This is the 5th dash-cam I’ve tried and this one is the chosen winner. I wanted a cam that can be installed on the dash vs on the windshield, and this cam can do both. There’s a warning in the manual that says “GPS signal may fluctuate when using the machine upside down.” but so far it has been working fine. Personally I really don’t care for a GPS map - only for speed indicator, and the speed that is shown on the video clips is excellent evidence to prove that you indeed came to a complete stop (if that’s the case), or your speed in case of collision. The Wi-Fi connection with my iPhone is excellent, quite fast, and the Wi-Fi can be turned on/off by voice command. All the voice commands work very well and you don’t need to repeat yourself. One major thing that I’m not happy with is that you can’t control most of the cam functions from the app, but mainly from the buttons and the touchscreen on the camera. However, once you become familiar with the touchscreen settings you set it to your liking and forget about it. In my opinion this is an excellent dash-cam and worth its price. Much recommend. BTW, since my vehicle is a large 22 footer camper-van, I’m not able to use the rear camera.

This is an awesome little camera! I replaced my older one, which was painful to download content from. This dashcam connects easily via an app using the latest Wi-Fi standard, making video downloads super fast and a breeze. One tip: if you’re using Android Auto, disconnect it when downloading videos or setting up the camera for the first time... this allows for the phone and camera to connect. The compact form factor is great, with a screen that takes up most of the camera's face, for a minimalistic and sleek appearance. The video quality is excellent for both day and night. You can adjust the loop recording duration from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. It comes with an SD card that provides enough storage for at least a week's worth of recordings. The power cord connects via a standard cigarette port that includes a USB passthrough so you don’t lose a power source. The long cord makes it easy to route cleanly around the windshield, and it includes window cable runners for a tidy installation. It also comes with a rear-facing camera (which I haven’t used yet because I was just interested in forward-facing recording). The only issue is adjusting the camera’s position while it’s on. The touch screen is sensitive and will beep constantly while you're trying to mount it, so I recommend adjusting it with the power off. It’s lightweight, sticks well to the windshield, powers on quickly, and thankfully also doesn’t have an annoying startup chime like my previous dash cam. I highly recommend this dash cam for ease of installation, use, downloading video, and installation. It doesn't get easer than this!

Customer ReviewReviewed in the United States on May 1, 2025

This is a very simple dash cam that does the job well. It does not have all the bells and whistles of a more expensive camera; however, all that is needed in a dash cam is one that records front and back consistently. The dash cam is quite small and easy to set up. Video quality is good enough to capture fault or no fault in an accident, but it has a hard time getting license plates unless you are quite close to the vehicle. To be fair, most dash cams struggle with capturing license plates clearly. There is an app connection available, but it is not well refined yet and can be a bit buggy at times. Overall, this is a good entry level dash cam for basic recording needs.

If you have done any research on the best dash cams available, you will most likely see REDTIGER in the top 5 and that's for a reason. This camera is feature packed. It has excellent low light performance and great screen resolution. The video quality is top notch. I installed it on my windshield which was super easy. If you want to utilize the 24 hour parking function, you will need to run a wire to a dedicated power source that stays on when the key is off. One of the main reasons I ordered this is of course for insurance purposes in the event of an accident or traffic infraction, but since I installed it my truck that I use to tow a camper I love that I have a video record of some of the most beautiful scenery when heading to our remote camping spots. Best of all, it's voice controlled so you don't have to reach out to touch the screen when driving to change settings. You just verbally give it commands and it just does it. Great functionality!

This 4K dash cam captures every road detail with stunning clarity, its STARVIS 2 sensor and 128GB card recording my drives in vivid front-and-rear views. The 2.2-inch touchscreen and voice control make navigating settings effortless, while WiFi6 streams footage to my phone in a snap. The 24-hour parking mode adds peace of mind, and the sleek design fits neatly on my windshield. Driving with it feels like having a trusty co-pilot, keeping my journeys sharp and secure. At the time of this review (May 2025) it had a $30 off coupon, making it a much better value.

