These are very good filters but puts strain on furnace. Must work harder to pull air thru filter, very little air coming up thru vents.

seemed great at first, after 90 days the filter had bent allowing air to bypass filter, the more expensive filtites has never done that, still great value, installed a new value 20x20 in my Trane 3.5ton unit, gonna keep an eye on it to see when the filter warps, maybe it won't

The "pores" of the filter material that the air passes through are too small. Whenever the house fan is on, the filter makes a high-pitched whistling/howling noise that is loud enough to be annoying. The filter blocks more than 50% of the air flow (there's a lot less air coming out of any of the vents in the house). As further proof that this filter just doesn't allow enough air to pass through, when I went to remove the filter it was completely bowed-in towards the air intake of the house fan, because the air couldn't get through it so it just pushed it in. I had 2 other brands of air filters on hand with the same or higher MERV ratings (a discontinued Home Depot filter and a BNX TruFilter from Amazon), and neither of them made noise, bowed-in, or blocked the air flow. DO NOT USE these Simply filters - they will burn-out the motor on your house fan as it struggles to suck the air through these bad filters!

Very economical. took off one star cause they are a little flimsy and would be nice if they were a little sturdier.. they filter very well.
