As a casual gamer I don't see the benefits of higher refresh rate monitors or ultra high contrast or all that jazz, I just look for a decent experience at a reasonable price and this delivers.

Bought this wide-screen monitor on advice from my smarter-than-me daughter, who has a similar setup on her work computer. I had been considering a second 24" monitor to match the one I already owned in my 3-year-old HP laptop-based Windows 10 system. She suggested this 34" monitor would be a better alternative, because of the on-screen space efficiency (fewer bezels) and the reduction in cables running across my desk. At $260 from Costco on Cyber Monday, it's also cheaper than two separate 24" monitors. It's taken a few days to get accustomed to manipulating windows and tabs within one big screen, rather than multiple screens. However, now I find it to be smoother and quicker to navigate through windows and tabs than moving the cursor across screens. The 3440X1400 resolution makes for a sharp picture, and the 75hz refresh rate makes it quick to reload an image. It came complete with not one but two HDMI cables; not sure what the second one is for, or the difference between the two. Maybe Samsung, if they see this review, will answer that question. Definitely recommend this monitor!

The extra desktop space is great. It is 1440 pixels in height, so if you are moving from a 1050 or 1080 pixel monitor, the text is going to be smaller. You can fix that in scaling though. The monitor is about 2 feet away from my face and small text at the far edges is really small. I see now why there are curved monitors. This is fine, any larger than 34" I think a curved monitor would be a better choice.

Great for having massive screen real estate without the dual monitor lines in the middle. Just staring at this screen every now and then puts a smile on my face.

Wouldnt recommend, a no frills monitor if you are on a hairline budget but not worth the eye strain and lackign quality image. They have the resulution but everything is dull.

I purchased this monitor to replace two normal monitors because I was tired of dealing with two monitors. My eyesight isn't what it used to be. Specifically, I don't need glasses to see the monitor right in front of me, but because this monitor is so wide, I can't see the left and right sides of the screen sharply. I have to bob my head left-and-right to see those edges. When I had two monitors, they were placed at an angle so that I could see them both clearly. I'm returning this monitor and getting a curved one instead. Another complaint I have is that the image is more faded than my previous monitors. Increasing the contrast from the default does help a little bit, but not enough. The monitor supports features like "game mode" and "cinema brightness". These options only make the image blurrier. Turning off the monitor is a real pain because you need to use a joystick to turn it off. This is annoying because I like to turn the monitor off at night so that it doesn't accidentally turn on and wake me up. Finally, this monitor is not adjustable. You can't raise or lower it, and you can't rotate it in any direction.

I use 2 of these in a dual monitor workstation setup. It's like having 4 monitors. Great price for the amount of screen real estate. Image quality and refresh rate are very good for work. My only gripe: instead of a simple push button to toggle on/off, you need to operate a joystick button on the back. Due to the power-off nature of display port, when you shut down your workstation, you have around 6 seconds to turn off the monitor, otherwise it will take another 10 seconds for the monitor to light up again so you can operate the joystick button. If you don't mind the monitor remaining on standby all night, then this won't be an issue.

Due to the screen size , there is a 10-12 second delay in lighting up after the computer has booted. Other than that it is an awesome monitor …. So far !
