Click to play video I'm generally very impressed with this 50" Samsung tv for a variety of reasons and I'm glad I picked this up. I've always purchased Samsung tvs (own about 6 at this point), and I've only had issues with one of them and to Samsungs credit they quickly came to my house and replaced it with another one. This newer Samsung blew me away though, setup was extremely easy, had it on it's stand and entirely setup in under 20 minutes. Granted I already have a lot of the "accounts" setup with Samsung so for me it was super easy; however, even if this is your first Samsung "smart tv" the setup is incredibly easy and everything is streamlined using QR codes, but you'll definitely need an internet connection to take full advantage of this tv. Picture quality is fantastic and the sound is beyond impressive, I've always been someone to add soundbars, but honestly depending on how you want to use this tv it may not be necessary. For me personally, I plan to use this in my gym so given that the sound is perfectly clear and much louder than I anticipated I have no urge or need to add a soundbar with this, the sound is much better than I anticipated. The remote is also extremely cool, it's been about 2 years since my last Samsung and they've definitely stepped up the remote control game. It has a solar panel on the back of the remote now so I'm pretty sure the need to replace the batteries is a thing of the past. I also appreciate the microphone on the remote so I can quickly give this voice commands to navigate. The built in Alexa or Google Home is great for easy control and makes this a very versatile device. Additionally, since I use Direct TV, I simply added my account on the tv (no firestick needed) and I can now stream my tv provider without the need for any sort of additional Direct TV equipment (my favorite aspect of this tv). The thin profile makes this look fantastic when mounted to a wall and it's much lighter and easier to move around than older TVs. Overall, great value tv that's packed full of some really cool technology, assuming this tv lasts like my other Samsungs (I'll update this if I have any issues), I couldn't be happier with it - 10 stars.

I’ll be honest with you. I am not a TV tech guy. This review will not delve into the internals and technical specifications of this TV. However, as a TV watcher and user, I can tell you this is my 3rd Samsung TV and my 3rd QLED TV. This Q8F model is phenomenal and the best Samsung I’ve had. Yes, the QLED (quantum dot) is impressive. You will immediately see the difference between this and any other 4K TV. You will notice the difference between this TV and other QLEDs on the market. As a novice, I certainly have. And without question, I can confidently say it is worth every penny. Installation was straightforward. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish, including mounting to a wall mount and updating software. I did have issues with the Samsung phone app, but that was the only hiccup. The native menu system is fast and intuitive, which, in my opinion, is the biggest and best upgrade the TV has. We still use cable, and the TV naturally recognizes it as the last used input and stays on it when it is turned on. Its e-arc sound has been great and connected to our sound bar immediately. There have not been any dropped connections or cutouts. I am amazed by the updated menu system and its speed. This is the fastest TV I have used. The Samsung Q8F TV is a sleek and modern addition to our home. It is significantly thinner than any other TV we have. This replaced a VIZIO TV of the same size, which was not much older. The Samsung is almost 2 inches thinner, so the TV size is enormous. It features a small bezel along the edge, providing a nice, full-frame look. Samsung did a great job on this TV. I am impressed with it.

After lots of researching this tv, I made the decision to buy the 75 inch and it is big. I found a lot of conflicting info in multiple sites listing the tv as edge lit and some said direct lit, and samsung said its full array local dimming. Well, whatever it is, its not as crisp as I thougjt a Q:ED tv from Samsung would be. Up close its very watery and viewing angles arent so great off to the sides. It is a plastic back with some weird bubble that easily collapses when pressed on lightly. Kind of cheap in my opinion. The remote is fine, the Tizen tv part is fine, but the Art Store feature being offered isnt fine. You get some free stuff but it wants you to become a member. You have to scroll down to nearly the bottom to find the free stuff. And the images are very dark. Called Samsun and they said i needed to email a certain dept. about it. So this is a new mode made in March 2025 so probably going to be some rapid updating when the bugs start to show. The tv is light weight, very very thin. Sturdy feet. Nice to look at, very minimalistic, plain. I like it but I really thought the picture would be better. But its a low-end price point so I bought it for cost more than anything. update 5/12 well after watching this new tv all i can say is it doesnt look much better than the Crystal samsung tv i replaced it with. some of the issues may be with content but im watching movies through the apps on the tv so....i dont get it. its not the sharp clear picture the listing makes you believe it is going to be. may be returning it but not wanting to spend 4000.00 on a tv to get a sharper picture. so my theory is the price point denotes the picture quality. and so we deal with it?
