For gaming : Installation speed is limited by download speed or transfer speed from the drive your back ups are, and won't add to FPS. Gave it a 5 anyway since it's doing what I need it to do as a game drive - which is have reasonably fast PCIE4.0 and enough capacity (in this case, 2TB) for the least amount of money. In January 2024, this was the best value by my reckoning unless it underperformed in unexpected ways, or outright broke, but I can't test it longer term yet. So far it works as a game drive and photo editing drive. For media editing : Only re-did an HDR photo edit and it's really fast for that. DRAM cache would be a plus though if you're copying stuff into the drive but given the pricing for SSDs I decided to skip that for the ~3/4 game drive and ~1/4 temporary photo editing drive and instead of spending another $50 to $70 just for the DRAM cache I decided to just upgrade my DDR5 system RAM. If you edit media professionally you might want to still get DRAM cache. Ease of Install : This has to do with your laptop/motherboard+case than the NVME drive. It was easy on my 2023 TUF A15 (6800h, 3060), but YMMV on another computer. Value for Money : $95 for 2TB, PCIE4.0x4 was a great bargain in January 2024; but only because it isn't mid-2023 anymore when this and other drives were going for less. Added only as 3/4 game drive, 1/4 media editing drive (didn't actually partition it) but when I upgrade the included boot drive in my laptop when SSD health drops below 90% I'll probably get an NVME with DRAM cache depending on how prices are like by then.

Absolutely love this product! The quality is top-notch, and it feels like it’s built to last. It’s proven extremely reliable so far, running smoothly without any hiccups. It also looks great—sleek and well-designed, definitely a nice addition to my setup. I've experienced a zero crash rate, which is impressive and speaks to the stability of the product. Every function works exactly as expected, and it delivers on all its promises. Best of all, the installation was a breeze—super straightforward with clear instructions. Easily a 5-star purchase!

Great price. About 3.7 TB remaining after windows install, which is about as expected. Speeds as advertised when tested with crystaldiskmark. Have has no problems in its first month of use.

Seems to be a good sad, 2nd one I’ve bought. Learned a lesson with this one though. Bought for laptop… sad had heat sink already installed, and that puppy is thick. Didn’t try to pull it off because the sad was flexing to much, didn’t want to break it. :) not sellers fault. But be aware that if buying for laptop, don’t get it with heat sink installed. :)

This drive was recommended by a friend who researches this stuff far more than I do, and he recommened this model over other similarly priced models, and it doesn't disappoint. I got 7317 seq read and 5993 seq write, and 942 random read, 801 random write. I have had no issues with it, and everything runs well.

Amazing drive. Boot times are as expected from a NVMe, the read and write speeds are as advertised, easy to install for a regular PC builder and shouldn't be too difficult for anyone who can follow instructions. Perfect drive for the price.

Great speed at 4GB/second real world read/write (I'm actually capped at PCIe 3.0x8 due to this motherboard, as opposed to my other M.2 disks. Time for an upgrade.) I'll continue to add on to my collection of Silicon Power M.2 disks. They always impress me.

The Silicon Power 1TB US75 is an exceptional solid-state drive that combines speed, reliability, and affordability in a sleek, high-performance package. Whether you're upgrading your laptop or adding extra storage to your desktop, this drive offers impressive value for money, making it a standout choice in its category. Pros: Blazing Fast Performance: With read speeds up to 560MB/s and write speeds up to 530MB/s, the US75 delivers excellent speed for both booting up your system and transferring large files. The NVMe 3.0 interface ensures that you get quick load times and a seamless computing experience, even with intensive applications or games. 1TB Capacity: 1TB of storage offers plenty of room for your operating system, software, games, and media files. It's an ideal solution for those looking to move away from slower HDDs or small SSDs without breaking the bank. Reliable Build Quality: Silicon Power has a reputation for producing durable and reliable products, and the US75 is no exception. The drive features an advanced wear-leveling algorithm, error correction code (ECC), and thermal throttling to ensure longevity and data integrity. Easy Installation: With the M.2 2280 form factor and support for both PCIe Gen3 x4 and NVMe 1.3, the US75 is compatible with a wide range of systems. Installation is simple, and the drive immediately boosts system performance once plugged in. Great Value: For the price, the US75 delivers premium performance without the premium cost. This makes it an excellent choice for users who want high-speed storage but don’t want to pay top-tier prices for more well-known brands. Cons: No DRAM Cache: While the absence of DRAM means slightly slower performance under heavy, sustained workloads (like large sequential writes), it won't significantly impact everyday use, gaming, or general productivity tasks. For most users, this is a non-issue. Final Thoughts: The Silicon Power 1TB US75 is a fantastic SSD that balances price, performance, and capacity. It’s perfect for upgrading older systems or building a new rig where fast, reliable storage is needed without spending a fortune. Whether you’re into gaming, content creation, or just general computing, this drive provides the speed and storage space you need, all while being highly cost-effective.

Inserted it into the enclosure, connected it to the computer, followed the instructions for a Windows configuration, and it worked perfectly. Write speed was at least 5 times faster than my current non-NVMe external SSD. So far very happy!
