I have two raised garden beds and wanted to add this cart for storage and potting materials. I thought this would be a great addition because it had the grate at the bottom and enough space up top for anything I wanted, while being moveable. Overall, I really like this cart and am happy with the purchase but it’s not really black which I actually wanted. To me it’s gray and next to my black beds, there’s a significant color difference. Directions: Instructions are ok and I put it together myself without too much effort. Didn’t take too long either. Quality: Seems sturdy and rolls nicely. I put a big kale pot on the top which is very heavy and it’s holding it just fine. No bending or warping so far. Hole on top drains well so far too. I spray the plant directly and let the water run off which is nice. Color: bought this because it says it’s black but I don’t think that’s true in my case. It looks gray in person and next to my other black beds, it’s gray. If this is the correct color then I’m not sure classifying it as black is correct. Say gray or Dk gray but to me, this is misleading. I already put it together because I didn’t feel like the hassle of returning so it is what it is. Just worth noting. Overall: worth the price and worth the try

Needed a raised bed planter for my south facing porch. This definitely does the trick. It was really easy to assemble. And is growing things beautifully. The only negative aspect I would say is that next year I'm definitely going to plastic line it. I use a soil mix which retains a lot of moisture and needs with watering but because of that the amount of soil mixture I had to put in there to give my plants the root depth that they needed...it made the planter very heavy ... it started to bow in the middle on the bottom... and when I overwater it even in the slightest, water comes out of every single crack pretty much instead of the middle drainage. But I have a vertical planter underneath with garlic in it that catches the extra water 😂😂 Also noteworthy, I have enough room on the storage shelf beneath for a huge vertical box planter plus extra pots, watering can and so on...and there's even room underneath of the shelf for MORE garden things LOL! But I think leaking is 100% because of the amount of dirt I had to put in there and the coconut coir heavy mixture. I am careful not to overwater and I ran a bungee strap from one side to the other underneath to give it a little more support when it's watered. Which is why I'm still giving a 5 star rating, it's more a cautionary tale 😂 On thickness and stability and so on...the metal is on the thinner side it is a very very sturdy planter when it is set up correctly. And a small miracle of an urban gardening solution. I was perusing standing raised beds for weeks to find the right one, for the right price. and this was definitely it. I live in a state that turns into a frozen tundra in from late Oct to end April... ..so I ruled out wood Planters because we would have to leave it outside being that those don't really disassemble easily, and it would start breaking down pretty fast. This is so lightweight and assembly so easy that we might put in our house for the winter and use it for something else like arts and crafts to hold all of our many supplies! I live in a 2nd story apartment too so ease of disassembly, transport and setup was also a must!!

My first impression of this planter is that it’s fairly easy to assemble. But it’s easy to assemble because the materials are lightweight and thin. This means that if you drop the parts, they’ll bend easily. You need to handle this piece delicately during the assembly process, or else you’ll wind up sitting on your porch, frustrated with yourself, struggling to unkink the bends you’ve put into the metal. To start, it bears stating that this is pretty easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and written in English, not Ikea hieroglyphics, and the pieces are lightweight and easy to handle. I assembled mine single-handed in less than thirty minutes. The pieces hold together with hex-nuts and Philips-head bolts, included. You can use an adjustable wrench and screwdriver for the assembly, but I just set them finger-tight. The pieces are made of lightweight metal, reminiscent of the tooled metal used to make ductwork. Knock on the pieces with your knuckles, and they will ring with the same bell-like tone that you’ve probably heard from HVAC ducts at your home, work, or school. But just like the HVAC metal, these pieces are thin and flexible, and if you knock them around, drop them, or otherwise abuse them, they’ll bend. I had pieces slip from my grip while assembling, putting kinks in the metal right where I’d eventually need to join the pieces together. I got the metal straight enough, but if you’ve ever worked with this material, you know it’ll never be completely straight again. I got the whole thing assembled (thank you to the manufacturer for including extra nuts and bolts), but it does require very delicate handling. At this point, I’m only reviewing how it was to assemble and put into use. I’ve put soil in it (the metal is more than sturdy enough for that), but it’s still too early to transplant anything living. Now we’ll see how it works for actually growing plants. I’ll check back in and revise this review as I find out how it works for that purpose.

Excellent assembly instructions and a quality product for the price. Took 45 minutes to assemble but could be done with two people (as recommended) in about 30 minutes. Nice touch to have drain channels and hole in bottom panel. Follow instructions and keep nuts and bolts loose until assembly is finished. Will be perfect for herb garden, Use light potting mix. Need screwdriver and pliers to tighten nuts/screws.

This is an attractive elevated planter that I put in the only sunny spot in my garden, where it's cobblestoned. The height makes it possible for me to tend to the plants regularly without having to bend over or squat, both of which are not an option due to arthritis. The wheels mean I can move it out of the way if visitors come for me or my dog. My adult son put it together in about 20 minutes. He said it was very straightforward, just fiddly. It helps to have a second person available for one stage, to hold the pieces in place while the other one puts the screws in. Friends who've seen it clearly are impressed with its looks. It looks really nice with the plants in it. I''m growing lettuces and kale, green onions, and some herbs. I chose to line it with the black fabric sold for raised beds and it still drains nicely. If I had room, I'd get another one for next year. I'm just hoping it won't rust too quickly over time. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying it.

❤️ Beautiful ❤️ this planter box makes a ideal herb garden. Mine fit's perfectly under my kitchen window, can watch the visiting bee's, smell the lovely fragrance of the herb's, enjoy the fresh flavors in my meal. Underneath I placed some sun & wind sensitive begonias that are joyfully growing 💗 beneath the herb gardens protection. It's a stunning box, easily & quickly assembled, holds plenty of plants, extremely happy with my purchase. Thank you.

My husband assembled this and was super easy. Very sturdy and frankly an attractive piece which is on my deck full of herbs. I like the bottom rack and have used it for additional plants. Glad I made this purchase.
