I used a fountain pen previously: I have to fill out a lot of depositions and these must be hand-written. My writing bites, so the fountain pen helped a lot. But, all of the fountain pens leak. I carry a pen with me and def could not do so with the fountain pen. I saw the reviews on Schneider pens so bought a few. I'M HOOKED!! They write very well, are super comfortable to hold, and fit nicely in the pocket and look good. They DO NOT leak. The blue part in the pic is solid and a little grippy, but not soft enough to come apart, really a perfect grip. Now, they are a bit different. The ball is wider than most, and I never liked this in the past. BUT, the control the pen lends when writing is incredible, so now I love this ball point size. My writing is better with this pen than even with the fountain pens I used in the past that were always the easiest for me. Also, the pens are very solidly made and replacement ink cartridges would, for sure, be worth the expense, and I feel with most cheaply-made pens this would not be worth the cost. These pens rock.

The Schneider extra bold pen provides a consistently smooth and bold writing experience. The ink flows effortlessly, creating clean, defined lines. The ergonomic design ensures comfortable writing for extended periods. The durable tip maintains its shape and precision over time. The vibrant ink colors add a touch of personality to my writing. This pen has become my favorite for notes, drawings, and everyday writing tasks.

I can't help it! Like most people, I have a favorite, comfortable pen (or 20)!!! I recently purchased these pens due to other reviews. I wanted a comfortable grip, wider than a stick pen, but not like a jumbo crayon! Needed to be a smooth glide, PLEASE, no scratching sounds from the paper contact! I also didn't want to spend a lot! This pen hits every one of my wants! Each ok. holds 5 pens. The cost was $3.13 each. The grip is smooth blue, slightly rubberized feel with the barrel at the grip being a little wider for comfort! Point is bold, but not smudgy! Smooth, clean writing lines! Really comfortable!

I picked up a Schneider pen from some random source and I loved the way it wrote. It was a version with a removable cap which made it less convenient. So I ordered these ballpoint versions and they are awesome. They make writing so much more enjoyable. They aren’t the cheapest alternative, but they are worth the money.

I’m a semi retired physician who never switched to electronic medical records meaning I write copious notes in patients charts for over 30 years. Back in the day when big Pharma was allowed to try to bribe doctors with free pens I never had to buy pens but I also have written with hundreds of different pens, some cheap, some very high quality. When the rules changed such that the pharmaceutical companies could attempt bribery anymore I had to purchase pens but that meant I tried even more different pens, some cheaper, some expensive. I realized I became a pen snob. When I needed to buy some more pens Office Max had one Schneider pen available. At the price I defied the store policy of don’t open the package because if I can’t try it I won’t buy it. I was blown away. It was almost an out of body experience. You have to be a pen snob to understand this. From that moment forward I have written only with the Slider Rave XB in black. I have purchased probably a dozen packs of 5 over the years and I have them everywhere at the office, at home, I’m my purse and my office staff used them too. Some reviews say they run out of ink too fast. If you bought through Amazon you may have gotten a knock off. Amazon is well known for allowing this practice. I’ve been using only these pens for over a decade and only have purchased a dozen pens but was writing all day every day and I have only used 2 refills of the package I bought. You have to consider the life of the item with the cost because cheaper pens run dry way quicker. Some people say they leave blots and o think those are knock offs. How can the same pen provide such different experiences? Mostly all 5 star reviews then a one star because it’s too expensive or it ran dry. I think my decades of writing with hundreds of different pens then 5x12=60 pens that an entire office staff used and I wrote with exclusively and I write copious notes. 60 pens used 5-6 days a week at the office and 7 days a week at home over 10 years abd I’ve only had to refill 2 pens? This is the best pen. It’s my dream pen and all the 5 star reviews are accurate. If you think a Bic pen is equal in quality perhaps you don’t have an appreciation of tactile experiences. If they’ve run dry quickly you’ve gotten a knock off. I buy only from the Schneider store itself. Not from Amazon. And, I support this company because it is so environmentally forward and have philosophies that most companies don’t have. They walk the walk. Employing special needs people to package the pens is proof. The technology is typical top notch German technology. I will always support this company and will never write with any other pen to the end of my life. That’s how great they are.

I bought these because I’m a pen snob. The type of person that only lets people borrow pens that I don’t like. If I only have my good pens on me, I tell them I don’t have one. Cause they steal them. Anyway, I digress. Wonderful pen if you’re looking for a smooth writer. But the ink flow isn’t good. It’s a ball point pen. Not a rollergel. If they had this pen’s smoothness with the ink flow of an energel or pilot v7 or v10, even a G2, I would be sold and this would be my new favorite pen. I’m looking through their rollergel line to see if I can find one that will be my endgame pens. But after $25 for these I’m cautious. For now, these go in the the loan out pocket.

Got an Amazon warehouse price, rather than the eye watering price usually. I have a thing about pens and stationary in general. And theres no going past German and Japanese pens. They're just so far ahead of the rest for style and performance These look lovely and are great writers. These and Pentell. Both great. Then theres Staedtler for the felt pens and Stabilo....and Muji. And Pilot....

These are my favourite pens. They write so smoothly and feel good in the hand. I make sure to take one everywhere I go. I will be buying more of these when the ink runs out.
