· DON'T TRY THIS WITH WiFi! Our unique LoRa-based sensors are different from WiFi, Zigbee, Z-Wave and most other wireless smart sensors in that they are extreme long-range (up to 1/4 mile open-air), low-power (years between battery changes), and work outdoors*, on other floors, and even in a metal box (like a fridge or mailbox)! · MONITOR & MANAGE your temperature and humidity concerns, whether it's a fridge, a barn or bedroom, a chicken coop or a dog kennel, a plant nursery or your child's nursery - anywhere! *Consider one of our weatherproof sensors, designed for outdoor use · ECONOMICAL SMART FRIDGE! Save thousands when you make ANY fridge smart (or smarter) with YoLink smart sensors. Start with temperature sensors, then add door/lid sensors, leak sensors and a Power Fail Alarm. · IFTTT & Alexa Integration: trigger IFTTT applets based on high or low temperature set points reached (when device alerts). Voice query Alexa for the temperature (only; humidity not supported at this time). Triggering Alexa routines is not supported at this time. · PLUG, PLUG & PLAY! Take advantage of direct ethernet connection and be online almost instantly when you plug your Hub into your router or network switch. Or, use hot spot mode to connect to your WiFi network in moments. Add devices in seconds using our Scan & Play QR code scanner in the app! Set your notification preferences, test your new sensors, then enjoy years of trouble-free operation! · KNOW NOW! You have many options for being notified of device activity! Receive a text, receive an email, receive a phone push notification (including Apple phone "Critical Alert" severe weather/Amber alert type notifications that will activate your phone even if in silent mode. Android phones offer similar functionality, depending on phone manufacturer). SMS messages are limited to the total of 5 times each device plus 5. A hub and two sensors provides you with 20 free SMS per month.

Setup: Setup could not be easier. 1. Install app, 2. setup hub 3. add sensor(s). 4. Update Firmware. To make the hub setup quick and easy it's best to connect the hub to your router with an ethernet cable. The instructions have you scan a barcode on the hub using the app to register it, then power it up. It came online within a few seconds. WiFi can then be setup while it is connected via ethernet cable. If you wish to use WiFi power off and relocate the hub. It takes about 30 seconds to join WiFi after being powered up. Adding the sensor(s) is similar. Scan the barcode on the device with the app, then turn it on using a switch on the back of the unit. It will connect to the hub quickly. It is best to configure all the alerts and other settings while you have the sensor on a desk, then when the configuration is complete place the sensor where it is needed. Both the hub and sensor had the latest firmware as delivered which is awesome. Use: The LCD's still work even at freezer temperatures of -5f. The batteries in the LCD sensors will not last very long in a freezer. maybe 9 months, I have ordered some sensors that do not have an LCD and come with Lithium batteries good for 5 years. I'm really impressed how well the sensors work inside a freezer clear the other side of the house from the hub. It lives up to the hype. Sensors contact the hub about once per minute. App: The app is very good, there are some really detailed statistics you can view and there is an option to download data. I have included a screen shot of one of the charts showing a 24 hour view, Alerts: After setting thresholds, alerts can be sent via the app on your phone, an email, or SMS. SMS is limited to 15 SMS's per month but email works just fine and has no limit. Yolink Eco system: The number and variety of devices you can add to the hub is impressive. Given how easily the system and app works I'll be adding devices in the future. Highly recommended.

This thing ROCKS. It’s unusual for a product like this to have an excellent app, and I was so impressed by the functional and intuitive interface. The app lets you set an acceptable temperature range, and if the temperature goes out of that range, it sends an alert/text/email. And at any time, I can see the real-time temp (and humidity) from my phone. I honestly didn’t expect this much value when I purchased it, and would have happily paid twice as much for it if I had known just how good it was going to be.

