Love it! Makes perfect nugget ice and the best part is I can turn it on remotely so when I get home it’s ready for drinks. Can be a little noisy but these things usually are.

First I only use reverse osmosis water on any ice maker or ice machine. And you should too or your only asking for problems. I've had 3 Opals, they all go out after a time, so I decided to give this a shot. I like the smaller size, the easier fill, the wifi works perfectly, and I schedule this to run only 12 hours a day. No need to run it from 11p to 8a and then when our electric rates are super high from 4p to 7p. Not only is it only scheduled 12 hours day, it probably only runs for 3 or 4 hours a day, a huge energy savings and extends the life of the product. The ice bin could be a little better insulated and a little bigger, but that's my only gripes. It makes ice fast and on par with the opal. Remember if you don't have reverse osmosis you're just asking for trouble with any ice maker. Plus you want clear ice. Noise levels are totally fine too....

We previously had a "clear ice cube" maker, but I broke it while doing my first cleaning as the instructions were unclear about how to safely dissemble it. The manufacturer would not warranty it because I bought it new on Woot! so be warned. So, after 6 months with a clear ice maker and now I've had this nugget ice maker for about 2 weeks and have some thoughts to share: 1- I was dubious about the nugget ice but it's pretty good. The clear ice came out in a big sheet that needed a metal scoop (not included) to break up, however the nuggets are easy to scoop. Because the nuggets are smaller they will melt faster because science. What ya gonna do? 2- I wish this unit was about 10dB quieter, but the app controlled version allows you to easily turn it on/off remotely if the noise is harshing your mellow. I highly recommend paying the extra few bucks for app version! 3- The unit uses the Tuya platform, which is pretty common, so lots of other IoT devices work on the same app. It's fun to control your holiday lights and ice maker from your phone! 4- The app also allows you to create schedules, so unless you are running a small restaurant out of your house, and even if you are, you probably don't need ice 24/7/365. It cranks out the ice pretty quick, so I have mine turn on at 7am and by 7:30am there's plenty of ice for my wife and I to make our morning powdered drinks. I haven't run the numbers on energy savings, but it seems silly to run the unit all night and waste electricity. 5- the design is handy because you can see the water and ice levels easily. With the "clear" unit, it would run out of water all the time because you have to open the top door to see the water level in a white tank with no light. 6- speaking of light, this unit uses an RGB LED to make the blu-ish white you see. It would be a cool feature if the LED color could be changed through the app because "party ice!". 7- the kids like the nugget ice because it's like the fast food restaurants yada, yada. I have silicone molds for when I need whiskey ice and I'm pretty sure the nuggets will be fine for making margaritas and I will test that theory soon! Hope this helps!

Love this ice maker. It's functional

I actually love the design of this ice machine. The separated water chamber and ice chamber are great and I feel like this will stay much cleaner and be easier to clean than the all in 1 ice machines I've had in the past. The nugget ice is great. Super crunchy and soft like nugget ice should be. Unfortunately the ice machine isn't working great. It worked well for a couple of days, and then stopped producing ice continuously. It will only create a very small amount of ice and then stop. I've reached out to the customer support for help.

Update: NOT HAPPY😡. 12/23/2024 Machine making loud noise and making NO ICE. I’m sick of these ice machines not working. This time I have warranty. Will place a claim. 11/10/24. Two months in and ice STILL ACCESSIBLE! 10/1/24. So far so good. 1 month in and making perfect pebble ice. Never have to wait. Always available for family of 4 who uses ice. I’m pleased. Been thru 3 with last 2 not working with 1st year. 1st ice machine bought in 2020 lasted 4yrs working constantly. NOT LOUD. Love the backlight and convenience of pull out tank. Sept 2024 purchased ice machine

Love this machine. Easy to put water in. It is rather loud though.

I gave 3 stars. Paid extra for the smart machine. Does not work on 5g. Why spend extra money for the smart device if it the app doesn't work. Ice was made quickly and noise does not bother me.

Ich habe mir die "Silonn Eiswürfelmaschine" gekauft und bin für den Preis echt zufrieden! Die Maschine ist kompakt und passt perfekt auf meine Küchentheke. Sie produziert in kürzester Zeit eine große Menge an Eiswürfeln. Die Bedienung ist kinderleicht – einfach Wasser einfüllen, den gewünschten Eiswürfeltyp auswählen und schon geht’s los! Die Maschine arbeitet leise und effizient. Außerdem ist die Qualität der Eiswürfel hervorragend, sie sind klar und schmelzen nicht zu schnell. Insgesamt kann ich die Eiswürfelmaschine nur empfehlen. Sie ist eine praktische Ergänzung für unsere Küche!

Click to play video Bought this summer to use at the cafe and the performance was higher than expected, it takes about 5-6 minutes to make one party of ices and even for the hot summer it was enough time for us to use it for all the cold drinks. Capacity is enough for business let alone for household consumption. Didn’t feel like the machine takes too long. Size is just right, no problem so far. (Touch wood 🙌🪵)

Ich habe mir diese Eiswürfelmaschine vor kurzem zugelegt, und ich bin wirklich begeistert! Sie ist super einfach zu bedienen und liefert in kürzester Zeit (ca. 6-10 Minuten) frische Eiswürfel – ideal, wenn man Gäste hat oder einfach nur eine schnelle Erfrischung möchte. Die Maschine ist kompakt und nimmt nicht viel Platz weg, was sie perfekt für die Küche oder den Balkon macht. Das Bedienfeld ist intuitiv, und man kann zwischen verschiedenen Eisgrößen wählen, was praktisch ist, je nachdem, ob man für ein Getränk oder einen Cocktail mehr oder weniger Eis benötigt. Ein weiteres Plus ist, dass die Maschine relativ leise ist. Ich habe sie in meiner offenen Küche stehen und sie stört überhaupt nicht, was bei einigen anderen Geräten ein Problem sein kann. Alles in allem eine klare Kaufempfehlung für alle, die regelmäßig Eis benötigen – die Maschine macht genau, was sie verspricht, und das zu einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

+ Das Design ist sehr schön und die Leistung ist sehr gut. Es wird wirklich schnell eine große Menge Eiswürfel produziert. + Wenn der Eiswürfelbehälter voll ist, stoppt die Maschine. So kann man vor einem Sommerabend einfach anschalten und das Gerät macht den Behälter in ca. 1 Stunde voll. Dann einfach anlassen und das Teil produziert nach, sobald Eiswürfel entnommen wurden. - Das Gerät ist relativ laut, das haben Eiswürfelmaschinen aber so an sich...irgendwo muss halt ein Kompressor arbeiten. Ich musste das Gerät auf den Balkon verbannen. Im Innenraum war es zu störend. - Das Gerät braucht in seiner Umgebung relativ viel Platz. Ich wollte die Maschine eigentlich in einem Schrank betreiben. Wenn die Luftzufuhr (links, hinten, rechts) blockiert ist, kann die Maschine nicht arbeiten. Hier muss man sich bei der Aufstellung im klaren sein. Trick: Die ersten 1-2 Chargen Eiswürfel einfach wieder in den Wasserbehälter kippen, dann werden die folgenden Chargen besser! UPDATE: Nach längerer Nutzung muss ich ein kurzes Update geben. Jetzt ist es einmal passiert, dass mehrere Eiswürfel zusammengeklebt sind. Das hat den Betrieb der Maschine auf weiteres verhindert. Ich musste hier von Hand die Eiswürfel herunterkratzen, bis sie wieder arbeiten konnte. Das ist bis jetzt nur einmal passiert. Wenn das häufiger auftritt, ist das natürlich ein großer Minuspunkt.