The right angle mount was missing from box, so I contacted their customer service and they quickly sent a replacement mount at no charge. Received the mount in one week. After that installation went smoothly had everything mounted and wires tucked in within 30 minutes. Downloaded the app to my phone and was able to control all camera options with my phone easily. Very happy with picture quality and ease of use. Love that it came with the micro SD needed for recording. It’s a great camera and I’m very happy with it!

The camera itself is decent, but the instructions are super vague and really only helpful if you have installed a dash cam before. As a total newbie, I was honestly lost. I was reading the instructions, and it just didn't make any sense for me. Because of that, I kept putting off the installation. And when I finally did, it was a very frustrating experience. I had to search through YouTube and Reddit threads just to get things working. How I wish they made setup easier with a proper video guide. Also, you need to buy an extra kit if you want the 24-hour parking feature to work.

I recently received the Red Tiger dashcam, and I’m really impressed with it. From the moment I unboxed it, everything felt high quality — the cabling is durable, and the device itself has a premium finish that looks great in any vehicle. Setup was straightforward. It powers through the cigarette lighter adapter, which even has an extra built-in USB port so you can still charge other devices. I love that they used a USB-C angled connector for the main device; it makes cable management super clean and helps everything stay tucked away nicely. The touchscreen is very responsive and user-friendly. The camera records in crisp 4K quality up front and 1080p in the rear, and the footage looks fantastic. It also comes with a micro SD card included — a huge bonus since that’s rare these days. It features loop recording (with 1, 3, or 5-minute intervals), so you’re always covered without worrying about manually clearing storage. The backup camera is easy to mount and adjust, and everything has a sleek, professional design that blends into the vehicle without looking bulky or cheap. Even in Canada’s colder winters or the intense summer heat, it’s built to handle it all with an operating range of -4°F to 158°F. One of the coolest features is the voice command support. While driving, you can tell the dashcam to save a recording, stop recording, or turn on Wi-Fi, all hands-free. Connecting to the app is also seamless — it’s intuitive, quick to download videos, and easy to navigate. One small thing to note: when you manually stop the recording, the device tends to start recording again automatically after a short while. If you really want it to stay off, it’s easy — just switch the power off on the side of the unit. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this dashcam. It’s packed with features, simple to use, and looks great installed. Highly recommended if you want a high-quality, reliable dashcam setup!

I’ve used a few dash cams before, and this one feels like a nice upgrade in most ways. The front camera records in 4K, and the quality’s genuinely impressive — clear enough to read number plates from a few cars ahead, even when the lighting isn’t great. The rear camera is only 1080p, so it's fine for general recording but not quite as sharp. You’ll still catch anything important happening behind you, just not in quite as much detail. Setup was straightforward — no dramas there. The front camera sits up high on the windscreen and doesn’t get in the way, and the rear camera plugs in with a slim audio jack-style cable, which made threading it through the boot of a hatchback a bit easier than usual. The design’s compact, which I like — doesn’t scream "gadget" on your dashboard. One feature that surprised me a bit was the voice control. It sounds like a novelty, but it actually comes in handy when you're trying to keep your hands on the wheel. That said, it can be a bit sensitive and may not always respond the way you’d expect, especially in noisier environments. Still, it’s a useful option to have — though I can see some people choosing to switch it off depending on their setup. The app is easy enough to use — clips transfer quickly over Wi-Fi (way faster than older models I’ve tried), though for longer footage I still just pop out the SD card and move it to the laptop. It comes with a 128GB card, which is generous, though if you’re planning to use it daily, you might want to swap it for something more heavy-duty. This is a well-made dash cam that covers the basics really well and throws in a few extras. Not everything’s perfect — the voice control is a bit touchy, and the rear camera isn’t the sharpest — but it does the job, and it does it reliably. That’s pretty much all I ask from a dash cam.

