First things first: this thing is *huge*: my desk is 4 feet long and this monitor takes almost all of it. You don't sit in front of it, you sit *in* it. This makes for stunning immersion, but also means it is really difficult to keep the entire screen in your peripheral vision. It will replace three normal displays and the 5120x1440 resolution is enough to notice it's better than your old 1080p displays, while being low enough not to require the purchase of a new video card (Note: running an RTX 4070, YMMV). A surprising number of older games will play on this at full res, and once you get used to using keyboard commands or the windows 11 pop-down menu for window management, it is a production BEAST. Cons are few: it's large and heavy (obviously), and the included stand is a bit bouncy while you're typing. Not shown here is an aftermarket desk clamp I bought for it (available from two different suppliers) that locks that bouncing right down. I think an extra $29 for a properly secured display is reasonable. Overall, I absolutely love this thing and would definately buy it again.

Let me start off by saying that I was very apprehensive of paying $1000 for a new screen after I was left with a single 27” monitor for work and gaming. I was more apprehensive when I read all the reviews online about this screen and some of the issues people have had with it. Even more when considering a refurbished one. I decided to take the plunge and treat myself with a G9 for my birthday. It’s everything I was expecting and more. Extremely good resolution, a truly immersive experience to game on, a great piece of equipment for productivity, and the screen was in perfect shape coming out of the box. There are a couple of physical imperfections (tiny scratches and dents on the body of the screen), but nothing that would impact its performance or that would warrant a return back to Amazon. There are a few quirks to know about the setup and usage of this screen (tinkering with settings like HDR, Nvidia settings, brightness, firmware updates, etc.) but a quick Google search or watching a couple of YouTube videos will help you get started. I actually skipped the whole firmware update since it came with the latest version installed. I would say that’s the only negative since you’ll need to play with the settings to get to the picture clarity and fidelity you’re looking for. I would recommend this screen for anyone wanting to take their productivity and gaming to a new level. I promise you won’t regret it, and you can rest assured that this refurbished option is a great one considering the price of the newer model (Neo). You won’t regret it.

Amazing picture quality after tuning. Vivid coloring and smooth motion in gaming. No motion blur. Renewed monitor but had no problems with it so far. Only thing I don’t like is that they gave me the C49G95 model instead of 97 when the box said C49G97 which is the newer manufacturing date model, unless they rebranded to 97 with the 95 flaws when people were returning them with the manufacture defect. But they corrected the problem obviously because mine works flawlessly. Had for a few months now no issues. Great price for renewed vs. retail.

If you're shopping for a monitor like this, you already know what kind of quality to expect. This is moreso a hats off to Amazon Renewed. The monitor arrived in an in-tact box, it looked untouched. I have not seen any artifacts like bad pixels or such, and replacing two 27" monitors turned out just like I expected. There are alot of cables running to it, but the cable management does a good job of tucking them away neatly. Long story short, the renewed G9 functions perfectly and I would buy it again..from Amazon Renewed. I see no reason to jump into the latest version at $1800. Thanks Amazon Renewed for offering quality and value on this one.

so wide any vibration from my desk make it wobble... I may wall mount it that will solve the problem. Nevertheless would have been nice to have come with a better design to hold such a large screen

I was worried that I wouldn't like the curve, but the arc is perfect. I used it with a MacBook Pro and the arc perfectly flows with my field of view and keeps the screen at a consistent distance from my eyes as I turn my head side to side to look at different parts of the screen. Using the Magnet app I can easily pin apps to different sections of the screen, including easily splitting it into thirds - which has become my standard view for business work.

This products sound is not working and it the warranty expired. After calling Samsung to fix the sound they said this is a renewed item that wa s bought in Jan 2022 and renewed in May. I just bought the item 2 days ago and the sound is not working, thankfully Samsung is fixing it for free.
