My daughter started playing volleyball, so I needed a net for practice and small games. I wanted to make sure the net supported regulation heights to make for good practice, and I do not have space to keep a full 30+ foot volleyball net permanently staked in my back or front yard. This freestanding net fits my needs well. It was easy to setup, I just recommend maybe getting a second person to brace one end when you are trying to get the side poles in. At first I was little hesitant to bow them too much, but they did bend ok and I was able to get them in with a little help. The net is super light, so you can essentially just leave it up anywhere and move it around as needed. One person can move it, but it would be a bit awkward so I found it easy to just have one person lift from each side (it is so light that kids can do this). I also think it would be easy to setup and tear down as needed, but I preferred to keep it together so my daughter can use anytime she wants. As for sturdiness, it holds up well anytime the ball hits the net and I have not seen any issues with normal play. We had some very windy days where it did tip over a couple of times, but it could be staked down with included stakes if you want additional support. It does not move on normal weather days. The set also comes with a travel bag if you need to bring it somewhere, but I have not needed to use that yet. Overall this option is pricey compared to just buying standard net, but you are paying for the convenience and portability. I have not had this too long, but I expect my daughter will use more frequently due to the ease of use.

This has been a game changer for my daughter. Easy to set up with one person, she is 13 and does it all by herself. She was able to practice her serves and approach and spike on this net, It does not fall over. I have jumped served a few volleyballs into this net and it hold up amazing. It lasted all summer long outside in the elements and is showing no signs of wear. We even play mini 1v1 or 2v2 games on it.

I purchased this training net as a tool to help my teen daughter who just started JV volleyball. This is a phenomenal tool that can be used in conjunction with dozens of drills and up to three-on-three scrimmages. It’s an amazingly stable design best suited for grass but it can be safely used indoors and in sand if the players desire. Two important considerations: My daughter is 5’00” tall- She needs help latching the net onto the poles (the final stage in assembly). Realistically, you need to be about 5’05” to put this up unassisted at the women’s height setting. Also, this isn’t suitable for strong hitters. Any ball into the net at twenty-plus mph is going to displace the base. Even with the included anchor pins in place, there isn’t enough mass to keep the system stationary if a player or a fast hit ball hits the net. This is a training tool and it’s great for scrimmages but not hard play. Broken down, the system is light enough to be carried by a teenager and will easily store in a car trunk or closet. Don’t leave it out in the rain, it will oxidize and eventually rust at the locking points. Finally, tension between the main poles is what keeps the net taught. While you can break down the system alone, for safety, it’s best to have a second person relieve the tension on the opposite pole while you undo the net from your side. In summary, this is a phenomenal training tool- great in design, execution and practicality. One of the easiest Five Star Reviews I’ve ever given. Thanks for reading and if you have a question, please leave it in the comments and I’ll do my best to respond in a timely manner.

I wanted to give a review of this product since the lack of any when I initially ordered made me nervous and delayed me from placing my order. My teen girls are thrilled with this practice net. It is so difficult to find a truly portable net that is regulation height for practice at home. The fact that it’s portable without having to mess with poles that have to be planted into the ground which never resulted in a good study net with the right height, makes this net a win! My dtr needed slight help from my husband to get the bowed legs to connect to the upper portion, but overall this was a piece of cake to put together. The net is solid with a weighted bottom. It has held up through some early spring storms without tipping over. I highly suggest this net if you need a true regulation height net for solo practice or up to maybe 4 players. It’s not wide enough to be used for regular game play but that was not our intent in buying this.

My daughter is so happy with this net, it is well made and super easy to put up and take down. The carrying bag is great too, and her volleyball fits in it too. The price I feel is fair for all that you get.

As you can see in the photo, the item won't "Click" into place because the hole has been drilled into the wrong side. It's all welded together so I can't turn it around. It's designed to pull out and click in place. It is also not regulation height or width for women's volleyball. We purchased this so my daughter could purchase blocking drills but won't work for that so is no use to me. We will just string a net up in the garage.