I got this dash cam with rear camera and 122GB memory card to improve driving safety. This modern dual-channel dash cam with front and rear cameras was exactly what I was looking for to ensure safety on the road and monitor the car while parked. I was impressed with the full set included in the package. The most valuable feature for me was the STARVIS sensor in the front camera, which delivers exceptional night vision quality. Installation took about an hour—the front camera mounts securely on the windshield using a suction cup with thermal adhesive backing, while the rear camera fits neatly above the license plate. The kit came with all necessary cables, mounts, and even a protective sleeve for the wiring. The body is made of durable matte plastic that doesn’t reflect sunlight and blends well with the car’s interior. What I really appreciated were the multiple useful features, such as 4K video recording with excellent detail, 24-hour parking mode, G-sensor, fast Wi-Fi file transfer, voice control, and a bright 2.2-inch touchscreen. Both cameras deliver outstanding image quality, day and night. Thanks to STARVIS 2 technology, nighttime footage is especially clear—license plates remain readable even in low light. During the day, the camera captures fine details across four to five lanes of traffic. Overall, this is a reliable and functional dash cam that fully met my expectations. The only point to note is that for the 24-hour monitoring mode to work, the device must be connected directly to the car battery—which is standard for systems like this. This model is perfect for anyone who values safety and wants a high-quality video surveillance system for their vehicle.

I've used quite a few dash cams over the years, but the REDTIGER F4 Pro is hands-down the most impressive one I’ve tested — both in how smart it is and how easy it is to use. If you’re someone like me who wants peace of mind without fiddling with settings every two minutes, this camera just makes sense. 🛣️ What stood out first? The image quality. The 4K front and 1080P rear combo captures everything in crisp detail — license plates, street signs, you name it. Even at night, I was amazed at how clearly it recorded, thanks to the STARVIS 2 sensor. It honestly feels like a pro camera that just happens to be mounted on my windshield. 🎤 Voice control = lifesaver. I didn’t realize how useful this would be until I needed to save a clip quickly while driving. Saying “lock the video” without taking my hands off the wheel? Brilliant. It’s those small features that make a big difference in real use. 📱 The app is awesome — probably my favorite part. I use the Redtiger Cam app almost daily to review clips, share videos, or just manage settings. Thanks to the 5.8GHz WiFi 6, clips download super fast (pro tip: it’s a lot quicker than Bluetooth or older cams). 🅿️ Parking mode is another must-have. I live in the city, and having 24/7 monitoring that kicks in automatically if someone bumps my car has already saved me once — and I had the footage to prove it. Just note: for full 24-hour monitoring, you’ll want to add the hardwire kit (not included). 🔄 Loop recording is seamless, and the included 128GB card is generous — I haven’t had to worry about storage at all. It rewrites the oldest clips automatically. 💡 Tips for fellow drivers: - Spend 10 minutes to install it properly — use the included electrostatic stickers if you don’t want adhesive residue on your windshield. - Adjust the rear camera angle before you hit the road — it rotates 360°, which is super handy. - Use the time-lapse mode for long scenic drives — the footage looks amazing! - Keep voice commands simple. I use “take picture” and “lock video” the most. All-In-All: because I care about safety, and want reliable evidence for my drives, or just want to record some scenic routes in amazing quality — this dash cam is a gem and must-have! It's professional-grade tech made accessible and user-friendly. Highly recommended!

Really pleased with the REDTIER F4 Pro. It’s a solid, well-made dash cam that’s easy enough (but not quick) to install and use. The 4K front camera delivers nice, clear footage, great for picking up number plates even in tricky lighting, and while the rear camera isn’t quite as sharp, it does the job and you don't need to fit it if you can't be bothered. Has responsive voice control for hands-free operation but I'll never use it tbh. Having a 128GB card included is a real bonus. It’s compact and discreet behind the mirror. Little tip, if you've not used your 12v socket/cig lighter in a while you may want to check it works before you install the camera...
