Didn’t realize I needed a new battery until the original one only geld a charge for a few days. Also the color went to black and white. Installed the new battery and back to color now. Works great.

The battery lasted about 6 weeks, which isn't too bad. We like the facts of not having to drill to install this nor try to do the hardwiring for the hardwired ring. This backup battery is great. This way, when the Ring Doorbell's battery needs to be replaced, this backup battery is charged and ready to go, so there is no time that your doorbell has to be offline. Yes, there is that slight hassle of recharging and replacing the battery, but it's really quick and worth it.

I can absolutely appreciate these additional rechargeable batteries as I can't use a solar panel. They do last a good while depending on your camera settings. Mine is set for every setting that can drain a battery lol. I prefer that so that I have a longer view on my camera. But these definitely help keep the ring camera powered on with very little down time.
