The power strip I use for my computer is in a place where it collects a lot of dust and at some point, it bothered me that the dust could get into the outlets and then get electrocuted or cause a fire or something. I'm not sure how great the risk of that happening is, but I got these outlet covers so I would never have to think about it. Thank goodness, what a relief. The thought of dusting the power strip, too, was not good, as it would be difficult to unplug it first, due to where it's located, so that I could safely dust it with a damp cloth to get all of the dust, as opposed to the dry-dusting style of dusting which pushes the dust around from one location to the other. Now I don't have to scheme around that because going forward I can just damp-dust the extension cord which is now safe with the outlet covers, whew. One less thing to worry about. These outlet covers are a simple thing, but details matter and I'm very glad to have these. I can see using them in the kitchen, too, on outlets which may get splashed with water or which may get poked with metal utensils (I have an outlet in my kitchen right next to my utensil crock, which has a granny fork in it which could potentially get into the outlet while I'm putting another metal utensil away in the crock and then I could get electrocuted from that). These outlet covers just make it so that I don't have to think about any dangers from live outlets at all. I don't go around stressing from the live outlet situation or anything like that, but I see the outlet and the dust or the metal utensils and so it then crosses my mind that something could go wrong. These outlet covers are an easy solution to resolve the whole thing and I highly recommend having them, they're very worth it!!

A must have for curious babies. These ones grit pretty flush around the outlet so babies can’t pull them off. I’ve tried others that are just flat and my little one was able to pull them off. These ones curve around the outlet and the only way to pull them off is by getting your nail under the cut out notch.

Difficult to remove but that’s the whole point! My child is drawn to outlets and trash cans. These help protect him. He tries to get them off but so far after multiple months he has been unsuccessful thankfully. They are easy to put in and seem durable. It’s an old school product that gets the job done. Must have baby proofing product.

These Safety 1st Plug Protectors are a simple, affordable solution for babyproofing your home. We used them in every outlet within crawling distance, and they’ve held up well. They fit snugly enough that little fingers can’t pull them out, but not so tight that adults struggle. I love that you get a generous pack (36!) so you can cover multiple rooms without running out. They’re also discreet and don’t stand out against most wall colors. That said, they can be tricky to remove quickly without a flat tool, so keep that in mind if you’re constantly swapping plugs in and out. Pros: • Affordable bulk pack • Tight, secure fit • Neutral and low-profile Cons: • Tough to remove without a tool • Might not be ideal for frequently used outlets

Typical product. Hard to rate as this is a standard item that does not have much opportunity for endorsement or criticism. They work. They come out with a little muscle but they are new and it's a hard plastic item. They are standard and I would purchase again. Fair price point and value I guess.
