First the cons: I almost considered 4 stars because I don't love the tone... but the tone sucks in all digital metronomes so I can't hold back a star for that. This device has an oddity that many cheap devices have... not every USB cable will charge it. The high quality cable I use to charge my phone doesn't charge it. But a low-quality 6 inch cable that came for free with some device does fine with it. Pros: The battery life is insanely good. I've owned this for maybe 2 years?? and charged it maybe 5 times? Or less? I dig the kickstand. I always have it on my desk right in front of me. From there, it is just easy to use, does the job, easily choose beats per measure or no accent, various rhythms. Tap tempo. It is kid proof. My 3 year old loves to play with it and mess with the settings... if he didn't break it yet that is a good sign.

I rarely write reviews, but this may help someone. I have been using this metronome for 4 months now, and it is my best purchase on Amazon. I waited for my metronome to run out of battery to see how it charges because I read in a review that people complained that it does not charge. And yes, if you charge it with an Apple charger, it does not charge. It only accepts a cheap charger. I have already charged it twice. I use it almost every day for 1 hour. The charge lasts a long time. I especially like that it counts with its voice: one, two, three ... ) Thanks to whoever created such a useful gadget. I recommend all musicians to have this metronome!

I purchased this to replace the iPhone app that I had been using for a metronome. That app wouldn't automatically power down and was draining down the battery. This metronome has the same basic features that the app had, including the various rhythms (triplets, eighth-sixteenth note combinations, etc.). The controls are intuitive. I use it with the sound turned down, and the control of sound volume is not very good at lower levels. There is no sound at all when I start turning the volume control wheel at its lowest level. After about a quarter turn of the wheel I get the first sound, and then there is no change for about 1/8 of a turn after which the volume jumps to a higher level. I don't think that I would notice this so much at the highest volumes. I tried to deploy the stand, but it is so tight that my fingernails were bending when I tried to pop it out. Eventually I used the screwdriver blade on my Swiss Army knife. I just lean the metronome on the music stand, which works for me.

Easy to use, compact. The volume control for the sound is a nice feature. Great value for a great little digital metronome.

Rechargeable-No batteries required. Easy to use. A "Must-have" for practicing and training your brain to keep time, as you develop all the muscle-memory involved with creating music that will bless others. The battery seems to last a long time as well. Works well for me. I hope it works well for you too.

This has to be the best of all the inexpensive metronomes I've purchased, both standalone products and downloadable apps. The range of beats and rhythms is sufficiently large and very usable for all my guitar practicing needs. My favorite feature is having a voice to call out the beats in a measure, and my least favorite feature is having to cycle through all the beat and rhythm options to get to the preferred selection. The device seems well made and durable, nothing too fancy, just a few buttons and a volume wheel. Like all physical metronomes of this sort, dialing in a setting is a bit fiddly, especially since all the buttons look alike without the benefit of reading glasses. Well worth the 20 bucks it cost to purchase.

Love everything about this. The price, the features. Rechargeable, headphone out. Easy to dial in tempos. I love the tap feature to get you close. Using this for high school band conducting as well as playing and learning new music as in local Broadway shows. I highly recommend this unit. I lent it to a conductor friend and she ended up getting one as well.

I really like everything about this metronome -- it seems well designed and solid, and I've used it a lot in past 5 months. Unfortunately I was unable to recharge the battery. (I've seen one other review mentioning the same problem.) I tried different chargers and cords without any success. It took awhile to even recognize the problem because -- another positive -- the battery lasts a long time on a single charge. Customer service at Sondery was fantastic! They answered my email the next day with a sincere apology, and issued a refund. I'm so impressed with their response, I'll probably take a chance on re-ordering.

Works as advertised. Only slight wish was it had more angles to rest at.
