After reading some reviews, I was pretty scared to try this... But I am soooo glad that I did. It makes me believe those who got "wonky" colors from this have the wrong fabric to use with this dye or they are dying something that isn't white. I tried using the washer method, and I say "tried" because I have a stupid washer and it wouldn't hold the dye and water for longer than 20 minutes, so I didn't even get to soak it for up to 30 minutes the way the instructions suggest. I also used a cup of salt per the instructions. I was dying a white sweater that is 100% cotton. I was nervous when my washer automatically drained the water early, but I had no choice and rinsed it in one cold wash cycle. I didn't wash it with warm water since I couldn't soak it as long. I ended up LOVING the way it turned out. There is a chance I may buy another bottle in the future to do another soak to ensure full saturation, as sometimes I can tell in certain light that it may not be fully saturated in some places because my washer drained the water so early. But this color is exactly as described, sage green. And even with the trouble with my washer, I still love the way it turned out. Now my favorite comfy sweater that I was nervous to wear because it was white is something I wear and enjoy all the time! So glad I went with my gut and took the risk! Make sure what you're dying is the right kind of fabric for this dye and if it's white, you should end up with great results. Thank you, Rit! Wish I could add a pic but I don't have a smart phone.

My rv carpet was bleached out in places so mixing 1/3 bottle of this with a 1/3 cup of distilled vinegar in a gallon jug and filling with the hottest water from the sink faucet. I used a spray bottle and sprayed a medium coat on the carpet, using a brush scrubbed it in and taking a large rag soaked in cold water and rubbed it in thoroughly, it evened out and set up and now looks like a new carpet. It doesn't rub off. Needless to say, I am very impressed with this product.

Color did not match bottle after dyeing white fabric, plus it stained the inside of the washer. It also spilled over & made a huge mess on my brand new floor.

At this time, I've not used the Rit dye. I have used this brand quite often with wonderful results. I've just not had time to use this yet. Amazon has been the only place I could find sage green.

Don’t not let the dye liquid fool you! Opening the bottle the color looks eggplant purple. However, if you follow the dilution instructions (it will still look purple) on the fabric it comes out a pretty shade of misty blue (light blue/green/gray). It is not as green as shown on the bottle, even after rinsing and washing. It’s pretty, but not “sage GREEN”.

My cotton throw blanket was initially a baby blue color. This was my first time ever using fabric dye. The instructions were fairly easy. I let the blanket soak overnight then put it in the washing machine the following morning. The color looks more of a teal than sage but I'm happy with how it turned out. I suppose it depends on previous color and how long you soak as to what color you end up with.

I love RIT dye. RIT is always good quality and it performs well and lasts for a long time. It is very easy to use when you dye in the washing machine. I feel it's a little expensive for the size because you need more than one bottle if you are dying anything bigger than a pair of pants. I like the color but it isn't quite and dark as I expected it to be.

I bought this for a tie-dye project. It turned out fabulous When doing your tie-dye I made sure that I wrap my bands tightly and made sure that I had the same design on one arm that I had on the other arm front and back Tie-dye is fun

Nachdem ich vergebens mehrfach versucht habe mein synthetik Kleid einzufärben hat es mit dieser Farbe geklappt. Wichtig ist das man sich an die Anleitung hält
