I'm satisfied with this usb hub. It works well and serves the purpose for which it was purchased. I do wish that my laptop came with more usb ports so that I wouldn't have to buy these usb hubs.

Works great! I connected it to a Raspberry Pi 0 to use a wired keyboard and mouse.

Wanted a hub long enough to not put too much weight on the USB-C ports on a Tablet PC. It's not long enough to lay flat on a table in this case, but one end does rest on the table which will take some stress off the USB port. Speaking of weight, this thing is super lightweight on its own. Feels solid, but its weight, while great for my use case, might feel a bit cheap to some people. That said, this does provide great IO for the price. Sadly, the HDMI is only 30hz when outputting 4K, but if you just need this occasionally to output to a TV, just use 1080p and call it a day (4K is probably usable for watching movies). If you want to use the HDMI port and passthrough charging at the same time, be aware that you will receive the following message from Windows upon plugging in your power cable: "Display connection might be limited: Make sure the DisplayPort device you're connecting to is supported by your PC." Seems like the display functions might be limited (or non-existent) while plugged into a power cable. Only had the message appear with the power cable plugged in. I have not tested it's HDMI port yet.

This hub came in great time, well packaged, and just as advertised. It comes with a USB A connection to plug it in, though I would have preferred a USB C.

This was one of the few that has push button on/off buttons for each input. Works great and gives me more control. Recommended!

These are perfect. They have individual on off switches and are must if you laptop or desktop only has one USB port.

Self-bussing USB hub users often experience two contradictory qualities: it is highly convenient to have a small hub that will run on self-bussing computer power; AND the hubs often don't perform very well. Since current Macbooks only have two USB ports, I depend on self-bussing hubs to handle 2-3 2 TB external hard drives for storage and backup of professional film files, card readers and the external connector for my mouse. Often these hubs don't provide good response for external hard drives and card readers, but this one is excellent. The connectivity is great, and my backups go through seamlessly. I have a complicated Broadcast card reader that requires one USB connector for power and another one for data transmission. I am able to plug the power cord directly into a USB port on the Macbook and the data one works fine through the hub. This hub has been a lifesaver and gotten rid of a lot of frustration in connectivity and functionality. Another great feature is the ability to easily turn the individual ports on the hub on and off with the push of a button. A clear blue light indicates whether the hub is on or off. This cuts off wasted power flow to any hubs that are not being used and saves the power for the hubs that are in operation. Excellent! I usually use 2-3 of the 4 ports and it's just great to be able to direct power by turning the other ones off! I also run up and down stairs with my computer a couple of times a day to go from film studio to living room to home office, and the hub has strong connections and a well-build but light design that easily travels with me without disconnecting my portable hard drives. I recommend this hub. Good for expansion, good for "smart connectivity," good for travel.

A USB-C hub is pretty much essential if you plan to use desktop mode on the Steam Deck and aren't planning on buying a dock. You don't strictly have to get a hub, since everything from controlling the device to transferring files can be done with free software solutions, but this thing makes life a lot easier, and it's not very expensive. Since it can also do everything a dock would do for the Deck (except stand it up and make it look nice), you could get this instead to save the most money. But if you might want the dock, you don't need to get this as well. Bang for the buck purchase. Recommended for use with the Steam Deck or any general purpose USB-C hub stuff.

I can use this with my Huawei mobile to output to a screen in desktop mode and also as a portable dock for my Nintendo Switch to large screen and power in to the Switch. Its well made and compact and I'm sure it will also prove useful in other ways as it also includes memory card slots along with USB 2 and 3 slots.
