· Solar Powered Automatic Cleaning: Harnessing 100% solar energy.During sunny days with abundant sunlight, the uninterrupted cleaning function ensures a spotless water surface. Once the battery is depleted, the robot automatically recharges during daylight hours. After charging, a simple manual activation suffices, whether rainy or overcast. This effectively prevents debris from settling at the bottom of the pool, liberating you from manual pool cleaning efforts. · One-click start: Very easy to use, put it in the pool, turn on the switch and it will clean automatically. The design eliminates the need for hoses or other accessories when using the pool robot. The single solar charging design prevents the power supply from entering the water, thereby maximizing the life of the machine. · Automatic Obstacle Avoidance: If it senses an obstacle ahead, it will automatically turn around and adjust its route to avoid collision. Owning it lets you say goodbye to manual cleaning and enjoy the beauty of technology! · Oversized 10L Debris Basket:Oversized debris basket can easily collect pet hair, leaves, and all kinds of floating debris to keep the pool surface as clean as new. The top design is easy to open and all debris is captured in a large fine mesh debris basket with a convenient handle for effortless emptying. · Manual & Automatic modes: Each machine is equipped with a remote control unit. In addition to autonomous cleaning, if you need to perform precise cleaning tasks, you can turn to manual mode to ensure a thorough cleaning without leaving any residue.

This works very well. It is larger than I expected, so it covers more area. It gets up lots of small stuff like pollen that goes through the manual pole net. Easy to clean. It is very helpful. I used to have to spend 10 minutes or more scooping stuff off the surface before I swam to enjoy doing laps. Now the pool is clean whenever I want to get in. The unit does move rather slowly, but that it to be expected from an entirely solar-powered (and therefore limited power) device. The solar power feature is very nice. I have a pool bottom cleaner, but I have to take it out of the pool and charge it up every few hours, which limites how clean it can get the bottom.

This picked up 3 June bugs (out of about 100) and only a few of the leaves.

Had to return mine to Amazon. Packaging was pristine, very secure. It has multiple modes: 1) Full auto 2) Standby (when the battery gets low), and 3) Remote Control. I had to return because even though it had 3 days of full Florida sun, it never would go into Full Auto mode. Additionally, the website is in Chinese, and I can't figure out how to contact them, so I worried that even though there is a full year warranty, I wouldn't be able to reach them. Maybe the one I got just had a bad sensor or battery or something. On the positive side, the remote has a pull-up antenna, which allowed me to control the device from inside the house (and I was stuck inside due to a broken leg). The remote has a nice range. If the full auto worked, I would have kept it.

When I first got this, I thought it was clunky and slow. However, after trying it out for a few weeks, it actually works wonders! Having the remote helps get it out of the pool when I’m ready to remove it because I can control it and bring it to the edge. It charges great and hold a charge for a long time with the sunshine. The basket is large and holds a lot is easy to remove an empty because it is top loading. I’ve gotten used to the sound that it makes cause it makes a gurgling noise. The mesh of the basket is small enough to catch dog hair, pollen and other small debris that floats on top of my pool. I am happy with this purchase.

We recently started renting a home with a pool. It's not a really big pool but it's decent enough. I was having to skim the top of the pool almost daily to keep small debris out and keep it looking clean. I've had this skimmer now for 2 days and the pool is the cleanest it's ever been. The skimmer is super simple to set up, by which I mean you just let it charge in the sun for a couple of hours before first use. At the end of the day I empty the little basket out and it keeps chugging along. This skimmer is a life saver.

This is awesome. This is the 3rd pool robot skimmer I have ordered, I had to return the other 2 for different reasons. It has been running for a week and so far so good. When it gets stuck or confused, it figures it out after a few minutes and goes another direction. The first few days if I noticed it stuck I would help it and was considering sending it back but then I realized it just needed a little patience and time to figure out the direction it needed to go. It keeps the pool beautiful! It is not too heavy putting in and out of the pool. It is very easy to use. The pool is so much cleaner now. So far it works well and appears to be durable.

This item was substandard from the outset. Never went in a straight line for more than 3-4 ft. then stopped and tried to reverse it's path. Spent most of its time going in circles. I only emptied the basket once in the several weeks it was in operation and I have a problem with leaf litter in the pool. It may work better in rectangular or square pools but is incapable of operating correctly in freeform pool. It finally quit working altogether. Getting a refund was nearly impossible. Amazon kept referring me to the seller who never responded to my requests. Eventually after numerous complaints Amazon did refund the purchase price. When you compare the price with that of similar items it may be an indication of the quality.

If you’re debating between this and the Beta, get the Beta. I had a Beta before this unit that lasted a little less than 2 years, which seemed short to me, so I decided to give the Vidapool a shot. It costed less, had a remote control, and supposedly did some fancy wall/object avoidance stuff which all sounded good to me. It didn’t take long to discover the downsides though. First, it’s much louder than the Beta. I’m not particularly sensitive to that, but my wife is and if you are that’s something to keep in mind. Next, when it automatically shuts off, you can’t turn it back on with the remote. So that means the remote is only good for controlling the Vidapool when it happens to be on. Lastly, the basket net material is very flimsy. It’s actually completely deteriorated in less than a year, essentially making the entire thing useless. Back to Beta.
