With today's technology, I'm always very worried to order anything "smart". I am not very good at figuring out technology. As a matter of fact, it scares me lol. I just wanted a TV that has an excellent picture and excellent sound quality. I just use my TV to watch movies, stream shows and watch regular TV. I don't use it for video games or to broadcast from my computer to the TV screen. That said, I also needed a big enough TV screen to fit the large wall in our great room. I heard very good things about the Sony brand, so I took a chance and ordered this one. Several people commented that they wish it wasn't tied to Google, but honestly, I think Google makes technology pretty easy for us non-techies. Even though it's large, I don't think it weighs a ton. My son and I (I'm only 5'1" and weigh 135 lbs. and have no muscle) were able to easily lift it onto the TV mount we bought without really straining. Once on the wall, it was easy to turn it on and get it all set up for use. I was able to find all the streaming services I use as well as the live, local channels. I LOVE the "continue watching" area that shows up. It brings up what I was watching on my streaming services, so I don't have to find the streaming service, click on it and then go into the service to find my show. The picture quality is excellent and so is the sound. I have another name brand TV at our summer home and the sound is awful. I have to have it turned up so loud, just to hear it in a normal tone. I'm not one to be picky about bass, treble, balance, etc., but this Sony TV's sound must have that all figured out as it sounds really good. I've had it for about a month and a half now and I've only had one small issue with it. Not sure why, but the screen completely froze on me, and I couldn't use the remote for any function. I couldn't even turn the TV off with the remote. I unplugged the TV from the outlet, left it for a couple minutes, plugged it back in and it fixed the issue. I haven't had the problem since, so I'm just chalking it up to sometimes things like that happen with technology. If you're looking for a techie's opinion of this TV, you're not going to get it here. If you're like me, and are just interested in picture quality, sound and ease of use, I highly recommend this TV!

What can I say? It’s a SONY, right? Each new generation of SONYS that we acquire in life’s journeys is a progressive step forward, from the advent of the Trinitron tube to the flat screen wonder of the WEGA, we’ve always appreciated the dramatic steps forward. This flat screen is so dramatically advanced, it’s scary. Now if there were only something decent to view on. The setup was streamlined, especially since we use YOUTUBE TV, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are flawless-no wires except for power. The internal sound is outstanding, but we use Klipsch Nines for our sound system and it’s more than gratifying. The family agrees that the most dramatic viewing of this is with the Radio Paradise app, which runs HD photos relevant to the songs playing. In this context, it is jaw-dropping, and integrated with the Klipsch sound system, offers endless hours of breathtaking music and visuals. The downside to high-definition TV, of course, is clearly seeing all detail, warts and all, you may view your favorite stars quite differently. For them, I’m sure this technology is indeed humbling. At 65 inches, we now eschew the smaller theater venues for better resolution and sound at home. I’m sure that should Hollywood and the rest of the universe actually produce something monumental, played on a HUGE scale or large venue, we’ll still probably go, but it’s a HUGE asset to relax at home. We did hit a few big box stores to look at competitive brands, but SAMSUNG is the only brand who comes close to SONY’s grip on visual quality-they get it. As a HUGE fan of cinema since childhood, it amazes me that just about anyone can afford a very satisfying home theater experience.

I recently purchased two Sony 65" TVs and was so impressed by their value for the price that I decided to upgrade one to a 75" model. The decision to upgrade was easy, given the exceptional price-to-value ratio these TVs offer. From the moment I turned them on, the quality of both the image and sound was evident. The picture quality is crisp and vibrant, making for an immersive viewing experience whether I'm watching movies, sports, or streaming content. The sound quality is equally impressive, with clear, rich audio that fills the room without the need for an external sound system. What truly sets these Sony TVs apart is their excellent price-value proposition. In an era where high-quality TVs can come with a hefty price tag, Sony has managed to offer top-notch quality at a very reasonable price. This aspect alone makes it a highly recommendable choice for anyone looking to enhance their home entertainment setup without breaking the bank.

The picture is great and it connected seamlessly to the wifi, after setup it was easy to add a few apps like hulu, peacock…etc…I watch a variety of programming and everything looks better on a quality 85” tv…movies, news, gaming, it’s just better. I paid over 3 thousand about 15 yrs ago for a 63” sony… this is clearly a better deal…I don’t always watch television but…..ok I watch a lot of tv…watching the nba playoffs right now…great picture, better than being at the game and the beers much cheaper here..love this tv, from my 6am-7ish utube work outs then on to sports talk shows, then evening shows and weekend sports, watched nascar, elliot lost…..did I say great enough?, great tv, great price…. I don’t recommend setting it up yourself..I had inside delivery but they didn’t set it up.. if I was just putting it on a table using the supplied legs ithink I could have done it by myself but I hung mine. It was just me and the wife and we were able to hang it on the separate mounting bracket we purchased and it looks great….great, great, great…when hanging it up its really awkward and you feel uncomfortable about damaging it, we were really careful but you will probably need help…luck

Sony has always been the best in terms of a TV screen and the price point for this TV compared to its quality is amazing. Give out great 4K video and has Dolby Vision inbuilt into it. Loving it since I’ve gotten it. Size is perfect and the stands hold the weight well. The remote is user friendly. All picture modes have visible difference and can be adjusted as per your liking. 10/10 would recommend.

The TV arrived earlier than first scheduled. About 5 days earlier. Out of the box it was easy to set up. TV is easy to use. Good picture and sound I am happy. No issues so far.

Overall, I would rather have gotten the similar Visio model for >25% less, but they no longer sell to Canada :-( Good picture quality. Decent sound. Would benefit from definitive instructions (i.e. printed manual, or at least a PDF). Intentionally missing 2 eyebolts necessary to attach to a wall (to lessen the risk of a tip over when not wall mounted). You definitely do not want to risk it free standing, if you don't mount directly to a wall. I also had to purchase chain, links, and wall anchors (eye hooks directly into the studs), plus squeeze into a tiny space between the TV and wall to make the connections - nearly impossible. You might want to either mount it directly to the wall or have it free standing on a cabinet/table a couple feet from the wall - but what happens if it then falls backwards? First world problems! Would not work with my external sound system, whether with an ARC HDMI or Optical cable, though it recognized that something was attached. I had to purchase an Optically attached headphone set that had a bypass for the sound system to connect to, to get it to work, but even that setup has some drawbacks. There's a lot of Big Brother watching, but if you only watch cable/satellite TV and Streaming, that should not be a problem. Supposed to be good for gaming, but I don't do that, so can't comment. Basically, all the bells and whistles without getting the next better model which costs 300% more, and whose features no one supports yet, anyway.
