The Additive is the perfect solution for anyone looking to add extra safety and traction to their floors without compromising on style. Whether you’re applying it to a garage floor, driveway, patio, or any concrete surface, this additive offers peace of mind by reducing the risk of slips and falls while still delivering a professional finish. One of the best features of this anti-skid additive is how simple it is to mix and apply. It blends effortlessly into most Rust-Oleum floor coatings, including epoxy and latex-based paints. The instructions are clear, and the additive disperses evenly throughout the paint, so you don’t have to worry about clumping or uneven texture. Even if you’re a DIY beginner, the process is straightforward.

I strongly advise you mixed this material in with your epoxy or polyurethane for the floor because you can’t toss it in the air like the paint chips because when it hits the surface, it makes a very strange, uneven and not very appealing surface dimples, whereas if you mix it in with the material, then roll it on the floor it looks great and works great, and doesn’t really mess up the glossiness of the surface

Used this mixed with some outdoor polyurethane on my deck stairs to give them some traction for our dog and for us. Worked perfectly just enough grip to keep you slipping.

You can really feel the grit when this is mixed into deck stain. Needed that feature on my front wood steps which often are wet or icy.

I used this in conjunction with another product from the same manufacturer. I noticed that all packets regardless of fl oz have the same instructions: "One 3.4 oz package treats up to 1 gallon of coating." So if you have a packet with double the amount, it's the same 1 gallon use instruction? Can't say I noticed any slip reduction. Also it's important to add this to your last coat of epoxy paint, as per instructions. The product is just ok. You will notice in the US, this is a frequently returned item. Check the one-three star reviews.

Sloped steps in northern climate; and want to avoid insurance claim. Combined with the Kilz porch paint, the suspension was perfect, and the hard particles preserve the paint surface "gluing" them down (unlike soft particles that can roll off).

It adds just enough texture to make it not slippery.
