I'm a first time Mom of a 3 week old daughter and I just absolutely love these nail clippers. Before she was born, I didn't really see a need to buy separate nail clippers for her, I figured that I could just use my own. So many baby products are simply not necessary and never used. But for the price, I figured, I could risk it and just have them just in case. I was so lucky to have bought the right one on the first go. The choices for baby nail clippers are basically just miniature nail clippers, the ones with the magnifying glass and then this one with the safety bumpers and the light. I also decided to invest in these because plenty other Mommas out there had told me how baby nails are paper thin, hard to see, sharp as razors and many Mommas were still afraid to clip them in fear of accidentally hurting baby so they just put on those baby hand gloves instead (these prevent baby from scratching up their faces with their sharp little baby talons as they flail around in their first months of life).
Once I had my little one, I finally understood what all the other Mommas were talking about. It's all true. Baby nails also grow so quickly and I'm finding that they need to be trimmed every three days or so. I'm only clipping a tiny, tiny little bit off at a time, but it's this little bit, that when left unchecked, really allow them to scratch up their faces and scratch me up too. They really are sharp!! I found that the best times to clip are when she's breastfeeding or when she's asleep. Since I'm using these all the time now, I really found them to be a Must-Have.
These clippers are great because the light really does help A LOT. These little tiny fingers and tiny little nails are hard enough to see. Also, I'm clipping when she's napping/breastfeeding - this means usually I'm in bed with the lights on low. I'm definitely not doing this in bright sunlight or a brightly lit room - so the light on these really help. It allows her to not have to be bothered by bright lights while I have this handy little task light aimed precisely where I need it. The safety bumpers on either side of the clippers serve 2 functions: 1. holds the tiny LED lights 2. prevents you from sliding the clippers too far up her finger and clipping too much nail. In fact, between the size of the clippers and the safety bumpers, I find that the clippers pretty much fit right up against her nail perfectly for a safe and easy cut. This really makes it easier and is also really helps build my confidence in this task.
I completely recommend this product. It's so fairly priced and it's such a necessary task that I would buy two.
UPDATE: My baby is now over 4 months and I've been using these nail clippers since her birth. They are still going strong and I still love them. They work perfectly, the light is still a must have since the best time to clip her nails are still at night when she's sleeping. During this time, I've heard of many Moms who have accidentally clipped bits of finger while trying to clip baby nails to where there's blood and everything. I'm so grateful I haven't had an accident yet (knock on wood) and I feel like these clippers really help to minimize that risk greatly. Still highly recommend these!

Used these with both of my kids and i absolutely love them. Easy to grip and love the light on the end. It makes clipping baby/toddler nails a breeze.

I love this. The light helps make sure I don’t clip the skin. My child also hates getting his nails clipped so I can do this in the dark while he’s sleep. Great value and the grip is easy.

This thing is genius and should be on everybody’s registry. I can finally clip my LOs nails in peace and without fear of chopping off his finger.

I have an old version and this new version of nail cutter to compare. Old version the handle was the same style, tiny bit wider, no light, but the nail cutter was bigger. I used the old version for 8 years and didn’t break until recently. Now the new version I love that it has light because I cut my child nails at night. This new version the handle is almost the same but it’s a tiny bit less wide but the worst thing is that the nail cutter is super small. I have to be very careful in not cutting the skin of my child because it’s so small and the edge where the light is at is in blocking view of the edge of the nail 🥲🥲🥲🥲 I wish I could go back to the old one because the light does not bring back the convenient size of the nail cutter. The only pro is the light. This nail cutter is ideal for new borns 👌 definitely great for infants

Cutting my babies nails is hard because she’s always on the move then she’s sleeping in the dark and it’s hard to shine light just on her nail to cut so having her fall asleep in the dark and then having these nail slippers with a built in light when you open it to use it super handy. It lights up her nail just enough where I can really see that I won’t cut her and get a good cut on her nails.

The nail clippers work great. I've not nicked my son's skin once using these, and they're easy to hold. The light is very helpful and makes it easy to see what you're doing. Some people report that the light is too bright, but I don't have an issue with it. You don't want to stare directly at it, but I find it very helpful. I loved them - while they lasted.
The downside: The clippers aren't durable at all. My son is not yet 9 months and I already have to replace them.
The little metal piece that attaches the lever to the main part of the clippers isn't very durable. After just a few months of (gentle) use, it started giving way, so the lever slides, and if you're not holding it exactly in the right angle, it won't cut, so you have to try over and over again - not fun with a squirmy baby. Ist just broke off completely (see picture).
Probably for the same reason, the light on the clippers also tends to come on randomly when you're not even touching the clippers - the lever moves away from the button that keeps the light off, and so it turns on when you don't want it to. Someone would bump against the table, and the light would come on. Luckily (??) the clippers broke before the light's battery could exhaust itself because of this.
Edit: Our second one broke now, too. It lasted a lot longer than the first one, though. We now have two kids, and used these almost every day to cut the baby's and the toddler's nails. The light still worked, but once again, the lever broke off. For this one, we didn't have the issue where the light doesn't turn off even when it's supposed to. I found these so easy to use and convenient that I'm now ordering a third pair.

So after a use of 2 years I am writing this review as this nail clip is what I have used on my daughter since she was a new born until now. The light on it is perfect to cut nails when the little ones are sleeping. The light is bright for good view of nails. As a toddler my child is always happy when I use it to cut her nails as the light on it is center of attraction for her and I feel she think the light is doing some magic cutting those nails lol.
All in all a good buy, worth every penny.
