I have two wahoo tickrs, both work great then I notice they are off by 15 to 25 bpm. I confirm with phone, watch and pulse ox. Next time they are accurate again. Drove me nuts because it was so intermittent. I had polar for decades so I ordered this one. So glad I did. This paired easily with Bluetooth and Ant. Works perfect everytime. I store disconnected as instructed and changed the battery easily after one year using it seven to ten hours a week every week.

The device is simple and inexpensive relative to other tech monitoring devices, but as accurate as it gets for a consumer device and the software makes it surprisingly valuable. The Polar app itself does a great job of tracking a multitude of day activities, for me so far, walking, tennis, cycle, ski and treadmill, but so many more activities that can be tracked. Then an app called sleep2 from Nukkuaa to track sleep pretty accurately without needing the more expensive watches with more features than I need. Wearing the device is a little uncomfortable at night, and the Sleep2 subscription is expensive. But for 2-3 months to see the pattern has been great.

Update 10/22/24. Too funny! After 3 months I got another automated email telling me to do the same things I told them I did to get it to work. Polar was literally and figuratively the first name in heart rate monitoring and they've been reduced and degenerated to this. Pathetic. Update 7/20/24: Before I wrote my last update I'd chatted with their bot which told me to send them an email requestion support. I got an email back from Katerina who I'm sure was an email bot. I sent them an email describing the problem. THEN a few days later they send me a survey email asking to rate their customer service. This company and their product ... Dumpster Fire! Update 7/16/24: That's IT, I'm done! I've bought three of these cursed things because I need the functionality of the Flow app. First one went south after about a year and a half - wouldn't connect. Second one stopped connecting after a year. Third one I bought a month ago. First it started reporting lower than actual heartrate, then it started working OK. Then (as others have reported) I had to take 10 minutes before every workout to reset the blasted thing in order for it to connect. Finally it just stopped pairing altogether. Google "H10 won't connect" and you'll find all kinds of ticked off customers. They've stopped phone and even chat customer support and now offer human support only by email!!? Here's a one of the PO'd customers on Reddit: "Done with this piece of garbage - their response time to my email was more than 2 months" I think they're having coding issues and it doesn't exhibit itself in the same manner for different phones. Maybe their code will not keep up with OS updates on some phones or whatever but something's messed up. I like customers cannot get the flow app to update. Used to be great but useless now. What planet are these people on? I can only think that the positive reviews here were as typical .. people get the product and fire off a review after a day or two. Do Not Buy!! Prior review: Very accurate when it pairs and works but the Einstein programmers at Polar really set up a convoluted pairing/connect method that requires you pair through the flow app and can be stubborn as hell sometimes requiring the sensor to be unpaired and reset. It's aggravating as all get out, and as reported by other users will just flat out fail to pair eventually. I generally have to say a rosary to get the damned thing to pair, then perform the stations of the cross in order for the app to recognize the paired device and continue repeating Hail Marys hoping that the results will be accurate as sometimes the flow app will register up to 20 beats fewer than my actual heart rate. If I get it working then I throw a pinch of salt over my shoulder in the hope that the pairing won't drop. Also as reported by other users, I think Polar know their stuff is messed up but won't own up to it. They used to have phone support but I'm sure they got overrun and now they just do chat support where I get a lot of "I understand your frustration" but no solution. Unfortunately once you get it to work this is the most accurate sensor on the market and I need the functionality of the flow software. So since my first two flat out failed to pair after a year I just had to buy my third one. So plan on it being a once a year throwaway product. And if you're really self-loathing go ahead and try to load the Beat app as well as the Flow app. See if you don't start swearing. When I connect to the Beat app it actually breaks the flow app. And don't you DARE try to use another wearable. If I pair my Galaxy watch.. Fuhgedabahdit! I'll be trying to reconnect for the next half hour. So before you buy this thing read the other reviews like the one where the guy has to a lot 10 minutes in advance of his workouts because he has to repair it to his iPhone every time. .... If Polar had any integrity they would post these issues and at least indicate that they're working on them on their website instead of just posting we did another update and it fixed some issues etc. I can't wait for the wearable technologies to mature so I can bail on this company. This is the most irritating product I own. I might suggest that Polar drug test their CIO and programmers before they hire them.

Works well with I-Phone app. Tracks heart rate throughout workout and graphs it by zone in addition to other key metrics. Has a long list of possible exercises to get as close as possible to what you are actually doing.

