Standard for all my reviews: When reviewing products, I always remain objective and honest about the product or service. I always review with information that I feel others would like to know about the product as I always assume what I'm writing will influence for or against the purchase. I always try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Want me to review your items? Just let me know! What can you really write about a relatively simple product. The price was good and the manufacturing on this item was better than expected. They did a couple of things that really make this a good looking item that functions well. I have multiple guitars and my Ibanez electric fits perfectly. I also have an old Epiphone Classical guitar with its standard wider neck and while it fits, it is tight. Installation on these is very quick and depending on the weight of your axes, you may not need the anchors. On the classical guitar, I only anchored the top and probably didn't even need that. Very secure unit and I may get two more for my other two guitars. For the money, you really can't go wrong.

Love these, I've used StringSwing for many years but this is my first using these almost flush to the wall guitar hangers. Works perfect in my space and they give you real, super duty wall anchors! Of course a stud would be even better but with this set up I have 1 in a stud and one in drywall and they're sturdy and strong.

The guitar hooks have a very sturdy metal plate that screws into the wall with two screws (plastic screw-in drywall anchors are provided along with black screws). After screwing in the metal plate, it is just a matter of threading the hook into the hole on the plate and the installation is complete. Overall, I’m very pleased with these hooks. The material on the hooks is soft, the guitars have good clearance from the wall, and they are solid. I don’t love the way the hooks look with the soft material. They remind me of pool noodles. For this premium price, I would expect a bit more of a premium finish all around. Gripe aside, I would buy these again unless something better came along.

I've been using several of these for a while now and love having my instruments on display. The hangers themselves are extremely sturdy, being made out of straight metal; the weak point, if any, is going to be how it's mounted to the wall. Previously I used the plastic wall anchors, which held it in drywall very securely. However, they also do leave *massive* holes in the drywall when removing. This time, I built a mount of my own out of simple 2x4s (couldn't have taken more than 45 minutes to build), so the String Swings can be permanently mounted in the boards, and the boards mounted together to the studs in the wall. Couldn't be much happier with how it turned out!

I've never used anything but String Swing to store my guitars. The body of these mounts are steel, so they aren't going to crack or bend if you over tighten them to the wall. Speaking of which, these come with heavy duty drywall anchors, should you need them. The foam on the hooks is safe for nitro finish instruments, I personally have a couple nitro guitars that rest on String Swing hangers, so you don't need to worry about damaging your finish. The heads also hold Fender style (6-inline) headstocks just as secure as Gibson style (3-by-3) headstocks. Overall phenomenal hangers, I have almost a dozen of these and a floor rack from String Swing now.

I purchased this particular hanger for the metal back plate, which I prefer for aesthetics and strength. Installation was easy, did not take long at all using only a phillips screwdriver. Even with a standard depth body classical guitar the back of the guitar clears the wall easily. I have seen some mentions in the reviews that these will not fit wider neck guitars well, like classical guitars. Not true. Underneath the light brown padding is the hook structure, made from a simple piece of thick wire. Grabbing each hook in one hand, I was able to gently spread the hooks farther apart so that it would better fit my Alvarez classical guitar. I can lift the guitar straight out of the hook without rotating the guitar about the neck. Works great. I was able to use it on a Dean electric acoustic without any adjustment. Again, the guitar lifts straight in and out.

My guitars look gorgeous hanging on the wall, didn't expected the sturdy construction in this thin and simple piece of metal, be aware that you will need a different kind of studs for concrete or block walls.

This hanger is perfect for my guitars and basses. Currently use 6 of these in my studio for easy access and display. The design is simple, functional, well built. It's everything I need it to be without any fussy design elements that serve no purpose. Solid all metal construction with protective silicone? tubing to protect the instrument from the metal parts. Once I found the wall stud to drill into, it took literally less than 30 seconds to install it. If there were any more room on the walls, I'd buy it again.

I had checked reviews on guitar hangers and String Swing came out on top. I originally bought three of these directly from String Swing in the US as you can't seem to buy them over here. And they got stopped at customs and I had to pay extra. But when they arrived they were great hangers. Buying them from Amazon was so much easier and around the same price. But they really are worth it. I value my guitars and it is a nightmare to think of them crashing to the ground but there is no chance of that with these. Just one thing, if you are attaching them to a brick wall then you need different raw plugs so check that before you hang them.
