This rain drum is such a cool find! My son and daughter are completely obsessed with it. As soon as we set it up in the garden, they couldn’t stop playing with it. The sounds are super calming and just really beautiful. It’s small but makes such a peaceful, relaxing vibe, perfect for hanging out outside or winding down in the evening. It came with everything we needed, mallets, a little music book, and a bag. It’s waterproof too, which is great since we keep it outside. Honestly, it’s been fun for all of us, not just the kids. Definitely recommend if you’re into chill vibes and want something unique for the garden!

For Christmas, I decided to get two of these mini 6 inch, steel-tongue drums in deep green; one for each for my grown daughters in their 20’s. Both are creatives, and just love making and listening to music! You can choose to play the drum with the two mallets included (along with their rest stand), or with your fingers. There are 8 notes which can be tuned by either slightly lifting or pressing down on each individual “tongue”. Even better, it comes with an excellent instruction guide/music book with songs to play. The final items which are thoughtfully included are a strip of stickers with duplicate numbers for each note, and a great durable black bag to store it all. The only “odd” thing I noticed was there is no number “8” note on the drum. Instead, there are two numeral “1’s” but one has a “•”dot above the number “1”. After pondering it, I realized one of those notes is probably just an octave higher than the regular “1” note. It’s really no problem once you figure that out.😊 This cute drum has three round rubber “legs” making it very stable. The drum is sturdy and well made with a good weight to it, but it’s hollow inside as it should be. It’s well powder coated with a waterproof and scratch resistant paint that protects it from heavy usage and rusting. In the long run, this will help keep the tones sounding beautiful for a long time. Therefore, you can generate your own music, or use it outdoors as a “rain drum” for nature to make her own song. Now how freaking cool is that! There have been various studies showing that vibrations of certain sounds can actually help heal our minds and bodies. In fact, using “sound baths” was a popular treatment in VA hospitals during the 1940’s. The ethereal tones which this drum emanates can easily be incorporated into a meditation session. Humming or chanting along with the notes can help you relax too. Overall, this little steel drum is an object which has the magical ability of holding your interest, reducing your stress, and sparking your creativity for hours! I would highly recommend it as an unusual and thoughtful gift for anyone, at an extremely affordable price! They are a big hit with my kids, and I’ll probably get one for myself as well.

I was so jealous of other people on tiktok haha I needed to buy one buy the bigger ones were so expensive so I got this one to start off with and I LOVEEE it so much I regret not buying it sooner , if you're thinking of buying it don't hesitate just do it!

I bought this drum to put in my garden. It's a nice weight, the size is perfect for my needs, and the sound is pretty good. My only complaint is that the numbers on the tongues of the drum are stickers. This isn't going to make any difference to me since I am not going to be playing it, but if you want to use it as a drum, I would not count on the numbers lasting long. Also, there are 8 tongues on the drum and they are numbered 1-7, and a 1 with a dot above it. There is no number 8.

Nice idea, but doesn’t work at all. Three rainstorms and three different areas I moved it to, but no sound. It will make sound if you bang on it with the included mallets, but not from the rain. The video they made for this listing must have had someone using the mallets to bang on a drum while videoing a wet drum in the rain, because it just simply doesn’t work as described/shown. I had plans to buy many of these to make my entire garden sing. Oh well, very disappointed.

I wanted to love this rain drum. I saw a video of someone using it in their garden and it sounded magical when the rain hit it, so I ended up buying two, one for me and another for a friend. Sadly, I didn’t think realize I purchased during a drought so I wasn’t able to try it for a very long time. Finally we had a small rain shower so I tried it and heard nothing… but I assumed it was too light. However a few days later a heavier rain came so I put it out again. Every now and again you hear a note play… but no where near how the video showed it to be. I am thinking they added in that sound to entice people (like me) to purchase, because I certainly never heard it play like the video shows. However, there is also a little music book to play songs on… and that was fun for a day or so. This is a nice looking item, but I suppose I was just looking for more from it.
