Cats adjusted to it in a few days. After a few learning curves we had had no issues. Only challenge we have had is finding the best litter for the box and my cat who has allergies. Would definitely recommend

I always wanted a cat litter robot. I didn't know which one to get but after researching I found this little gem. It looks upscale than others robot. Fate warning that this machine gave many parts to assemble. It wasn't too bad, and the instruction was easy to follow. There is an app you can use or you can use it without. I like the app because you can monitor the status and also check out the weight of your cat. I thought that was neat. You can set the machine to auto clean after a cat goes in or set the frequency to auto clean. The noise level is low. It cones with extra litter bag. My cats were afraid of this the first few weeks. They were curious and kept poking their head in to check that it was safe. After awhile some used it. Some did not.

My wife and I adore this box so much that we just purchased a second one. Having a household with three cats can be a pain and leave a lingering cat waste smell, paired with litter being tracked all over. This litter box helps to remove the fuss of all aspects: -Cleaning: is a breeze (pull out the drawer, remove the garbage bag, and add more litter). -Sanitization: Because the dirty litter/waste falls into a deodorized compartment at the bottom, so there is no more scooping smelly litter. -Automation: An automated cleaning cycle is triggered when the cat leaves the box. -App integration: The app allows you to track when the box is being used, and sets reminders when to clean/replace deodorizer. Tracked litter: While the cats still track litter all over, the amount is reduced by the included silicon mat. Overall: While pricey, this litterbox is awesome and will save you both time and frustration in the long run. Get it!

With this I've now tested every variety of automatic litter box. This one works well but has a couple of annoying aspects. By nature of its design, it is difficult to add litter to. You can't really fit a big jug of litter through the opening. Related to that, it has a safety feature which prevents it from doing its spinny-sifty thing when it senses something weighing more than 2.5 pounds in it- like a cat. Well, to make that work you have to put the thing in "add litter mode" which involves pressing and holding a button for a 3 seconds. Its not like that is such a horrible chore, but it feels like a hoop to jump through for a device that's supposed to be a convenience. The real problem is that, you'll likely forget to put it in add litter mode, and then the thing stops working until you unplug it and plug it back in. It would be more reasonable and plenty safe to have it assume that if the weight doesn't change for say, 2 hours... there's not a cat in there. Next there is the size issue. Its big. Its visually obtrusive. At the same time, the actual litter space is not especially large, if you have a very big cat they may be averse to use this, or miss the litter area spraying the walls instead. A raking style box provides a bigger target for the cat. There is plenty of headroom in this, however. It also has an app. Why in the world does a litter box need an App? Why would I want that on my phone or another piece of foreign mystery tech on my home network? The good news is it does work without the app. Putting it together also took a while. Which isn't such a big deal, I kind of like putting things together- but I imagine I will need to take this thing apart and clean its MANY parts on a regular basis and THAT is going to really be a problem. I do appreciate that it came with two rolls of trash bags and 4 deodorizing packs. My recommended litter box for these reasons is the self-raking style, combined with a cabinet to hide it.

Honestly I had higher hopes for this litter box. The app does not work. It does not self clean. I have to restart it every time just to get it to spin and the smell… let’s not even begin to talk about the smell. Even a regular litter box doesn’t smell this bad. There is absolutely no way to conceal the smell!!! Not worth your money.

I like the look of it and it works, but you should pay attention to the type of litter used. The one we had is more like sand and it tends to stick on the sides when rolling. It was nice at first because we had a way to weigh the cats and super convenient since we didn’t have to scoop. However, eventually we noticed the smears and the smells so we had to clean it and change the litter we used.

This ScoopFree SmartSpin feels sturdy and well-made, though setup takes a bit of time and patience. It’s a relief not having to scoop daily, and the app adds convenience. However, some litter still gets tracked out by my cat, and the overall price is on the higher side. Durability remains to be seen, but so far, I’m satisfied.
