Easy to install, nice setup with update of course, works great. Camera is high quality very nice picture quality. The birds eye view is a little confusing, since I have a big tree in my viewing area, but it does work using what I assume is google earth views, since the tree has leaves, and it does not right now. Very novel idea. The lights function but could be brighter. Very nice night vision. It replaced the earlier version, and I am very satisfied.

Click to play video Spotlight Cam Pro is, so far, a good camera with some nice features. Installing it was rather simple. When you setup the camera, you just scan the QR label with your phone and follow the steps. The spotlight feature is pretty useful for smaller areas, but it won't light up a large area. You'd probably need the Floodlight Cam Pro if you need to add light to a larger area, but those need to be hardwired to function. The audio recording is pretty good, it picks up voices and footsteps from 20ft away. The video quality is nice too, it's not 4k but the 1080p is still good. The birdseye view works, although I don't quite understand the full scope of what it could be used for. Also, the Pre Roll function is strange. It pre records motion, but the quality is like that of a Playstation 1. Super grainy and pixilated. And once the "Pre Roll" ends, the quality clears up. But at that time, the person or vehicle or whatever caused the recording to begin is too far away to be recorded in good quality. So, again, I don't quite understand what the "Pre Roll" function is useful for. These cameras also come with Enhanced Colored Nightvision and HDR. I can't say I'm super thrilled with the way these cameras handle the light. It's dusk at this very moment, and there's still some light in the sky, but the Pro cameras are already in Nightvision mode while a couple other Camera Plus cameras I own still show a colored Live View. I included pictures of the Pro Cam and my Video Doorbell Plus, at the same in the evening, and you'll see what I'm referring to. You can set schedules for camera motion and the cameras lights, and you can also create light groups if you want to turn on certain lights on certain cameras. So I have 2 Cam Pros on the front of my house in a group, so I can turn on those cams lights independently of the other cameras I have installed in the back of my house. Then I have the rear house cams in a group to turn them on at the same time if necessary. You can talk to people through the camera as well, just like with the Ring Doorbells. There is also an alarm you can activate if you ever need. There is also an Emergency Services function in which you can call police or the fire department through the Ring app, in case you witness anything on your property that requires an emergency response. One thing I noticed, which may or may not mean much, is the boxes in which the Spotlight Cam Pros came in. One of the boxes is fancier. All the lettering is silver, and raised, the blue background used for text is darker, and it has the signature of the inventor on the side of the box while the others don't. So I don't really know if that means anything. I don't know if the cameras have anything different going on internally in terms of the quality of hardware used or if it means one camera is older and/or newer than the others or what. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase of all these cameras along with the Ring Doorbell Plus. They're all functioning the way they were meant to and I would recommend them to anyone trying to add some protection to their homes.

We have had ring cameras for awhile now. Recently we discovered someone on our property who didn't belong. Didn't even have to think about it, we updated immediately. Quality is great. Very clear with 2k. Love the fact you can now pre roll a video, and birds eye video. Smile we got you on our ring!

Overall, I'm happy with this camera. I have it installed on my patio, which faces a commercial corner. The one thing I'm not happy about is the dual-battery. I assumed that when the first battery was depleted, the camera would switch over to the second battery, but that's not the case. When the first battery gets too low, the camera shuts off. That makes zero sense! What's the point of having a second battery? That said, I purchased a second set of batteries so that I can change them out quickly. Otherwise, charging the depleted battery takes about four hours. I have to change the batteries out every 2-3 weeks. Also, every time I change the batteries, the Ring app shows one battery as missing--it takes the app several hours to recognize both batteries again.

I really like the upgraded video quality of these 2K cameras. You can definitely see the difference from the older cameras. The 3D Bird's Eye View motion sensing is really nice however it is not so useful because of the concrete wall that is so close. The upgraded motion sensing is great as there have been zero false alarms

Ring camera is perfect. Not only does it capture videos, but it also light up when motion is detected. I highly recommend this product.

Have this mounted on our shed. This is the first winter having it and I'm glad it has a spot for a second battery so I don't have to go out in the cold as often to replace the battery. Picture is nice and sharp. Lights and siren aren't all that bright or loud but I kinda figured that before I bought it. The light is at least bright enough to get a good crisp image, but not to actually scare anyone away. For that I integrated it into SmartThings to turn on all my exterior lights when its triggered.

Not a bad little camera and the motion light is very handy. Installation was easy and getting the unit online was a breeze. Battery life is very dependent on how often the light comes on and how bright the light is set, but it's not bad. The extra battery slot is a great idea and I immediately got an additional battery for it. The camera is a little more grainy that expected but good enough for home security.

It's good for what it is, how ever I thought I'd be able to see a license plate from the other side of the street but you can't. So "good, but not amazing".

I’ve got several of these now, and when they are linked to a Ring Solar Panel, it’s “set and forget” - no need to ever change batteries. The customer service at Ring is also excellent and they definitely take an interest in the products they sell as they continually update the software with nice features and enhancements.

I purchased two of these because I'm already using Ring products for my home, and I chose the battery + solar option because there's no electrical wiring available. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the battery life of the cameras was incredibly short, and even with the solar panel fully connected and power efficiency settings at their minimum, I had to charge the cameras every week. Despite following all the troubleshooting steps recommended by Ring, I saw no improvement in performance. At this point, I can barely rely on the cameras to function properly. If you're in the market for a solar or battery-powered camera, I suggest looking elsewhere.
