I have used Snark tuners for years and because of their affordability I had no problem lending/giving the one on my guitar to another musician who needed one. If you have never used this type of tuner, it allows you to tune in noisy environments by reading the vibrations from the headstock of the guitar. The ST-2 is a nicer version (a couple steps up from the base model) and is quicker to tune, can be set for different tunings, can be set to work with its' built-in mike or (better) from the vibrations of the instrument. Because of the nature of its' clamp, this chromatic tuner can be placed on the tubing of brass instruments, the headstock on a guitar/stringed instrument, or the bell of a woodwind instrument. It can also be set to work with its built-in microphone and attached to your music stand (perhaps for use by a vocalist). The neck/display is adjustable for almost any angle and the display is large and easy to read. The ST-2 also has an automatic shut-off feature that turns the unit off after 10 minutes to conserve batteries. My other unit doesn't have the shut-off, alternative tunings, or the microphone feature. The shut-off would have helped me since I sometimes leave it on and find it dead the next day. Comparatively, I also use the D'Addario which is quick to tune, super low profile, and has a button to adjust the orientation of the screen's readout. This allows the tuner to be placed almost anywhere on a headstock, even between tuning pegs. It only works on guitars. If you are a serious musician or just really enthusiastic this is a great piece of equipment for you and will help your music.

I use this with my electric guitar and it's really handy .. i would say for practicing and on the spot tuning it works really well and is pretty accurate . if you are tuning for gigs i would suggest a better quality tuner for more accuracy . This tuner is excellent and easy to use for beginners ! and anyone wanting to do a quick tuning , it's very convenient . no batteries needed . works right out of the box .

Excellent tuner, and nice color. It tuned my guitar perfectly in just a few minutes. I have a lot of tuners including another snark tuner. This is the best one I have used so far. I think the price is pretty good for a really great tuner.

I got this for my partner, who I just got a bass for his birthday. The tuner it came with sucked, and wanting nothing but the best for them, I got this in hopes it would be as good as others said it was. Thank God it was! The battery came fully charged, and we haven't even had to charge it since their birthday two weeks ago. It's pretty easy to use, the screen is pretty readable with how bright it lights up, and it's overall a really nice quality! It's slightly bigger than I expected, but looking at other tuners it now seems like a perfect size. It functions perfectly, and it reads true! My partner has been using it almost daily, and they love it so far. 10/10 would recommend :)

I have used these for decades. 90% of the time it's clipped to a music stand - not my violin. Far more awkward to navigate on a fiddle neck or scroll than a guitar. The battery powered ones always worked fine. First time with a rechargeable and it's clear and bright... but wouldn’t work set on mic, unless it was on the instrument. I had to play the open D string fff to get it to react, then go to A, and it wouldn't last but a second there. ?? Then… the next day, tried it again and poof! Worked fine all day clipped on the stand. IDK… but it’s fine now… so if yours does this, give it a day to wake up, or something. lol It's the red ST-2, with both options for capturing sound. T who days later… still working fine. 🤷‍♀️

Bright Display, fast response, accurate and inexpensive. Easy and intuitive to use, large button and display. Design allows the display to pivot to almost any position, much better than competitor tuners. Rechargeable. Highly recommend.

Deze tuner is de eerste die werkt voor de F# snaar op mijn baritone, en tevens de eerste die goed werkt voor de lage "B" snaar op mijn 5-snaar bas.

I bought this tuner to tune electric and acoustic guitars using vibration mode and mounted on their headstocks. My experience is that it works very well in vibration mode for tuning both acoustic and electric guitars ... including solid body and hollow body electrics ... when mounted on the headstock. I tried tuning some solid body electric guitars using the microphone mode. I found that the microphone mode didn't work as well on solid body electrics when mounted on their headstocks. But, I didn't try putting the device closer to the body of these guitars when using microphone mode. It is sturdily made and easy to use. I would recommend that you seriously consider this Snark product if you want a great tuner to tune your guitars using vibration mode with the device mounted on your headstock.

Akustik, Western, E-Gitarre, Ukulele CHECK.
