Love these bulbs! They pair very easy with Alexa. Love the adjustability of the color range. Gr8 addition the other Sengled bulbs that I own. With Alexas help automation of these smart bulbs is simple.

After much research, I opted to buy a 4 pack of Sengled Alexa Light Bulbs, 100W Equivalent - for use in our bedroom. I also opted to purchase an Echo Dot (gen 5) to control them as Alexa voice commands to your phone will not work. The light bulb verbiage: “Alexa Only” along with “Bluetooth Mesh” signify the bulbs will work only via Bluetooth and not via WiFi. Also, if my WiFi is down or gets a weak signal - they continue to work. They pair too easy: screw them into a lamp, turn the lamp on, say “Alexa Discover Devices”, and about 30 seconds later the bulb (device) is added to Alexa’s list of devices and named “1st Lamp” and so on for the other bulbs. FYI: the bulb is referenced as “1st Lamp” or “Lamp 1”. Or you can rename it using the Alexa App. After I installed the other 3 lights - I used the Alexa App to group them and named the group “Lights” to work with the command “Alexa Lights On”. After the initial setup using the Alexa App - I use Alexa voice commands to adjust their color, brightness and temperature via group name or individual name. And, if I manually turn a light off - it returns to its last setting when manually turned on. Here is something most interesting: they also work in 3-way rotary switch lamps. Note that click-1 is the same as “off”, and click-2 and click-3 is “on” with no difference in brightness. I saw a couple reviews that stated these 100 watt equivalent bulbs (1500 lumens) were lacking in brightness - and found that was not true. Sengled has engineered a quality bulb and I will buy more because of their easy setup, overall functionality and 3 year warranty. Update 11-30-2024: 1st problem after 10 month of daily usage. I lost almost all Alexa communications except off/on. I could not adjust color, temperature or percentage. However, it was an easy fix. I did not have to “reset” each bulb and “discover” them. I just turned all lights off via command. Then I disconnected the electric cord from the Echo Dot and waited about 30 seconds before reconnecting the cord. Then I waited about 1 minute until the time of day displayed. Then I gave a couple simple commands to Alexa to insure the Echo Dot was working. Then i gave Alexa numerous light commands to insure the problem was resolved. Too simple!

These bulbs are great. The added feature of the automatic connection to the Alexa app is super convenient!

These pair great with my Amazon Alexa. They are dimmable and you can choose any color. They also have the option to gradually change the brightness. I liked them so much I have purchased them for several rooms and even have a set to my son.

I bought over $300 of these bulbs and they’re horrible! Everything worked great, until about 30 days later - past the return window. All bulbs on the Alexa app state "Device unresponsive," no less then three times a week. This means that I have to reset 144 bulbs at least once a week. Now, the bulbs are stating "Device unresponsive," and they won't reset - no matter what. I've renamed all of them (none of them even sound close to the others name), flipped the on/off button 10 times, unscrewed/rescrewed them, reset circuit breakers and the list goes on. I contacted Sengled Customer Support directly (because it was after the Amazon return window) and this is their exact response: “…we've recently received a few similar complaints about difficulties in establishing a Bluetooth connection with Alexa. Please allow me to provide you with a recommended solution: Please monitor the number of devices connected to your Echo. If you have more than 15 Bluetooth devices, it could result in unresponsiveness or other related problems. One solution could be to increase the capacity of your Echo unit or reduce the number of devices connecting to it. In case the first step doesn't resolve the issue, we suggest resetting the Bluetooth bulb by switching it on and off at least five times consecutively, until the reset is successful. Please download the Sengled Bluetooth App to set up the bulb. If your bulb can be set up via the Sengled Bluetooth App, it means the bulb's firmware is functioning as it should. We suggest reaching out to Amazon's Alexa technical support team to assist with integration issues between your bulb and Alexa.” Now this is obviously Sengled’s way of saying - Hey that’s too bad but we already received over $300 of your hard earned money and we’re not giving it back AND go spend some more of your money on more Echo devices and maybe they’ll work. I emailed them back and called FOUL, saying that no where on their description does it say that you can only use 15 bulbs per Echo. What it does say is that if you use the Sengled Bluetooth app, then you can’t use an Echo device with them; which is why I bought the defective things to begin with. Oh by the way, they don’t work with the Sengled app anyway, so thank for nothing. I seriously HATE these bulbs and as soon as I buy the old fashioned bulbs where I manually turn them on/off - I’m going to take a hammer and smash them all to millions of pieces and then have a party.

Great bulbs and no separate apps are needed!

They’re ok but have an issue. Bulbs themselves are great and on their own are just nice. Having the ability to control lighting level and color with my Alexa is easy and it even has its own app if you’d prefer that. They don’t seem to get very hot either but I usually lower the brightness. However, here’s the issue. As of right now, I’m unable to connect to the bulbs so I’ve been stuck dealing with the fact that my room has been blue and I’ve been unable to change the color after dealing with this issue for a while. I gave up and downloaded the app thinking my Alexa was just having an issue Connecting to them for whatever reason. Well it turns out even the app can’t connect with the only trouble shooting being “make sure they’re on”. I’ve disconnected them several times, unscrewed them and put them back and put them back into pairing mode and can’t even pair the bulbs to the app anymore so I have no idea what’s even happening, it isn’t my Internet either. They just randomly started behaving like this and I’m not sure if they are going to go back to normal or not. Defeats the purpose of them being LED with abilities of lowering brightness and changing color.

i bought different type of "Sengled" lights, here are my finding.. - 60w 800lm softwhite - its okay, pretty dark to me, good for task light, table lamp. hot to touch after 5mins than Phillips Hue - 100w 1500lm softwhite - mabe around 1200lm, but its also same price as Phillips Hue Softwhite.. so.. why not go for a branded one? One of them didnt work, returning whole pack. hot to touch after 5mins than Phillips Hue - 100w 1500lm RGB - def not 1500, more like 800lm, i also found the "soft white" warmer color is actually more bright. I like it show RGB color at start, so you know its not soft light bulb. great for its price. - Alexa can only add simple colors. I downloaded the app but lazy to reset to test the RGB and i'm returning. not sure if it can do dial and disco like Hue can do with plugin. - Compare with Phillips Hue.. i had a set of Phillips since 4 years ago, used for a year or 2, the hub ocassionally have problem, and i later feel bored with it so never use it. But Hue runs much less cold, its warm during run, but not hot like Sengled. If its same price, or 20% less, i would still go for Hue, as it should last longer, better community support and possibly software. Personal take: - returning 60w softwhite - 100w softwhite has problem so i have to return anyway, going to try Hue softwhite, if its good keep, if not, gonna buy Sengled 100w again, hopefully wont have problem. - RGB is too dark, and i have Hue.. returning and buy when i need extra RGB. UPDATE: trying to set up all software 100w, 2 out of 4 has issue. tried reset (on/off 10 times), didnt work, tried few things randomly. didnt work. i start to doubt on their quality, I dont want to waste time on this, planning to return all these lights.

Easy to install and link to your Alexa device. (Make sure it's linked to your account when you buy it.) Bright enough in soft white mode to light up a small room. Other colors are not as bright, but can be used for a relaxing effect. The only thing that limits these bulbs is that you only have 16 discreet colors instead of being able to dial your own through an RGB color mixer.
