Turns a dog walk into a leg workout! Increases aerobic demands. Better than a backpack as it distributes the weight more evenly = less back aches. I find it comfortable even though I did not get the extra shoulder pads. (I got the 20# vest). The removable weights work well and are an important reason for my purchase - it allows me to adjust the load depending on how I feel that day, etc. Only reason for 4 stars is that it does make you sweat more where the vest sits against your skin - front and back. Seems like some kind of semi rigid mesh, etc could be used to allow some air between the skin (your shirt) and the vest. Probably wouldn't wear it shirtless for this reason. Other than that I'd say it is well designed and durable.

I am 63. I have not been working out continuously. When I try doing a weight workout, I can tell I am simply weak. I am using this to slowly build the amount of weight I can carry. (waiting on those grandkids to be born)! This helps because started with just the vest, no weights. I wore it for 15 minutes twice a day for a week. Then I added 1 weight (about 2 lbs) and wore it for 15 minutes twice a day for another week. The week after (this week), I added another weight (about 2 lbs). I put one in the front pocket and one in the back pocket to even it out a bit. There are 8 -2lb weights that I can add, plus the weight of the vest itself. I do believe it is working. I do feel stronger than I did the first day. I recommend this one if you want to start slow and build up. The others I looked into did not offer the ability to remove & add weights at will, so I like that this does. Although there are other vests that would be better for "runners," I could not start with the smallest amount of weight I saw on those. Sadly the smallest weight was only 20 lbs, but I know I am not there yet. I also have a condition, a disease, that I was told would slowly take away my muscles, which is why I am so weak, and why I am hoping this will help. After I get to the full weight of the jacket, I hope to start increasing the amount of time I am wearing the vest. I believe it is a good purchase. It was very well-made and sturdy. It does kind of make me feel like I am wearing a bulletproof vest.

Awesome vest, sort of feels like a really thick bullet proof vest. Be sure to not wrap the right side too far past the middle so the left side can wrap farther around to the right. Trust me on this, it makes for a more secure fitting if you plan to run or bend over. You don't want that much weight coming loose. Flatter weights and better, thicker shoulder pads that have a pad that is attached to the bottom of the wrap around piece would be better but it's still very good. I think if the pad attachment had the pad on the bottom and the current pad wrapped up and around the top of the vest shoulder strap, it would be much more comfortable and could be worn for longer periods. Its the weight on my shoulders that limits my time wearing the vest, but thats the side effects of wearing an extra 80lbs! If you're training for the fire department like I am while working in a restaurant, this is a sure thing. The CPAT fitness exam for the fire department requires you to wear 75lbs during the test to simulate the gear you wear for the job and the 80lb vest is perfect if you want a competitive edge! If you can wear this vest for 3-4 hours a day when you are moving around the most, you can melt around 5lbs of fat a week minimum. I weighed 250 when I started 3 weeks ago. Now I'm at 234.9 and I'm eating literally what ever I want, I'm also wearing that vest 7 days a week in two 3-4 hour bursts a day. Im eating Double bacon cheeseburgers and a large soup at culvers usually at least once a day, all the gatorades and sodas I want, fried chicken, etc. I used to try and fail at keto, now I just wear this vest and get about 7000 steps with this vest on and a total fo 15000 to 21000 for the day afterwards. If you watch what you eat and are still satisfed you could lose more. I just try to lose in a sustainable way. If you work in a restaurant like I do, sometimes it can be hard to lose weight while eating food at work. Wearing this vest is a legit short cut that will let you lose weight without giving up the food you love!

After several days of utilizing the vest to workout on my runs, I can safely say that this is definitely worth your time and money. It is extremely comfortable and easy to wear while running and being able to adjust the weight is nice. My one complaint, and while it isn't a major one is the inability to see how much weight is in each bag to adjust the weight. Otherwise the features of this vest are suitable and easy to use.

My main form of exercise is high intensity walking and wearing the RUNFast Adjustable Weighted Vest provides an ideal amount of extra resistance to my walking regime. It is very easy to adjust the amount of weight you are carrying using the weighted pouches that come with the vest, adding or subtracting weights as needed. I also purchased the optional shoulder pads which makes the weighted vest comfortable to wear on the shoulders. The vest itself is very solidly made and the Velcro straps to hold it in place are strong and sturdy. 5 stars!
