Bottom line: Super efficient, quiet, and comfortable at a good price. This mini split system allows for individual zone control which lets us keep rooms at different temperatures or focus AC on rooms (especially S,SW facing) that need it more than others. So far I have installed two outdoor units and 6 indoor units. I also have one more three-zone system on the way. The plan is to completely replace our two 17-year old, 13 SEER central ACs with these and at the same time improve efficiency and comfort. So far I think it's going really great. The first system took roughly 26 hours (across 5~ days) from start to finish. The second system probably took about 12 hours across 3 days. I took a lot of time reading and re-reading the installation manuals. I also spent a lot of time considering where the air handlers, condensers could/should go, where to make holes, and how to route the line sets with minimal length and bends. The 28k BTU condenser unit is very heavy and needs at least two people to move around without denting. I am using Senville's WIFI-KIT accessory to make each unit compatible with my Home Assistant server. This base system can be upgraded with larger sized air handlers and longer line sets on Senville's website. A tidy DIY installation is not for the faint of heart, but it is definitely possible if you're smart about it and are willing to buy some inexpensive specialty tools/equipment (flaring tool, vacuum pump, etc). There are also steps completely missing from the manual that an HVAC technician would be able to reason through and that an impatient novice could totally mess up. For example, when purging the system, there are separate valves for each zone and an additional set of main valves. The installation manual does not mention anything about these separate main vs zone valves nor does it clearly show the location of where they are. So some reasoning is required to understand the procedure and do it successfully. And FYI, the 10-year compressor warranty, 5-year parts warranty requires that the system's first start be done by a licensed electrician or HVAC technician. I hope my experience inspires anyone who's on the fence. It's a fun and worthwhile project if you have the time, handiness, and the ambition. I'll probably add one more unit to a future shed.

i did a bunch of research on a DIY split system. after months of research i settled on this unit. I have had it for about a year and i can tell you this works great and i live in NY. it cools amazing during our hot summers and the hear it puts out in the winter is great i would highly recommend to any DIYer. it was pretty easy to install.

We purchased the 3 system mini split and could not be happier! It’s been almost a year since installation. Our electric bill is always low. Units are extremely quiet. Home stays very warm or very cool as programmed. Just finished building a small 450sqft shop so I’ll be buying another soon!

Purchased unit in advance due to lead time for delivery. Licensed contractor installed 2 months after and I've had this contractor and 2 others to look at the unit because one of the zones continue to accumulate condensation on the interior unit, resulting in water puddling on floor and down the wall of a newly renovated apartment. 2 of the 3 zones underperforming and do not cool the 700 sq. ft. space. Full disclosure, I did not look at the warranty certificate until after it was installed, then realized it was to be submitted 30 days after purchase. Unit was installed approximately 60 days after purchase.

We purchased this for our home in Florida. Prior AC did an adequate job, but monthly cost was becoming excessive. Within one month of installation our energy bill was down almost $80.00 a month. Installation took my husband a few days. Runs quiet, removes humidity from the home. Keeps the entire house at the set temperature, whether warmer during the day or cooler at night to enjoy a blissful night of sleep.

Installed in an 800 sq. ft. 2 bedroom, 1 living room manufactured home. Works excellent in summer temperatures over 110F and heat pump works great during the winter too. Outdoor unit is installed in the shade. I self-installed & wired units but I had to have a licensed contractor come do the plumbing, vacuuming & charging due to EPA & State/County regulations. Be warned, I could only find one contractor willing to do this after I had already mounted/wired the units and the invoice was just over $4,000 for a 2-hour job after being assured it wouldn't cost that much. (HVAC businesses can be very sleazy). In total, it came out to just under $7,000. If it were legal to DIY, it would have been significantly cheaper and I think I'll go that route next time around anyway.

So I'm far so good, installing now, everything came as advertised. Just need to buy some additional tools to install yourself. But so far everything is perfect.

If you know how to run 220v electrical, you can install this ac. This unit is best if the inside units will be within 15 feet of the outdoor compressor. All you need to do is mount the head units inside, you'll need a hole saw for this, run the wiring and refrigerant lines to the compressor, open the ports and check for leaks, run 220 from your panel to the compressor, test and enjoy. I've had mine running for a few weeks now, they work really well, much more efficient than a window unit, very quiet.

Installation simple a faire soi-même si vous êtres équipé d'une pompe a vide. Refroidi très bien les pièces et chauffe très bien aussi !