This is the first heart strap I have owned that didn't have at least a couple spikes per training session - very impressive. In the last week, I have used it for 3 running and 2 cycling sessions, 9 hours total, and not a single spike or drop out during any of the activities! I probably won't be using the app or on board memory function - I run all metrics (power, muscle oxygen, cadence, pace, wheel speed sensors, and heart rate) through my Garmin Fenix. But I did install the app to make sure the H10 arrived with the latest firmware. The documents that came with the H10 were not very clear on where to go for access of the app, and the app was a bit cumbersome at first, but it eventually got done. The H10 took a bit of time pairing to the Garmin and the Humon Hex muscle oxygen - my hope was that the garmin and hex demands for Ant+ and bluetooth connections wouldn't confuse any of the devices. And it didn't. After a brief wait everything connected, and the second use of the H10 was much faster than the original. It was nice to see a relatively complex pairing event go so well: Humon Hex via Ant to Fenix, and via bluetooth to the H10; H10 via Ant to the Fenix and bluetooth to the Hex; And everything else - speed sensors, watts, etc paired nicely without even needing the second H10 bluetooth channel - lots easier than I expected. During use, all the data was fine without spikes or dropouts. The pro strap was reasonably comfortable. My only complaints are that the buckle on the pro strap is a bit harder to use because the extra sensor area makes the connector position part way around your back, instead of at your side. And if you use an adaptive handcycle or trike, the hard and relatively wide pro buckle is less comfortable than the soft strap hook system. But aside from the strap and indifferent directions on finding the app site and updating firmware, I think the H10 will work out very well! Update 10/2/2020 I have put 58 miles of running and 1110 miles of cycling on the strap since mid-July, and have had no real issues. I initially had a couple of dropouts on runs, then tried gel, which solved the issue. I also tried wetting BOTH sides of the strap before use - sensor area and fabric area, and since doing that don't need gel. I may use the gel or Buh-Bump cream when it gets colder in the morning just to avoid the wake-up call of a damp strap before I wam warmed up. For now, just wetting both sides of the strap makes for problem free use. In fact, after a 50 mile ride, removing the strap is a bit like removing a band-aid, as it sticks to the skin a bit. Not uncomfortable, just really firm contact. I have also used the H10 with an after market phone app ECGLogger. The app is a bit finnicky, and doesn't always start right away, or save data. But basically, it allows yout H10 (and only the H10) to display a live electrocardiogram, or to collect electrocardiogaph readings during a training session for review later. I was initially a bit dubious, so I took a copy of one of the tracings to my cardiologist, who pronounced it "useful - in fact from what I see here, I am ordering a 48 hour Holter continuous electrocardiogram". So, this finicky app is worth my trouble - lets me record a strip before and after I ride. Unfortunately, the App doesn't play nice with the Hex muscle oxygen monitor, so only the ECG app or the Hex will work at any given time, but not both at once. The app may not be useful to everyone, but is free, and the H10 is the only heart strap that lets you run an ECG strip with an ecg APP, so that is a plus for the H10! Plus it worked flawlessly with my Hex muscle oxygen monitor, the Hex phone app, and the Fenix watch all at the same time, somethiong which was a sgtruggle for my last heart strap/sensor.

This chest heart rate monitor is worth every penny that I paid for it. I use it daily to sync with my Garmin fenix 7x. I use it to track my runs, workouts and my HRV status. It also links quickly to my Concept2 rower. A chest strap monitor is going to provide more accurate readings than the wrist wearables. Of course, this is just my opinion. I don't believe you will be unhappy with this purchase and use of product.

I’ve had this for about 6 months now and I’ve had no issues with this device. I just followed directions, 1.use spit to lubricate the sensor strip before using 2. Remove battery after use 3. Clean and or dry off after use Thing works awesome and is accurate.

So I put off getting a chest strap because I preferred the ease of arm-band. However, now that my biceps and tri-ceps developed the arm band isn't reliable. Why I like this is that it isn't rechargeable. You can replace the battery when it dies. The chest strap is much more reliable than other methods for heart rate, very stable. Also any review I've seen of other heart rate monitors have judged their accuracy by comparing it to the Polar H10, so it is widely regarded as extremely accurate. Size wise I'll give you my measurements. The circumference around my sternum is about 43.5 inches. That is very close to the max size this band would be comfortable. So if you are bigger than that you can still use this, but will have to figure a way to extend it. As a side note for configuring it the app was confusing. To turn on you have to actually wear the device. Then when adding the device use the menu button on the bottom portion of the screen, not the top left. Not sure why they made it so complicated.
