Must have for me. We use the hatch rest+ for our baby all night and most of the day- the hatch go when we leave the house. The subscription available on the app offers many good options for soundscapes, music, and light variations. It’s portable so you can take both anywhere. I have the go attached to the car seat, the rest+ just goes anywhere around the house that we do. Easy to use. Useful product.

I purchased this for my newborn because I heard good things about it on TikTok and I love it! The travel one clips to your diaper bag, car seat, etc. It came in handy his first night in the hospital and I now use it mainly on car rides. The Hatch is amazing for bed time with me and baby and the nightlight is a lifesaver for those night feeds when you don’t want a bright light on.

This has been a fantastic addition to our child’s room! We love the wide range of customizable options it offers—from wind-down settings to sleep and wake-up routines. You can easily tailor it to your needs, whether that’s calming storytelling, wind-down music, or different white noise settings for sleeping. One of my favorite features is the wake-up alarm, which we use to help our little one know when it’s time to start the day. We also have it set to light up green, so he knows it’s okay to come out without worrying about disturbing anyone. It’s such a thoughtful product that really supports our child’s sleep routine!

I don’t really know how to rate this sound machine because while it does feel of good quality, I don’t personally like all the bells and whistles it comes with. The portable sound machine is fine, but the full size one felt like a headache and I can only imagine that feeling would be magnified when I have a crying baby during a power outage or WiFi being down. I had a difficult time with connectivity between syncing the app to the sound machine at set up and there was no issues with my WiFi - we actually have a mesh system in our house to avoid poor signal so I know it’s not my set up. That was honestly the first red flag for me which made me second guess whether I wanted a fancier sound machine or one that is more black and white in terms of features. I think there’s a lot of great benefits of the hatch+ like being able to set schedules and connect to the sound machine from your phone…. BUT only if you can connect to it which I had difficulty with even after I got it synced up. I don’t like that there aren’t any buttons on it to really control it manually so it’s not like you have that option if you’re struggling to connect with your phone. That alone is a HUGE negative for me and enough to get me to return this. If it weren’t for the cool little portable sound machine I’d probably give it 1 star because not being able to use the sound machine in too many scenarios basically renders it useless in my eyes. I ended up buying a cheaper sound machine and I’m very happy with that one, but maybe I’m just old school. If you’d rather have a sound machine you can control from your phone I think this is a great option, but just my set up experience alone was enough to give me a bad feeling. I think with an infant all you need is to tap the sound machine on when you’re already physically in the room. Maybe the app aspect would be more useful when you have a toddler or older child that you’re trying to use the light feature to keep them in their room longer before getting up.

I embarked on a quest for new baby gear and came across the Hatch system, expecting it to be some ground breaking sleep sound system. Unfortunately, it turned out to be nothing more than speakers of mediocre quality that play limited soothing sounds. Achieving similiar results is as simple as linking your phone to a bluetooth speaker or a sonos system... The sound options are limited, and acessing their "premium" sounds requires a monthly subscription... really? The sound quality isn't impressive, I wouldn't want to be listening to music on it. However, its portability and the quality of its night light are positive aspects.

I haven’t used the main Hatch yet but the travel one I have. I love the look and features of this, but I don’t love how it attaches to the car seat. It’s not long enough to sit inside the car seat so it dangles on the outside where baby cant hear it unless it’s real loud. Also, the fabric holding the sound machine onto the loop is sliding between the break of the loop and it has also fallen off multiple times which wouldn’t be fun. This feature needs to be reevaluated for future models.
