Click to play video This latch is strong and versatile. I like how you can switch it around to be unlocked especially when we have people over. My kiddo gave up trying to get into our cabinets which is crazy. Easy to install, small not bulky, keeps my baby safe from things inside our cupboards! Highly recommend this functional tool for all parents. Even in rooms that aren’t kitchens.

Love these!! Safety First is a great brand. I purchased both these (Secure to explore) and another set (Adhesive cabinet latch) very similar to these. The only different was these have another adhesive piece that was a problem for some of my cabinets and had to be either not stuck to the cabinet or cut off. The picture with the circled piece is the extra piece that these have. The other picture with the black adhesive shows the lip that these (secure to explore) don’t have. The adhesive cabinet locks have this lip to help with placement on the cabinet.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the best solution is for child locks for drawers at this point, but I figured that buying a reputable brand like Safety1st and spending a good amount of money on two boxes to do my kitchen would do the trick. Spoiler alert: it didn't. This kit comes with sticky pads as well as screws to secure the locks onto your drawers and cabinetry. The sticky pad options are a joke, as a simple pull on the drawers is enough to rip the pad right off and it'll never stick properly again. Furthermore, you need a decent amount of space in each cabinet/drawer to install the locks otherwise you will have quite a bit of overhang. I secured as many of these with screws as possible, but I have cabinets that were from 2003 and the countertop is not flush with the top of the drawers but rather has a small overhang. This in turn made it impossible to secure the locks with screws in 70% of my drawers and even the ones I was able to use screws on would still break under moderate use. In addition, the overhang of the countertop made it quite painful to reach into the drawer to push down on the locking mechanism in order to unlock it, so I found myself sticking a wooden flat spatula into the opening to disengage the lock which was absolutely absurd. I've seen the magnet locks before and I'm tempted to try purchasing a set to give them a try, but my wife and I were afraid of losing the magnet(s) and being locked out of our drawers which is why we initially decided on this set. Lastly, the locking mechanism takes up a significant amount of space in your drawers which cuts down on how much you can actually store in the drawers, defeating a big reason for the drawer's usage in the first place. Overall, a terrible product which was not very easy to install and didn't even work well when installed.

Good while they work, but many have snapped off after several weeks of regular use, and I'm tired of replacing them. Also difficult to open for adults with weak fingers or small hands.

Easy installation on framed cabinet doors. Like the ability to lock and unlock. Adhesive appears to be strong and comes with screws as an option. Not grandkid tested yet.

Click to play video These work great. They have even improved upon the anchor to make it even more secure. The ability to switch the lock back and forth is great. Here is our internal QA testing it.

These do not work if the cabinet is under a counter with an overhand, or under a drawer with a thick front. The door doesn’t open enough to get your finger inside and push the latch down. Save yourself the hassle of having to scrape all the adhesive off if your kitchen is like mine.
