These are quality straps...hauled my Ultraclassic in an enclosed trailor from Central TX to Central Arkansas. Hit some rough road under construction that had me concerned but these straps didn't fail. Snap hooks on the end of the strap really gives you comfort your hooks won't come lose. I made it a point to stop and check every 100 miles or so and never had to adjust anything. Highly recommend

I was looking for some new straps because my other big box store tie downs that I bought a few years ago started acting up; fraying and not ratcheting very well. I didn't really want to spend as much as these cost but they had good reviews, were made in the USA, and would do everything that I need to do with them and then some (hauling wood, 4-wheeler, etc.). The axle straps, which can also be used as extenders, are great! They even come with velcro straps to keep the straps from unraveling when not in use or the extra "tail" from flapping around when in use. The quality and thickness of the straps are fantastic and the handles are easy to operate with an ergonomic feel. If you're on the fence like I was, don't hesitate - these are worth the money!!

Although I purchase a lot of items through Amazon I almost never write a review. Typically I get what I expect. The few times I have not I eventually realized I did not do enough research on the product. This time is different. The ratchet strap kit showed up in a very nice, good looking and sturdy box. The contents were all still arranged nicely inside with the paperwork laying on top, bright, bold, easily readable and not bent/crumpled/torn or any of the other stuff I usually find. In addition to the straps, heavier than I expected, and the smoooooth ratchets, there were also good quality hook&loop straps that fit the straps just right. Really appreciate that since straps and cords and such always end up a tangled mess. Then, to top it off, there was a decent little draw-string-top bag provided in which to store everything. Is it a high quality canvass sack? No, but it is of good enough quality that I expect it to last several years even with frequent use. Some folks may nitpick that these are not actually made in America. I would say they are out of touch. This is a family-owned, US company that does its own design and engineering right here in the US. Sure, they have their products manufactured elsewhere to save money, but they are also obviously staying on top of their quality control and that is the important part to me. The other part of overseas manufacturing is the savings. I very much doubt you could find a comparable product at a similar price that is manufactured in the USA. I received a product that was above my expectations (when was the last time that happened to you?), at a competitive price, and made (if not manufactured) by a family-owned US company. For that unfortunately rare occurrence, I will take the time to sit down and write a review.

My wife and I bought eBikes within the last year and decided to travel for a biking getaway. We bought a bike carrier that could handle the weight of our bikes. It had good reviews from multiple sites so we felt confident...until it came and I built it. The rack was very sturdy but the plastic straps that hold the bikes to the rack had me concerned. The rack arrived days before our trip so it was too late to return so I threw my bag of Rhino straps in the SUV and off we went. My fears were realized as one of the plastic straps failed on our way up. I used some of the Rhino velcro to secure the wheel. By the time we arrived at our destination two more straps failed. After we biked the trails I mounted the bikes on the rack and used 3 Rhino ratcheting straps to secure the bikes. Perfect combination and it saved our bikes from a catastrophic accident and/or stranding us far from home! The straps confidently secured the bikes to the carrier and I couldnt be happier with them. 10 Stars!!!

The current trend in ratchet straps is to incorporate a D-Ring sewn into the tie-down strap, so that you can, if you desire, loop the strap around your bike and connect the hook to the d-ring. The idea, I guess, is that you don't have to have a separate soft-strap! That's great, in theory, and works fine if the straps don't have to be any shorter than a few feet! But in practice, often we need shorter straps, like for securing the rear end of a bike to a trailer tie-down close to the bike's rear wheel! And when the strap has an integrated soft-tie, the strap's shortest length is made longer by one-half the distance between the D-ring and the end of the strap. So, if you're using a strap on a small bike, or on the rear where the distance between your tie-down loop and your bike is only a couple feet, you're hosed! Newer straps with soft-ties built in won't go that short!! This set is more traditional, in that instead of integrating the soft-tie into the tie-down, they include separate soft-tie straps. I much prefer this method, so I was happy to buy this set of straps after learning the hard way that the other set I bought wouldn't get short enough!! Although imported, these straps are nonetheless very strong and seemingly well made. I carried two motorcycles on my Kendon trailer from Texas to Montana and back, pulling them behind my RV. The straps did their job perfectly! The spring clip retainer isn't terribly strong...but it doesn't need to be! It's just there to prevent a hook from falling off if the bike's suspension compresses over a bump. If you're one of the people that prefer not cinch their bikes down firmly...instead letting them 'float' on their almost totally uncompressed suspension...then you should be happy that there are spring clips to keep your hooks in place when you hit a big bump. Personally, I'm not a fan of that method...I cinch my bikes down pretty tightly, and always have (40+ years). Still, I find the retention clips are a good idea, even if my straps are unlikely to loosen enough to ever need them! But do understand that the clips reduce the 'opening' of the hook area. On my Kendon trailer, I was just barely able to get the hook around the frame rail far enough to let the spring clip close again. If the frame tubes on my trailer had been even just a little bit thicker, the retainers would not have closed! I did have some trouble, initially, when releasing the straps. Pulling the handle all the way back into the release position, the straps wouldn't easily 'unroll'. A couple drops of lubricant (I used garage door lubricant because I had it handy) between the metal parts made them work smoothly. All in all, I feel these are nice straps, and if I had a need, I'd buy them again!

These are high grade very strong rachet straps. I’ve had cheap in the past and they are awkward to release and fiddly to tighten. These have good sized fitting to aid fitting and releasing. Worth paying a little extra for something that’ll last donkeys years! Highly recommended
