The panel was used on a trip across country camping to many National parks to charge 12 v li battery. Worked well and lasted being in back of truck and setup at many campsites

High quality solar panels that perform well. By purchasing a package of two panels, they are a better value. I have used different Renogy solar panels for the past ten years and have found them reliable and easy to mount and install on my RV's without adding too much weight. I will be using the new 320 watt solar panels on my off-site storage building.

I originally tried to save money and buy a different brands and it turned into a nightmare. Inconsistent output and panel failures kept me quite busy with returns and installing new panels just to have them die within or just after the return period. After returning the other panels and buying 8 of these, I have to say I am totally amazed by the quality all around. The box, how the panels were packed, how easy it was to remove the panels from the box, technical specifications with temperature coefficients on the panels itself. Each panel has an individual serial number for the warranty. This is something you won't find on a lot of 'cheaper' panels. By paying the premium which in hindsight was well worth it, I received a 10 year warranty on the panel itself which is guaranteed to not have hot spots as it ages. The panel also comes with a guaranteed power output graph over the years. I have the specifications to know if the panel is failing or working as it should. Everything I've seen so far tells me they stand behind their products. From Testing to testing after installing the ground mount solar rack, all panels are consistent, arrived in pristine condition and most of all, performs as the manufacture says they would. The frame is made of a thicker material and the quality of everything is top notch compared to the other panels I've purchased and reviewed. Since installing these panels, I discovered my solar irradiance monitor is showing low and needs recalibration. There are many panels that are less and seem very attractive. After everything I've been through, I will buy Renogy from now on. I highly recommend this brand and panel for anyone who is doing a DIY solar project. this outperforms even the best of the 'cheaper' panels purchased before now.

I installed these on my sailboat to charge the house batteries. They have functioned flawlessly! I am planning to double my house battery bank and will buy 2 more of these great panels.

Click to play video None of the solar panel boxes came sealed so there’s no way to know whether they are actually brand new. The packaging was quite good on them, so I was very surprised to see that most of the corners of the solar panel connectors are busted and one of the panels has a bent frame. The styrofoam corner protectors are not damaged, so it seems like the damage took place before the panels were put into the protective sleeves. This tells me they are selling damaged/B grade panels as though they are A grade. Even having bought them at a discount during Black Friday, this is not what was advertised, and not worth the price. This seems like a shady practice even though the panels appear to be good quality. If Renogy fixes this issue for me, I will change my review rating.

The panels are very well built, perform well, and are very easy to install. Shipping is not good at all. Despite being well packaged, the shipping company walks on top of the panels (I saw boot prints all over the top panel of the stack delivered to me). The top panel had the backing gouged through to the silicon. However the panel still operated electrically, so the manufacturer (Renogy) didn’t feel a replacement was appropriate until the unit gave out electrically. They did not care about the time, energy, safety, and cost of detecting when the electrical failure occurred - as it was sure to do. Eventually they relented and replaced it, but Renogy’s attitude towards what quality means was brought into question for their entire company - everything they make and sell. They only care about it working when you receive the item, and even then only in the strictest possible sense of working. Beyond that they are gone and done with you and the item sold. Good panels, well built, not all will survive shipping. Strongly recommend testing and inspecting all items immediately upon receipt.

I decided to add another panel to the 100 W starter kit that I bought and put on my camper. It’s the same panel that came in the starter kit. So, it’s a good match.

Renogy makes great panels, I have 6 of them in total. All but this one have come in great condition. I thought from looking at the box that it was going to be smashed, but it wasn’t. There was tape everywhere on the box. All the Renogy panels I received before had no tape, and this one had lots. There was big dent on the top rail of the aluminum and one corner I had to play with to get it to look better, corner not fit well because of dent next to it. I would have sent it back just because of that but the 175w hard panels are hard to find and are expensive. I should have just got the 200w panels. There seems to be lots of them around and cheaper. I still need one more 175w panel to complete my string. I am just thinking of getting a 200w panel. It’s a little bigger but don’t want to pay extra for smaller panel, and also wait till they have any in stock. I test the panel and it seems to still be working good. Haven’t had much sun lately, to test real output of it. I guess we live and learn.

I have 4 of these 175W Renogy panels on my Campervan and they are working fine. I bought them after being satisfied with 4 of their 50W panels. That experience showed me that you rarely get more than half the rated wattage, and usually around a quarter. For that reason you have to have lots of panels. It's really satisfying when they work well.
