I do have the Arm and Hammer scent litter crystals for a touch more of odor control. Definitely recommend!!

I switched to this litter about 6 months ago, and I will never go back to any other cat litter. In 6 months, I’ve only had to purchase this 3 times. It completely absorbs all urine, and the smell of it. It doesn’t have any typical cat litter smell to it, and it’s far less dusty.

We purchased this product because it was recommended to us. We are giving it a 3 star because it actually does keep odor away, but they do not mention how much dust and smell it has when you clean the litter box or change the litter. It is literally gagging. There is a cloud of dust that wafts up in the air very high, the smell is awful and the cloud gags you. Our two girls are in charge of keeping their cat's litter boxes clean. The boxes are in each of their rooms. Every time the cats use the litter boxes and covers it up, there is another cloud of dust that goes up and gags them. So we're going to try an alternate litter that's along the same lines, but promises no clouds and smell.

I bought this type of litter due to the fact that my youngest cat has a wound on his leg that has taken a ridiculous amount of time to heal. (I’ve already taken him to the vet 3 times, don’t come for me lol). I guessed that regular clay clumping litter was making it difficult for his wound to heal since it basically was another scab he was ripping off time after time. I did extensive research on non-clumping litter and came to the conclusion that silica type would be best. This litter itself can be thought of as expensive but after using it for a week, I honestly feel like this was worth the money. I also want to note, I did not buy their litter box. I have 2 traditional, plain ol litter boxes where this still works great. I have 2 litter boxes because we have 2 cats. One order fills my large litter box with plenty of space. Our second litter box is a bit smaller, and one bag fills that litter box. At Costco I can get 4x the amount of clumping clay litter for $16. BUT with that being said, I need to get this litter every weeks for both cats. Right now, we are at a week of using this litter and it’s already more bang for my buck. Firstly, it does a great job with the smell. I know some reviews say it does nothing, but I find that’s not the case. Mind you, after a cat initially does their business it can be smelly but after? Virtually no smell compared to clay litter. I also clean the litter box every 2/3 days to scoop the poop out and shift the litter. I will say my litter box cleaning time is significantly less now with this litter. With clay clumping litter, I literally had to set aside at least 20 minutes to thoroughly clean both litter boxes. Now with the silica litter, it’s like maybe 10minutes if not a little less. My cats adjusted really well to this litter. I bought it so it wouldn’t cling to my cats wound and in the week we have used it I’ve already seen a significant improvement. I’ve seen others comment about the tracking and will give low feedback for that. Respectfully, the tracking is no where near compared to clay clumping litter. Is there tracking? Yes? A bit. A small amount. And I blame it on my fur babies when they kick it out of the box. I used to have to sweep every other day, now I sweep every few days around their litter box. I call that a win. It’s a little bit expensive compared to clay clumping, but you honestly get more out of one package than you do out of traditional litter. I’m so happy with my purchase that I will continue to use this litter after my baby’s wound has healed. It’s less of a hassle and my cats love it.

Torna nuova!!!!

I've used silica litter since it first appeared, in a very unfortunate spherical shape that rolled EVERYWHERE (and gods forbid you DROP a bag! Crunching underfoot for months no matter how much vacuuming you did!). That's over 20 years of using different brands, and PetSafe is one I occasionally use. In using the "sensitive" (I prefer scent-free products in general), it's very good in terms of dollar value and absorbency -- it mummifies poop within minutes even if your cat doesn't bury it. However, I find it to be a VERY dusty litter, and often have to give a tiny mist of water over it before scooping as otherwise I have to stop halfway through in order to not be inhaling clouds of silica dust. I accidentally purchased the Fresh Step recently and oh, that was such a mistake. Not only did I object strongly to the scent, but so did my cats -- they refused to poop in the litter box at all, making their displeasure known by pooping just outside it. I was all worried about health issues, and it took me the better part of a week to put two and poo together. As soon as I switched out to scentless, so did out-of-box messaging. I'm just lucky they didn't start peeing on things, yikes! 4 stars for the scentless. 2 personally for the Freah Scent, only because my cats have very strong feelings towards it, but your mileage may vary -- it's still the same silica litter (and dusty too), just scented.
