Heavy duty. Won’t crack after being frozen. Great size.

Was looking for some flat plastic storage containers I could use to freeze some family size portions of marinaded chicken breasts. These US-made Rubbermaid containers work great for this...they're more heavy duty than the cheaper containers from the supermarket, lids fit snugly, and the containers snap together so they don't slide around if you stack them. Happy with the purchase so far, now I don't have to use plastic storage bags that have to be thrown out once I defrost the chicken.

I love the shape and size of these containers as they are low profile in my refrigerator and are perfect for various sliced cheeses and luncheon meats (or anything else; i.e., left-overs, etc.). This set contains four smaller volume containers and one larger volume container. I do wish that the larger size were available to buy separately or in a set.

I purchased these for 16.50 prime. I use them for storing soups and stews when I make large amounts. For more liquid soups, it's about two or three meals for me. For less liquid stews, it's about four or five meals for me, so I can easily plan accordingly in terms of what to take out of the freezer when planning meals for the week. They do harden in the freezer so they can be difficult to open if you open them right away out of freezer. If you let them thaw or run them under warm water, it is easier. They are sturdy with a pinch of flexibility to allow for a decent seal. I like these better than the newer ones with the little latch on the top for microwaving. They're way better than the disposable ones. I like that they're small enough to carry in my work bag when I walk to work. However, if there is any liquid in them, I put them in a zip lock bag or two to avoid any seeping into my work bag since I have to store them sideways in the bag. I do prefer these for home use due to possible leakage. I do not recommend these for the bottom of a cooler filled with ice but would be okay with one filled with the plastic ice blocks. Still searching for a leakproof container that is lightweight for work. For the price point, I'm satisfied and would buy again .

got tired of rummaging thru flimsy bags of veggies in freezer. wanted a see-through cold temp container to organize. these are perfect. you can see what inside at a glance. they stack nicely. no more rummaging! you still have to be careful as they will be brittle like most containers in freezer. the size is perfect for putting two small bags of store bought frozen veggies in, or one large bag. my freezer is small. if i had a larger one i would have gotten a larger size but these fit my purpose perfectly. im tempted to get another stack to handle my baggies of stock, leftovers etc.

I also have the larger ones but those are more for storage whereas these fit a generous meal. Or if you're not a hungry eater you can fit two meals in a container. Great Rubbermaid quality and seal. I hand wash as well as pop them on the top of my dishwasher. Makes life so much easier if you don't have time to prepare a new daily menu.

We didn't try it in microwave, but they are easy to use and stackable well.

Love them. good size for freezing slices, muffins, small cakes, donuts and other food in. stacks well in the freezer. Have one that is a bite smaller that I have had for years that I use all the time in the freezer. this was the closest that I could find.

These containers are very handy. I have smaller and larger of these Rubbermaid containers and now I have the middle size. Lids snap on tight with no leakage.