I was looking for something to monitor the temps of the refrigerator and freezers following a 12 hour power outage. Obviously I needed something which didn't require opening the fridge door. (My modem and router are on UPS's.) Also, another friend was gone for 4 days and his main refrigerator stopped working. The ice melted, the freezer contents melted and he had to move out of his house for the repairs. I found these YoLink products and thought I'd give them a try because their claim is a longer range (even through things like metal refers and freezers), WAY more range than typical devices, and minimal battery usage. They're are RIGHT! These things work through my metal refrigerators and through the metal on the chest freezer. I now have accurate reporting AND the ability to set parameters for alerts. In digging more into YoLink, I found they are a US based company. They also have home automation devices that also share long range connections. I have many home automation devices on my SmartThings hub (Zigbee and Z Wave). I bought a few YoLink outlets to see how they performed. I had connectivity to the YoLink outlets over 800' away in our barn!! They didn't quite reach the street 1400' away though. I'd love to have full automation all the way to the street for holiday decorations and more. I found YoLink can have more than one hub on the same network so I bought a hub for my barn. Bam! Works!! (The barn has a long range WiFi antenna which picks up the house's WiFi.) This is a brief recap. Hope it helps. Their devices are less expensive versus Zigbee or Z Wave devices. Although I have not dug into elaborate programming yet (like doing things when you arrive home or leave or temp/weather related automations), it appears this cold be a viable, better and cheaper replacement for ZigBee and Z Wave automation devices. Hope this helps everyone!

This system really works! I had some temperature sensors in my freezers that were linked to a display but they didn't work very well and weren't wireless. Also the display was upstairs and the freezers downstairs. Other wireless freezer monitors have a wire that connects the sensor to the battery transmitter that has to be placed outside of the freezer. As a result the wire has to go thru the freezer seal. Did like that since I don't want anything affecting the seal. The YoLink system sensors have a digital readout and are placed in the freezer. No interruption of the seal. They also have a display in each of the sensor so I know how cold the unit is. Got two YoLink sensors and a hub. Plugged the hub into my hardwired ethernet router node added it followed by the two sensors. Easy!!!! YoLink is capable of easily transmitting through the freezers and I can monitor it on the iphone app and have warnings set to advise me wherever I am by message and email if any problems devlop. This system works great and I intend on getting the leak detectors next.

This is an awesome product. We live in Ontario, where the winters are very unpredictable. We have been looking for a unit like this for our chicken coop for a long time. Now when I am gone for the day I can still keep an eye on the temperature. My girls will always be warm now. Easy set up, and stays connected unlike other ones we've tried

The hub is an absolute pig to set up but once you have done then it’s a great piece of kit for ensuring that I’m notified if the freezer out in the garage fails. I’m using the other sensor to keep an eye on the temperature in the freezer in the house. * important to note that it will initially tell you that no internet has been found - just ignore it and carry on with the set up*

Bought this to use in my freezer as an early warning system for loss of power or a freezer failure. It was simple to install and integrate with the free app. You can setup alerts to send email or SMS messages if the temperature goes above or below the thresholds you set. It also records the data so you can see over time how the temperature fluctuates which was interesting to see how much the temperature changes just by opening the freezer door for just a few seconds.

I was very pleased with this purchase. We live in a cold climate and travel a lot. A big fear is to be away and the furnace packs it in. We received these yesterday and I set them up. Really easy installation with no issues. Install a phone app, scan the hub and the sensors and you are ready to go. I looked at various alternatives before purchasing these but the advantage with this one is the options where you can connect the hub directly into your network using a network cable and it can be plugged into a power outlet. With wifi there is always a chance that it drops and I do not need to work about hub batteries failing. To test the unit we moved one of the sensors into our unheated garage and within minutes we received an alert to our phone and via email about the low temperature. Now we do not need to have someone go into our house regularly while we are away.

I have provisioned lot of wifi devices over the years and this has been the most easy setup I have ever done. I am very impressed by how easy this was. The range of the temperature sensors through the walls of the freezers and the walls of my home is also impressive. I really like the app and the functionality for notifications and graphing. The integration with Alexa and IFTTT is good. I used Ethernet for the hub but I also setup the hub on my wifi network as well. This also was dead easy and like the sensors connected on the first try. I would buy again and maybe I will invest in more of the YoLink ecosystem due to the wide variety of devices and the easy of hooking them up. I already use a much more powerful home automation system but it does not have the temperature sensing capabilities of YoLink. I am pleasantly surprised as I expected the usual grief of provisioning devices.
