Absolutely 100% worth it!! After reading SO many negative reviews, I was honestly contemplating just buying another car seat for my mama who keeps my baby while I'm at work. I went ahead and ordered this just to try it out, and I AM SO GLAD!!! I actually LOVE that it is different from the original base! My mom doesn't always want the wheels on, so I can let her choose whether she wants to include the wheels that day or not! It works out because she doesn't have to pick up the car seat with the wheels if her back is hurting! LOVE the design!!!

Shyft Dualride Base is the complete accessory to the DualRide. The Shyft DualRide Infant Car Seat and Stroller Combo is top of the line, from Evenflo, a brand moms have trusted for decades. It’s unique in as much as when wheels are down it’s a easy ride stroller, and when wheels are up if’s a fully functioning, safety car seat. Evenflo’s engineers and designers worked together to fulfill requests from owners of the DualRide to create a separate base so that moving the carrier from one car to the other would be seamless. And now they have. My daughter loves her DualRide and has used it for both of her little ones, but moving it from one car to the other was the easy part, fastening it in took some time to ensure it was safely secured. I ordered this with her in mind and heard from her that the DualRide base is heaven sent. It’s now as simple as unclipping the carrier from one car and snapping it into the base in the second. She had contemplated buying a second DualRide but couldn’t afford to do so. There is tremendous value to just having the base in one of the cars. At nearly 15 pounds it’s a bit of a tug, but once fastened into the second vehicle the base is intended to remain there. It can be set in with or without the wheels attached. Our Honest Opinion: It earns every one of those 5 Stars

We got this additional base for my husband’s car & it has made our lives so much easier. This base is great because it allows us to use the carseat with the wheels or by itself. Our original base only allows us to use it with the wheels. Such a great update to the new base! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the base was pretty expensive compared to other bases on the market.

Who likes removing car seats bases and installing them in new vehicles? No one, of course. At $189 (as of April 2025), this one isn’t cheap—but it’s solid, safer than the original (no wheels!), and buying peace of mind for my (de facto) niece was worth every penny. PROs: (+) Rock-solid construction and easy, secure install (+) No wheels = less bulk and fewer headaches (+) Lets you swap cars without uninstalling the whole contraption (+) Meets all the safety standards you want when transporting precious cargo CONs: (–) Pricey, but so is everything that says “baby” on the box. Besides—do you really want to pinch pennies when your child’s life is at stake? Verdict: If you’ve already invested in the DualRide, don’t skimp now—this base makes your setup smarter, safer, and way more convenient.

Shyft Dualride Base is exactly what I needed for the second car, so the switch between cars is smooth, and we don’t have to uninstall the base from my car and install it into my husband’s car each time we want to switch vehicles. This is perfect now. The installation was easy, and the base sits pretty securely in its space. I feel confident now that the original and this extra base are installed for good and both feel secure. I highly recommend it to anyone who has Shyft Dualride stroller/car seat and has a second car they go between.

I’ve been waiting for this for a while. I bought the Shyft convertible stroller/car seat months ago for our newborn baby and loved it, but was so confused that the company didn’t offer spare bases for separate cars. Because of this, we actually had to use two separate car seats: one for my wife, and one for me. Having the spare base means we get to finally put away that other car seat and just use the Shyft. Functionally, it looks like it’s the exact same as the one that came with the original car seat. If you’re looking at this listing, odds are you already have the car seat, so none of this will come as a surprise to you. Same bulky dimensions and everything. Only issue is that it’s a little pricey for what it is. I thought the base would be $100 tops, and as of this writing it is $180. It’s almost half the price of the full set (depending on when you buy it, the sales for the Shyft can be pretty substantial). The convenience is well worth it though since I love the Shyft seat so much. Overall, highly recommended, despite the cost.

My wife and I have an Evenflo Shyft Dualride Car Seat and Stroller for our most recent grandchild. When this extra seat base popped up I grabbed it. We actually never even really thought about getting a second base for our second car as I just changed the seat base from one vehicle to the other. I will tell you right now............... BUY as many bases needed for every car. It makes life so much easier than having to fiddle around at the last minute. This is a no-brainer for this exceedingly well made car seat and seat base. HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended.
