The sound is clear, crisp, and balanced. I can hear details in music and movies like never before. Very impressed with the sound, especially given the price. Highs and mids are articulate and to me sound well balanced. Bass is tight and clean but you can definitely hear the low cut is set a bit high (which makes sense for monitors -- better accuracy). Paired up with a sub these will no doubt sound even better (in fact I ordered the Sub8 which should be here later today). Overall I am leaning towards keeping these but there are some features that other comparable speakers have which may make me swap with them (for example Edifiers have remote controls, front grilles, and a nicer overall appearance ... but do they sound as good? Hmm ...). Physical construction and overall appearance is fine. You're not going to look at these and think, damn, they're sexy, but at the same time they don't look cheap or low budget. They're pretty much middle of the road, kind of utilitarian, get-the-job-done kind of looking (in contrast to Edifiers which I think look super sharp). A few minor quibbles: - The appearance of the woofer dome center is a bit sloppy. Looks like the glue or whatever to attach the small dome part to the rest is not super precise. It's not too annoying to look at but given these things lack grillles it is a bit of an eyesore. - The Bluetooth pairing button is on the back of the speaker. This seems like a total user experience fail. The BT pairing button should be on the front, next to the aux input. Why force the user to reach all the way around to back if they want to change pairing from their phone to a different device? It seems real shortsighted.

These are not built for entertainment, but for craft. They are very accurate, and reveal noises you didn't know where in a recording (or your signal chain), and might not find pleasing. Seriously, I first turned them on and I was pissed that they were hissing and buzzing at me (at very low levels, mind you), but it turns out that they were just amplifying the noise in my MacBook Pro's headphone output - that I had never heard before with other speakers or headphones. I'm listening to a CD of Sticky Fingers right now, and I'm hearing percussion instruments and other things I have never noticed in the recording before, and I have listened to this album hundreds of times over 50 years. I have these combined with the recommended PreSonus subwoofer, so I'm getting good kick from the combined system. I recommend this for mixing and mastering under budget and space constraints.

For the price I paid, these speakers sound great. I love the fact there are multiple inputs. I have my Mac pro plugged in via RCA, and I run a 1/8" cable from my gaming monitor for sound from my Nintendo Switch, and Bluetooth for everyday music listening. I also plan to do home recording with these monitors, thus the multi-purpose aspect that I wanted when I purchased these. As far as the Bluetooth , it is frustrating. I have to try numerous times for the handshake with the iPad to take place. It often involves turning the speakers on and off. This is my only complaint with the speakers.

I've owned Eris 3.5s for a little over a year or so. I wanted something with a bit more power and the ability to connect a 12 inch subwoofer I own. These do the trick with that. I use these direct to PC with an unbalanced cable. I've tried balanced as well and it doesn't change one side effect of these speakers.. the tweeters do have a hiss (This isn't the case with 3.5s) This isn't caused by the input or anything from my testing, it's likely just amp noise with how it was designed (common in studio monitors). I'm not knocking off any stars for it though because I usually just keep a towel or something draped over the tweeters when not in use. This noise isn't audible if you're not right up on the speakers either. All in all, these do come alive when you need that extra volume level and that's what matters to me.

There is a consistent hiss on the monitors with and without cables plugged in. This is extremely challenging when wanting to do any music creation and especially when mixing since its hard to tell if noise is on the music or from the monitors. I tried different cables and plugging the monitors into alternate AC outlets in case it was a ground loop issue but no improvement. I also tried contacting customer service by creating an account with presounus via their portal but it told me it couldn't go through and try creating a ticket via the portal. Very frustrating experience and I don't recommend this product.

I have been thru many monitors in my humble studio. You name it, I've tried it. My recent set was Adams TV5. I saw these Pre Sonus Eris 5.25 BTs come up and on sale for a ridiculous low price and thought I would give them a go just to try out. I have never liked any Pre Sonus due to the heavy hollow sound they have. Over Boxxy. Just in interest I took down my Adams and set these up since it was very easy. I turned them on with a mix I have been have allot of trouble with and was absolutely amazed. How in the world did Pre Sonus all of a sudden create a fine sounding monitor and how did they get it in such a small enclosure. And why did it take them so long to create this. Very Strange!

I really like these monitors I think they sound great. I’m still in the proof “breaking” them in but from what I can tell there’s a nice range of bass, mid, and treble. They can be adjusted. Very easy for an older person like myself to set up. My only complaint is the Bluetooth it’s a pain to connect once it does even though my iPhone remembers it E5BT it won’t pair so reconnecting again is painful, BUT sense I bought them for a wired connection to my turntable. The Bluetooth is not an issue, so I would recommend these if you’re going to use them for wired not so much for Bluetooth.

Unos muy buenos bafles para colocarlos con cualquier dispositivo de música, gracias a su compatibilidad con Bluetooth o diversas formas de conexión vía RCA o TRS, con buena definición en los graves sin llegar a saturar

Constant white noise on power on. It is quite loud to hear from 30 cm distance, absolutely unacceptable for studio monitors. Power supply is properly grounded, but it does not affect the noise.

Ordered yesterday. Delivered today. Plugged in, listening, loving! I already have the 3.5 and I was impressed with those speakers. For increased headroom I upgraded to 5. I also own the sub8. Funny when I use the stereo trs subout to left or right on the woofer, there would barely any sound. I realized I use an usb audio interface. Best result is run the signal through sub8 to eris5.
