Purchased this toothbrush in August of 2023. 17 months ago. I've used it 2x daily (at least 1,056 cycles) on the longest program. No problems. Today, I noted it making a lot of noise from the drive shaft which is now very loose and wobbly...there is definitely something wrong. I looked up my order and found that it has a 24 month warranty. I Contacted Phillips Support and they ABSOLUTELY ROCKED IT in just a few minutes. A few simple questions and a new one is on the way. If you think Im here to complain that it broke after at least 1,056 sessions, I'm definitely not. The math works out to less than 1¢ per use. Thats plenty of dollar value for a LOT of very thorough brushings. Also consider that another is on the way under warranty for that same initial purchase process thanks to the excellent warranty!

I have been using this toothbrush for 3 years now. Was suggested to me by a dentist who told me that it’s more efficient and that it causes less gum recession due to you not over brushing manually. Ever since using it, I have had cleaner teeth and is also great if you have a post braces permanent chain behind your teeth. I even got sooo lazy during pandemic and wfh that I skipped a lot of teeth brushing. I moved across the country and was behind on my last cleaning as well. I was CONVINCED I had a cavity and my teeth were in bad shape but was told my teeth were in great shape and 0 cavities. I’m not recommending you not brush your teeth but the performance is so good that even with a lack of consistent use, the brush still gets the job done! Is also easy to wipe down with running alcohol every so often when it gets kinda icky under the head. You can also buy generic brand compatible heads which saves a lot of money in that area. Battery life is pretty good, although I will say it does sometimes die quicker with age but is still not that often that it’s a bother.

Who knew an electric toothbrush could be so user friendly and effective? Very balanced, three timer settings, very long battery charge. In fact, the charger lives in a drawer and is only needed occasionally. Little head reaches everywhere easily. Even works on your tongue! Noticeably whiter teeth. Just the right amount of bells and whistles.

Great when it works but after not even a year and a half, it's no longer charging. I have bought new charging cables and yet it doesn't work. Rather disappointing as I was expecting it to last much longer, if you are looking for something that lasts, I would look elsewhere.

We’ve never had electric toothbrushes before, but we thought we’d finally try it. Couldn’t believe how different my teeth felt from when I used the regular tooth. They were squeaky clean. Felt like I had just gotten a cleaning without the scraping, of course.

I bought this toothbrush in July 2023, a year and a half ago. It cleaned well and I really liked it. I noticed a day ago that the top of the body became loose and wobbly causing the brush to sound horrible and not brush well. I will need to buy a new brush but will not get another Philips as their quality is inferior. I do not recommend this toothbrush.

Click to play video Intro and things I like: I had the Sonicare E-series toothbrush for over a decade, and it started to not hold charge so well anymore, so I decided to upgrade to this toothbrush. The head on the 5100 is a bit smaller which I like, and the handle is also nice and slim as well. It's a fairly quiet toothbrush compared to my boyfriend's Oral-B toothbrush, which I love because I tend to be a night owl. The charging is perfectly fine and it lasts about 14 days without a charge, and will take 24 hours to charge if it's completely dead. The quality of this toothbrush is pristine, and this is why I decided to go with the 5100 instead of the 4100 because I head concerns about the newer 4100 model's build quality. There are no issues with quality for the 5100 as far as I know. I also love that it comes with a travel case as I am constantly on the go for vet school rotations. Some toothbrush brands come with a USB plug in style charger, but this style is much better because you can just sit it on the charger base without having to worry about plugging in a USB C cable or something like that. Using it: There are three different modes for this toothbrush, clean, whitening, and gum care. I use the traditional clean mode, and sometimes the gum care because it feels good on my gums. I love that the toothbrush has a very slight pause every 30 seconds indicating that it's time to switch quadrants, and turns off automatically at 2 minutes for "clean" mode. Apparently "whitening" mode goes for 2:30, but I prefer the "clean" mode. There is also a really awesome feature that you can set on the toothbrush letting you know when it's time to change the toothbrush head, indicated by the light near the bottom of the toothbrush. This is great for customers who don't always keep track of when to change their toothbrush heads. Cons I've encountered so far: The only con really would be that it comes with one toothbrush head. There is a little slip of paper that shows you how to register your product with Philips for discounted heads, but it would be nice if it came with at least two. Another thing that is probably just me, is that the black base for the toothbrush doesn't come with black heads. I think it would look pretty cool if the heads matched the base for a nice, sleek look. You can get matching colors if you opt for the white, but I just picked the option that would be delivered to me faster because I'm impatient. Overall: As someone who has always been pretty anal about her oral hygiene, I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a first time or new toothbrush to up their oral hygiene game.

While I am a minimalist, I don't hesitate to purchase items that improve my quality of life. This is indeed one of the big upgrades from my average toothbrush. Since I started using this, My gum never bleed again during brush, the tartar built up actually got destroyed by the vibrations, and my oral hygiene is just so much cleaner. Lastly, I heard the Oral-B brush is slightly better in terms of functionality, but Sonicare brush just look so much better in terms of aesthetic. 100% would recommend (And I did during my work's standup meeting)
