Lloyd Devereux Richards is an outstanding author with an INCREDIBLE talent for writing.
As someone who is not a big reader this book held my attention and I could not put it down. I highly recommend Stone Maidens to anyone looking for a thrilling and suspenseful crime story that will have you saying to yourself “just one more page.”
Off to purchase the second book in this series, Maidens of the cave - here I come!

I found this book via TikTok and I’m glad to say I did. I went into it not knowing it was a crime thriller but it was really good! It was entertaining and the writing was good and descriptive. I liked the mutiple POVs. I feel like I was watching an episode of criminal minds mixed with some Silence of the Lambs. Christine gave me some Clarice vibes for sure. Some of the twists were predictable but some got me a few times and I really enjoyed it! Brings to question the nature vs nurture debate for sure.

What a great storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It was hard for me to put it down. I can’t wait until the second one comes in the mail!

Not a bad story or characters. However, why do authors feel so compelled to put a romance, regardless of how improbable it may be, in many murder/thrillers? Do they think that a female FBI agent, who is the main character, cannot be enough in her own right, without having to fall in love with the first man she meets? If I wanted to read romance, I would stick with that genre. Don't cheapen what could be a good plot by throwing in a love interest.

I read this was based on a true story and it was fantastic!! Such a great read and definitely the type of book I love to read. Can’t wait to get the rest of the series.

I had gotten away from FBI/police, murder mysteries, but this book brought me back. The story had twists. It stayed interesting, to the end. I will read more from this author.

Such a fantastic read - plot twist I didn’t see coming at all. Can hardly wait to read book two now. Highly recommend reading this book! If you like a good mystery grab this book!
