When it is brand new, it lacks as much bass as it will have after it breaks in. I am a sound engineer and I LOVE the sound from this speaker. I have big Focal towers, a high end amp to drive just them and a pair of 15" subs all together costing twice what my first car did, and I usually just have this Sonos on. The app works great for me.

I upgraded our Sonos Arc system, (which had consisted of Arc, Sub, and a pair of Sonos Ones), to Arc, Sub and a pair of Era 300s. Once I got everything set up perfectly the sound is nothing short of otherworldly! Even on a low volume setting the sound just seems to come out of the atmosphere. That said, the set up was not as straightforward as one might expect. The directions are not easy to find for every situation. First you need to decide whether you want to set it up ultimately as a surround system, or put the emphasis on stereo music. Though you can switch back and forth, it’s somewhat complicated to do so. I tried it out both ways and settled for the surround mode and the music is still spectacular. I did ultimately call the Sonos help line to help me set things up so that my existing remote controls worked with the system rather than just the Sonos app. I got through to a rep in less than 5 minutes and he patiently walked me through the needed changes. One last complication I ran into after the helpline call: I performed the Sonos Trueplay procedure repeatedly and it kept saying something went wrong and to try again.Get this: I wear hearing aids and they were interfering with the Bluetooth setup. I turned off both my hearing aids and the Bluetooth on my iPad and Trueplay immediately did its thing. Then I turned my hearing aids and iPad back on, and everything worked as it should. From classical, to rock,to jazz, to Bluegrass the music is sensational! So, now the music is sensational, the TV surround is fantastic, and speech is more clear than it has ever been. We invested a fair amount of dough, but this now truly is a case of quality isn’t expensive, it’s priceless, as even my wife, who thought I was nuts to spend this much ,is absolutely thrilled with the end result. If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy, and Mama’s happy.

Love Sonos, it’s a great product, works great on its own but shines when paired with a subwoofer. Dolby atmos audio is especially great, so make sure to use the Sonos app to get the most out of it.

I have in ceiling speakers which I never liked—it always sounded like it was under water. Instead of buying 3 pairs of new ceiling speakers (which could f*** up your ceiling and aren’t as good as bookcase speakers) I decided to go with the Sonos Era 300. Two speakers have replaced 3 pairs. I also checked out the Apple HomePod and Mini but the Sonos speakers had great sound quality reviews and lots of flexibility. BTW, I thought the Apple HomePod Mini sounded fuzzy, like it was under water. I can use Apple Airplay to easily play anything that’s on my iPhone or iPad, or use the Sonos app to play radio or steaming platforms like Amazon Music and Sirius. I’m also really enjoying the “Hey Sonos” verbal commands, though Siri is quite confused and thinks I’m speaking to her. I listen to music a lot more now because it is so easy and sounds great. I highly recommend Sonos.

I have a love-hate relationship with this speaker. When it works, it sounds amazing. But when it doesn’t, it’s incredibly frustrating—I feel like throwing it out the window. Most of the issues seem to stem from the Sonos app. I have the speaker connected to my Sonos Arc soundbar, but it frequently stutters. From what I’ve read on several forums, this might be because I’m only using one speaker. I’ve had it for about three months now and bought it from Best Buy. I decided to order a second one from Amazon, but when it arrived, it was the wrong product—an outdated, used model they don’t even manufacture anymore. I returned it immediately, but two weeks later, I still haven’t received a refund. According to Amazon, it may take at least another two weeks before it's processed. At this point, I’m probably just going to buy another one from Best Buy and avoid the hassle altogether. It’s especially frustrating because I’ve always been a big fan of Amazon—my family and I purchase a lot from them. This experience has definitely shaken that trust.

Bought a pair of these to add surround to our Beam soundbar. Went all Sonos in last six months. Excellent sound. Great add-on to Beam or Arc soundbars. All controlled easily through the Sonos app (issues have been resolved). Can also be stand alone devices if you prefer.

It has a built-in voice command that lets you turn it off or on or adjust the volume. It can also respond to some commands for what to play, but it can't change Sirius XM stations - yet. I also wish it came with a simple remote control.

I added these speakers to my sound bar and sub as the rear speakers surround sound and let me tell you wow, just wow! It made an already amazing sound system 100% better! I did run into a problem where the sound was cutting in and out, but found a solution, due to my sound bar and sub being hardwired via the ethernet port I needed to enable Wi-Fi in the sub and sound bar settings, and it fixed the issue! These are a 1000% amazing upgrade, and if you're on the fence about adding these to your set-up, do yourself a favor and pull the trigger!

I received the item in tip-top conditions just as described by the seller. The Era 300 are a must-have if you want a premium surround experience. You never go wrong with Sonos .

Sounds great, what can I say. If you buy it alone, it would be great on its own but I have it paired with an Ultra 2 and a sub gen 4. I was thinking of getting a pair of 300s to complete the setup but 1 is honestly fine. Sounds great, would recommend!
