My ferrets like to get into my couch, which isn’t a problem since they just slide out of the bottom. Unfortunately, a couple of them dig in the corner before descending below the cushions and have started to tear the fabric on the cushions. If you know ferrets, you’ll be aware that telling them ‘no’ is considered a challenge to these slinky troublemakers. The Smiry waterproof dog blanket is the perfect way to provide stylish protection for my furniture against marauding weasels. The material is touch enough to stand up to the ferrets, and the listing indicates it is resistant to scratching. The blanket comes in several colors to match many different styles of furniture. Each one is reversible which adds more color choices. I chose gray which really does look good on my couch. This is a cover, not a pad, and so the material is thin, but the stitching is excellent and it feels like a quality product. The waterproof feature is an added bonus in case one of my elderly ferrets were to have an accident. Removal of pet hair is easy, I ran my vacuum attachment for fabric across the surface and it came right up. The cover is versatile and would work well in many scenarios including in the car, on the bed, over a dog bed, or even as a waterproof floor protector during maintenance projects. I placed it in front of my bathroom vanity when having a faucet replaced to avoid a cleanup afterwards. At less than $20, the price is right and the cover itself is low maintenance – just wash in cold and tumble dry with low heat.

Click to play video My two dogs aren’t allowed to climb to the furniture inside the house. They know that, and they don’t do it. However I see photos of dogs using their owners sofas, and I felt somewhat sorry. So, I have a daybed that nobody uses and I installed it in the covered patio. Due to it’s outdoor, I put a matress protector and sheets, and then I covered all with the blanket. Ready to be used! At first the dogs smelled it and walked around, but not one climb to it. I remembered that they had the command for “do not climb” or “down”, and at that moment I knew that they will not climb to the daybed. So, I changed tactic. I sat in the daybed and call them “up”, and the first one to climb was the Labrador, then, the Jack Russell. I told them “this is for you, you can used it”. Now, they seem happy with a sofa of their own as can be seen in the photos. They don’t use it all the time, but they share it, and my grandkids. I’m happy for them. Regarding the blanket, it’s exactly as described. I can use any side, passed my water test, it endure the scratching, especially from the small one. The blanket is not bulky, is somewhat lightweight and I can carried it. Fabric is thin, but feels strong and soft to touch. Seams seem well stitched. When compared with similar ones, I found it affordable. Easy to clean, and before using, I did clean the blanket with “refresh” and tumble dry low. I had to secure it over the corners of the daybed , because the first time they just roll over it and the blanket out of place. Now they are more tranquil and they know that it’s not for play, but for rest during the day. So far, I’m very satisfied with this blanket and I recommended it.

I ordered this blanket for several reasons, animals & kids! I wanted a cover that would work on either a couch or loveseat and this one does just that. It works really great on a loveseat as there is less furniture to cover vs a couch (I ordered the 52” x 82”). I do like the coverage that it provides, the only issue is keeping the blanket on the furniture as there are no straps to secure it. Because the loveseat is smaller I can tuck it in and that does help. I absolutely love the dark color, great for hiding dirt, etc. The blanket is stitched well and the material is fantastic. I do like the weight of the blanket, it is perfect as a cover. It isn’t heavy at all which I love, I didn’t want a cover that was super thick or heavy. When fabric is too heavy, it becomes burdensome to deal with especially in the washer & dryer. The product description indicates that it is waterproof which is a good thing. I most likely will not encounter this issue as both animals & kids are all potty trained. I tested water on the blanket and it was funny to watch it roll right off, it did not soak into the fabric at all. It really is a nice blanket and the cost is on par with similar products. Highly recommended!

I recently purchased new living room furniture in a nice chocolate brown color. I have a dog and 2 cats, so I wanted to find something to protect the fabric from little mishaps that pets have sometimes. I’m so glad I chose this! This is a waterproof cover, but you cannot tell. Meaning, it’s very soft, there aren’t and crunchy crinkly noises when you sit on it, and it doesn’t “look” like a couch cover, it just looks like a quilt. It’s 2 toned, and it’s reversible, so you’re able to use either side. I chose the brown, so I have 1 side that is a dark chocolate color, and the other side is more of a milk chocolate color. It’s machine washable and dry-able, so care is super simple. I could see this also being used on a guest bed so that the bedding stays clean and fresh for any visitors. I definitely recommend this, and the value is much more affordable than having to steam clean your furniture!

The blanket is well made and comfortably soft. This size, 52x82, is about right for a love seat. Keeping the blanket in place is a little more of a challenge with the dog, medium size, up and down. Definitely protects and the description states waterproof. A way to secure would be helpful for our furniture.

Works perfectly for our hairy Aussie pup! I'm able to tuck the blanket into the cushions to keep it from sliding around. I run a vacuum over it occasionally if it gets suoer hairy, but it has stayrd pretty clean so far. It doesn't snag or pill at all, and doesn't get that musty dog smell like a "regular" blanket does.
