I had a 9 inch before but it was slow and laggy. I decided to get a better one and found this. I was not sure if the screen would be too large for me. What I found is I personally love it. It is absolutely awesome for both on road and off road navigation. I loved being able to see way down my route and it was nice and fast so finding the next gas or food stop to add to my route was a breeze. I also really like that you can split the screen three ways and when doing so all my apps worked well. I do not like in dash screen headunits so I purposely bought an old style with buttons and knobs. So for me I was able to place the tablet low where it blocks most of the headunit so it does not block my view at all of the road. I stream exclusively so really all I need is my steering wheel controls. The 11 inch screen is big though and many, if not most, will probably not like it as much as I do. For me it was a dream. I do have a data plan and bought the one for my service. I have not had any issues. The sim card went right in and was working, giving me 5G service. I do always download offline maps for my trips and on my last one that took me way out and without service the GPS of the tablet was great and never once did it not know where we were. Made the trip a breeze. Personally, I prefer using a tablet like this instead of a in dash screen for a few reasons. First, I can take it with me. I can take if from vehicle to vehicle and then take it inside my tent, hotel room, house, etc. So, I have everything right there in one place. That brings me to my second reason of planning. I can have it with me anywhere and plan my route and trips right there. So if we stop to eat and I want to change some things and or check some things out I can easy and without having to sync anything or sitting in my vehicle. Third, I love that I can have it facing me. I hate how a in dash screen points straight back and prefer to have it facing me for the best view. This just works for me and I prefer it. I do use the tablet for other things like cruising the web, and it does that well too. My last one I mainly only used for nav and kept the app count low to try and keep it as quick as possible. That has not been an issue with this one and now watching a movie or show is much better on the much larger screen.

1. This device is the T-Mobile version and let me tell you how frustrating and annoying this thing is to get set up. First, you need a Sim Card to power it on......unless you search for hours and find the most ridiculous thing Samsung has ever done. When I say you get stuck, you literally cant do anything. Then I found a random YT video where the guy tops in the top left corer, top right, bottom right, and bottom left corner.....3 times, then he holds down the volume down..... That is what you have to do to connect to the wifi and access the device. Then when I get in, there is no network capability and unless you have a specific T-Mobile micro SIM. Other carriers will not work. I tried 2 different carriers SIMs and one is even fed off the the TMobile network....still wouldn't work. Mint Mobile uses T-Mobiles network and MINT told me this device is not compatible because it doesnt support VOLTE. 2. The tablet was actually super laggy when I was trying to get the network set up. Very slow to respond. Seemed like a generic chinese knockoff to be honest. 3. The amount of junk that was loaded and that I was being asked to install was mind blowing. My phone is a Pixel so I am adapted to Googles pure Android.....I was blown away at the amount of ridiculous bloatware. 4. I called T-Mobile to see if the device could be unlocked to another carrier and was given a load of BS about how it has to be connected to a T-Mobile account to be unlocked and I needed to call the person that sold it to me. I told them it was Amazon and I didn't have Jeff Bezos contact information and she said there was nothing more T-Mobile could do. 5. I called Amazon to get some tech support and it was literally the most generic customer support possible. She just repeated everything I said and then said she could send me a return label or give me Samsungs contact information. Do not buy this stupid device. I was ultimately trying to get a tablet for our daughter that could have LTE or 5G capabilities and was an Andoird OS and not iOS. Do not buy this garbage. You have been warned.

I love the large size of this tablet. I love the fact that this tablet becomes a giant telephone when I use it to make calls. The graphics are excellent. Transferring data from my Samsung S22 phone was quick and super easy.. Great, Great. tablet.

I bought the one for T-Mobile since I had a Mint Mobile SIM card and Mint uses the T-Mobile network. The SIM card does not work in the Galaxy Tab A9+. You have to get the unlocked version. I have a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into a car's OBD2 port. The dongle works with two different Android phones I have but it did not work on the Tab A9+.

Note that the 1 star is for the product description and not the actual product; I never even got a chance to use the actual product! I purchased the TMobile "Connected" version of this tablet. After researching Questions on this product page, one response stated the price was a one-time price with no additional monthly fee required. This is NOT true. The tablet arrived, and when you turn it on you must insert a 'sim' card or it won't even operate. I went to my TMobile store to get a sim card, and they will give me one, but it requires an additional $20 per month recurring charge on my TMobile account, along with a $10 activation fee. The product description should say TMobile COMPATIBLE, not CONNECTED. Now I need to return this one and order the one that is compatible with a wifi connection instead. Know that if you are buying a 'CONNECTED' version of this tablet, that it requires a monthly subscription with a cellular service in order to set up the device and use it on their network. You won't even be able to just run it as a regular wifi version, as it requires a SIM card to even get past the initial setup screen.
