It seems I’ve unfortunately received a faulty or damaged controller. After several attempts to charge it, I’ve had no success. Initially, I thought it might simply need a full recharge, but even after leaving it plugged in for hours, there was no response—no lights, no connection, nothing. It appears the battery may be completely dead or non-functional. In an effort to troubleshoot the issue, I even tried connecting it to my PC and downloading the PlayStation Accessories software, hoping to force a firmware update or reset. Unfortunately, that didn’t help either. The controller remains unresponsive, showing no signs of life or charging activity. Based on everything I’ve tried, it’s clear the controller is either seriously damaged or completely dead. I understand that electronic issues can happen, but receiving a non-working product right out of this USPS mailer is disappointing. I would appreciate a resolution, whether that’s Amazon seller accountability, or a refund as this clearly wasn't tested. Also, classified as Excellent condition and it wasn't. You can clearly see the bottom of the controller is scratched.PS5 controller wasn't professionally inspected.

Excitedly ordered this controller for my wife as one of hers just died and she was interested in gyro, but failed to notice that this was a refurbished controller. No bigs, there’s been plenty of times where I’ve purchased something used and it was still more than in working condition. When it arrived, it was in a USPS mailer envelope with a white usb-c cord, and nothing else. Also no bigs- we can google whatever we need to know for setup etc. My wife noticed it was kind of grody looking, which we also tried to ignore because if it works, it’s super easy to clean/sterilize a controller. But it didn’t work. The usb-c port on the controller was wiggly as hell which meant it kept disconnecting while plugged into her pc ((how she would primarily be using this controller)). After a quick googling we find that this is a common issue with these controllers, so we figured it would be safer to return this, eat the return charge, and purchase one from a local store so returns would be easier. This controller should NOT have been shipped out, but it seems either it slipped through inspection or wasn’t inspected for issues at all, so heads up.

I received a controller with joystick drift and wear on the grips of the handle. It was also a bit dirty but you have to compromise when you buy something from the renewed store. The DualSense is also a bit inconvinient if you don't have a PS5. I use this with my MacBook so i cant update its firmware. The advanced haptics and adaptive triggers wont work unless you are playing modern AAA titles. If you want to play older games with no native dualsense support, you have to run the controller through an emulator which has a burden on the CPU. So keep that it mind. Dualsensex and Dualsensem are amazing apps which can help you utilize the dualsense to the maximum, but even it is limited. Conclusion: Buy if you know what you are getting into, or wait 2 years for games to adapt to the adaptive controllers, or just get the Xbox series controller.
