Pure Encapsulations is by far one of the best supplement brands on the market - so even though they tend to be priced higher, it's worth it to know you are getting exactly what it says on the bottle, and the highest quality form of each nutrient/supplement/vitamin. This multivitamin mineral complex is 100% up to the same standards. Like any multivitamin - take it with food. I won't even risk taking a multivitamin without food anymore because they can lead to stomach upset. I ate a small breakfast and took this - no stomach upset at all. I tend to struggle getting all the minerals and nutrients I need on a daily basis, and this multivitamin really covers all the base nutrients/minerals the body needs. I do take additional Vitamin D with this product, but that is because of mood related support and the fact I work an indoor office job. Overall - for a multivitamin from such an effective and high quality lab, for less than $1/day, is really a great price point for the average person wanting to supplement with a multivitamin. And the pills aren't super big, so easy to swallow.

I've been a big fan of Pure Encapsulation for years, and I'm really impressed with this women's formula. Pure Encapsulation has NSF-GMP + USP-level manufacturing cred, so I feel confident in their products. These lighter color, medium-size capsules don't have that swampy vitamin smell and don't give me indigestion. At ~$28 for a month’s supply, I’m paying about a buck a day for peace of mind and a thoughtful, nutrient-dense formula. Some standouts include: • Minerals - A meaningful doses of calcium (200 mg), magnesium (80 mg), iron (27 mg of gentle-on-digestion bisglycinate 💪), and copper. And the combo of Vitamin D + K + calcium is especially great for bones. • Methylated & Chelated - Uses L-5-MTHF and methyl-B12 plus Albion® mineral chelates. Translation: maximized absorption, friendlier on sensitive stomachs, and MTHFR-mutation-approved. • Mixed Carotenoid Blend - (lutein/lycopene/zeaxanthin) for eyes and skin—nice extras you don’t always see in a “women’s” multi. ➞ A note about iron: At 27 mg (150 % DV), it's safe for most menstruating adults, but consider checking your iron levels if you use this long-term. These are a smart daily “nutrient insurance policy” that doesn’t feel like homework.

This multivitamin has a solid reputation and clean ingredient list, which makes it feel like more of a premium option compared to typical drugstore brands. The capsules are standard size and go down easily, not chalky or oversized, and they don’t have any weird aftertaste or strong smell, which is a nice. It’s a two-a-day formula and includes a wide range of nutrients, including active forms of B vitamins and good amounts of iron, which not all women’s multis include. The formula is designed specifically for women and seems well thought out in terms of hormone and metabolic support. Even though it's packed with nutrients, it tends to be gentle on the stomach, no nausea or upset feeling that sometimes comes with harsher multivitamins, especially if taken without food. Still, taking it with a meal is probably the best move just in case. It is on the expensive side, especially for just a 30-day supply, but the ingredient quality and thoughtful formulation may make it worth it if you're trying to avoid fillers or synthetic forms of vitamins.

After losing hair when I was dieting, I realized that most multivitamins lack the trace minerals that are essential building blocks for hair: copper, selenium, zinc, etc. I was impressed that this multivitamin for women included these. Calcium malate is easily absorbed by the body, and these don't contain too much calcium. Calcium can build in arteries if taken in large doses, especially if it is not an easily absorbed kind like the calcium malate in these. The vitamin A in these is in the form of beta carotene, meaning your body will convert it to the amount of vitamin A it needs and get rid of the rest. That makes it a much safer, organic form of vitamin A than is found in most multivitamins. I just wish the magnesium citrate in these was instead the energy producing magnesium malate, but these are made in the US with the company's address on the bottle as the place that these pills are manufactured, so there is a good deal of transparency. I also wish they were a little smaller in size (easier to swallow), but I had no difficulty swallowing them. My pills won't expire for nearly 2 years.

Pure Encapsulations Women's Nutrients are a multi-vitamin and mineral complex for young women and adults. I have no background in health or nutrition matters so I can't speak as to the content or sourcing of the ingredients for this product. And obviously one can't take a supplement of any type for a couple of days and declare that it par, above par or subpar. That being said, purity of a product is important and I can only trust the manufacturer's assurance that "Pure Encapsulations products are FREE FROM wheat, eggs, tree nuts & peanuts, gluten, artificial colors, flavors & sweeteners, coatings and shellacs, GMOs, and unnecessary binders, fillers & preservatives." The absence of these ingredients, allergens, etc. is genuinely important to many consumers. I find the capsules easy to swallow with no weird smell or aftertaste. That's important to me.
