Great Support and a Simple Fix I initially left a review expressing my disappointment with the Ring camera for our carport due to the lights stopping functioning just two weeks after installation. However, I want to update my experience. After leaving a review titled “Disappointed”, Ring Support emailed me eager to troubleshoot any issues I was having. In the meantime, I decided to explore the app further and discovered a feature that allows you to turn the lights on and off. It turns out that the lights had been inadvertently switched off—definitely a case of operator error on my part! Once I turned the lights back on, they worked perfectly. I’m now very pleased with the product and grateful for the willingness from support to help with troubleshooting. It’s reassuring to know that the company is committed to helping its customers. Highly recommend!

I've embraced the Ring Floodlight life with gusto. My house now has more of these vigilant orbs than a fancy Christmas tree. I'm pretty sure the local moths have filed a formal complaint about the sudden, unexpected daylight shifts. Because let me tell you, when these lights kick on, it's like someone flipped a switch to the sun. One minute it's a peaceful, shadowy night; the next, it's brighter than a game show finale. I half expect a host in a sparkly jacket to appear and announce, "You've won... security!" Jokes aside (mostly), these cameras are a real comfort. Before, my nighttime home security involved a vague sense of unease and the occasional nervous peek out the window. Now, if a particularly brave raccoon dares to sniff my garbage cans, they're instantly bathed in enough light to film a Hollywood blockbuster. And I get an alert! It's like having my own personal wildlife paparazzi. Being able to see who's at the door at night, before they even think about knocking, is fantastic. It's like having X-ray vision for my porch. No more fumbling for the peephole and potentially making awkward eye contact with the person trying to sell me magazine subscriptions at 9 PM. Yes, the initial cost made my wallet do a little dramatic fainting spell. But honestly, the peace of mind is worth a decent chunk of change. And here's the insider scoop: Ring products seem to go on sale with the regularity of my need for caffeine. Be patient, savvy shopper! Your bank account will eventually forgive you. So, if you want your yard to transform from night to high noon at the slightest provocation (be it a person, a squirrel, or a particularly enthusiastic tumbleweed), and you enjoy the thrill of near-instantaneous illumination paired with smartphone notifications, then the Ring Floodlight Camera is your new best friend. Just maybe warn your nocturnal neighbors – their melatonin levels might take a hit.

We have this above our garage. The flood of light is great and catches everything. My husband loves that he can sound the alarm when I'm in view. It mounted easily and was easy to connect to wifi and our other ring devices and app.

The Ring camera system works very well. It is easy to install and link on the Ring app. The wired floodlight works very well. I had an electrician install it.

The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their home security with crystal-clear 1080p HD video, motion-activated floodlights, and a built-in siren. This newest model combines smart technology with robust security features, making it an ideal investment for protecting your property. Key Features & Benefits: ✔️ 1080p HD Video & Live View – Get clear, high-definition footage of your home at any time, day or night. The infrared night vision ensures visibility even in complete darkness. ✔️ Motion-Activated LED Floodlights – The ultra-bright 2000-lumen floodlights turn on automatically when motion is detected, helping to deter intruders and provide excellent visibility around your home. ✔️ Two-Way Talk & Siren – The built-in microphone and speaker allow you to communicate with visitors (or warn off potential threats), and the remote-activated siren adds an extra layer of protection. ✔️ Customizable Motion Detection – Fine-tune the motion zones to reduce false alerts and receive real-time notifications on your phone whenever movement is detected. ✔️ Hardwired for Continuous Power – Unlike battery-operated cameras, the wired connection ensures uninterrupted performance, so you never have to worry about changing batteries. ✔️ Works with Ring & Alexa – Integrates seamlessly with the Ring app for live monitoring, video storage (with a Ring Protect subscription), and smart home connectivity with Alexa-enabled devices. Installation & Setup: • Wired Installation Required – This camera must be hardwired into an existing electrical box (120V), so professional installation might be needed if you’re not comfortable with wiring. • Ring App Integration – Easily connect to the Ring app to adjust settings, review footage, and receive instant alerts. Final Verdict: The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is a top-tier security solution for homeowners looking for advanced surveillance, bright floodlights, and reliable performance. With motion detection, two-way talk, and smart home integration, it provides peace of mind and excellent home protection. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Highly Recommended for Home Security!

Does let me know when someone is in my driveway but doesn't always turn the light on.
