As a long-time Ring camera user, I've always appreciated the flexibility of battery-powered devices, but battery life has sometimes been a balancing act. With the **new Ring Camera Battery**, I'm genuinely impressed by the improvements. **What I Love:** * **Significantly Extended Life:** This is the big one. I've noticed a substantial increase in the time between charges. Where I used to swap out batteries every few weeks on my high-traffic cameras, I'm now pushing well over a month, even with frequent motion alerts and Live View checks. This dramatically reduces the hassle of recharging and downtime for the camera. * **Faster Charging:** When it *is* time to charge, the new battery seems to power up quicker than previous versions. It's not lightning-fast, but the reduction in charging time is definitely noticeable and appreciated, especially when you need your camera back online quickly. * **Seamless Integration:** As expected, it slots perfectly into my existing Ring cameras (specifically, my Ring Doorbell Pro 2 and Stick Up Cam Battery). No compatibility issues whatsoever, which is exactly what you want from a new accessory. * **Reliable Performance:** So far, the battery has held its charge consistently, without any unexpected drops or erratic behavior. It's providing stable power, ensuring my cameras are always ready to capture footage. **Minor Considerations (not really cons):** * **Still a Battery:** While vastly improved, it's still a battery, meaning eventually it will need to be recharged. For absolute set-it-and-forget-it, hardwired or solar options are still king, but this new battery makes the battery-powered experience much more convenient. **Overall:** The new Ring Camera Battery is a solid upgrade for anyone with battery-powered Ring devices. The extended battery life alone makes it a worthwhile investment, saving you time and ensuring more consistent security coverage. If you're tired of frequent battery swaps, this new iteration is definitely worth considering. It truly enhances the user experience and makes Ring's wireless cameras even more practical for everyday home security.

I’ve been using the Ring Rechargeable Quick Release Battery Pack for my Ring Video Doorbell 3, and it’s been a total lifesaver for keeping my home security seamless. This lithium-ion battery is compatible with a bunch of Ring devices, like the Video Doorbell 2, 3, 4, Plus, Pro, Spotlight Cam Battery, Stick Up Cam, and more, so it’s super versatile. Swapping it out is a breeze—just press the quick-release tab, pop it out, and slide in a charged one in seconds, no tools needed. It’s perfect for keeping my doorbell running without any downtime, especially since I don’t have hardwiring. The battery life is solid, lasting about 6-12 months depending on usage—mine’s going strong at 60% after two months with moderate motion alerts (10-15 daily), which matches Ring’s estimates. Charging is simple with a micro-USB cable (not included) or the Ring Charging Station, taking about 4-5 hours for a full charge. The build feels sturdy, fitting snugly into my device without any wobble, and it’s backed by a one-year warranty for peace of mind. Some users mention shorter life in high-traffic areas or with frequent motion detection, so tweaking settings like motion sensitivity helps stretch it. A few reviews note occasional charging issues, but I’ve had no problems using a standard USB-C cable. For anyone with a Ring battery-powered device, this spare battery is a must for uninterrupted security. It’s reliable, easy to use, and keeps my setup hassle-free! Check compatibility and adjust motion settings for optimal battery life

This is an amended review. I had a problem with a battery I purchased and then posted a cautionary review a few months later. I was not asking for a replacement because a lot of time had gone by. Ring reached out to me, sent me a replacement, and promised a tech would call at my convenience to help diagnose the problem. It turned out that the original battery was shipped with a defective charging cord. My batteries are charging fine. I love my ring devices, and I am so pleased with their products and customer service. Truly a Five Star company. Thank you.

Definitely nice to have a back-up battery. I was hesitant to get these after reading some reviews and went ahead and just bought it because we needed it. This one definitely last a bit longer than the original one we received.

This was to add a back-up battery for our ring doorbell. It works fine. I wish the batteries re-charged more quickly so this 2nd battery wasn’t necessary
