I’m telling you these have the grip of King Kong, I have trouble stepping over the bathtub wall to get on my stool. A few times already these handles saved me from a fall. They unhook so you can move them to another position. Although they’re a little pricey remember what grandma would tell you, “you get what you pay for”. Well made- thick material and I trust them with my body weight and I’m not light around 213lb. They don’t move when I need them, not even a smidge of a move, they’re very sturdy. That’s why I trust them. You won’t be sorry, get these….. have a good day folks!

These are sturdy grab bars with a very secure suction grip. I had to work to remove and re-place one recently. However as stated in the description, they only stick to flat surfaces and that surface needs to be about 3 inches with no grout lines. They are long enough to provide a bar over a wide area and shaped for an easy grip for male or female hands. Their appearance is clean and streamlined and fit in well in a shower or even a tub. I was/am happy enough with the original 2 I bought, to order 2 more.

Very easy to mount and, so far, after four months of use, all bars have reliably stayed in place and withstood my elderly mother's (light) weight and pull. Two things to remember: 1) The bar can only be mounted on flat and smooth surfaces. My mom's shower tiles are textured and curvy, so the suctions didn't stick. 2) When trying to reposition a bar on regular painted dry wall, the wall got damaged and the suction/adhesive on one side of the bar didn't stick thereafter. Instead of buying a new bar, I just placed two-sided Gorilla tape to the suction surface and remounted. Seems to be working so far.

The item is sturdy and well made, so deserves more than a 3; however, the suction cups have an adhesive coating which makes it extremely difficult to remove the item from the wall to reposition elsewhere if you find it needs to be moved. Use of hard plastic (credit card, spatula, etc.) to break the wall connection takes more strength than most people have since you are 'fighting' against the strong adhesive. I finally ended up resorting to carefully using a flexible metal putty knife. Before using this tactic, I had reached out to the company twice, asking if the adhesive coating on the suction cup needs to be removed with something first before installing, because surely it was causing a problem; and for tips on how to safely remove the item without damaging the shower wall; etc. No response to date. (Thus not giving this purchase a higher rating.) This is unexpectedly/disappointingly poor customer service. Be VERY sure of where you want to attach this grab bar the first time, if you do decide to buy; because it might just end up being a permanent fixture, even if not where it works best for you. I believe the suction design/mechanism itself would be enough, without use of the adhesive. I guess the company wants to be extra-sure that it stays put. Once finally removed, I was able to re-situate the grab bar in a more effective place. So far, so good. UPDATE: I ended up returning this set (with no problem from Amazon) since the suction didn't hold, after all, and I would find these sitting in the floor of the tub a few hours later. This might have been a faulty item; i.e., the spring-load might have been defective after 1st removal/replacement. However, because it is such a sturdy/well-made item....I re-ordered with hope -- installed with better success, and they are still holding....days later. I installed the second grab bar last night, and it seems to be still holding firm. Therefore, I am updating this review to give this item a '5' from the original '3'. To date, however, I still haven't had a response from the company to my two emails. That is disappointing.

I thought that suction cup grab bars were a very risky thing to use in a bathroom, tub, or shower. I was wrong about these being among those that have failed in the past. These things worked well is the videos demonstrations, so I took the chance and ordered two of them. These are pretty impossible to break the bond between them and the smooth tile or fiberglass they are meant for. They should be tested occasionally for possible loss of bond, but I have had them up for a month, and they show no signs of coming loose. The even fit on four inch tiles, just don't let them cross the grout lines. The price is right; they can be moved if you don't like where you place them; they provide needed balance for those who are unsteady in bathroom environments.

Es decir su adherencia no es 100% succión, requieren adhesivo que se pierde en el primer cambio. Debería vender también las gomas con adhesivo para cuando se requiera cambiarlos de lugar.

Because both my wife and I are getting on in years, we thought it sensible to buy this set to install in our shower recess. We've found them very helpful to have something to hold onto while washing our hair etc, whereas before we felt a tad unsteady on our feet when rinsing. We feel just that little bit safer now.

These are great and no tools needed. At first, one of them wasn't holding well, but my husband cleaned the area again and it is holding very well now. It is good to have two of them in the shower area, I feel well supported now.
