The Fire TV functionality is fantastic, and is super easy to set up (it comes pre-provisioned if you have an Amazon account). Most of the apps we actually use. Has two HDMI ports making it easy to connect laptops, phones, etc. AirPlay works perfectly out of the box. Picture and sound quality are what you’d expect for the price, and is not the main reason we bought this tv. It’s very lightweight and easy to move and mount. We were looking for a quick and easy screen to AirPlay to, watch Netflix, and connect laptops to for fitness programs and what not. For the price it’s a solid unit. I remember when similar devices sold at Costco for 10x the price not too long ago. Can’t go wrong with this one. Oh and I agree with others, the remote actually makes sense and is easy to use

We purchased this tv for a guest room, looking for a 32 inch model with built-in Amazon Fire functionality, 1080p resolution, a decent remote, and a reasonable price. This one seemed to check all the boxes. The tv arrived in one day, well-packaged and in perfect condition. Set-up was very simple. The picture quality is fantastic, with bright colors and excellent contrast. The sound quality is good, much better than we were expecting from a small tv, definitely good enough for the room we put it in. In fact, we don’t plan to add a sound bar at all. It was simple to install the apps we use on our main tv. We are totally satisfied with our purchase…it met or exceeded all of our needs and the price was great.

I just got done setting it up and I'm loving this TV. I bought and returned 2 different tvs from a store because both were disappointing and not what I was looking for. I decided I wanted a Fire TV, so I bought this one. After setting it up and watching a few minutes of several channels, I knew that I would be fully satisfied with my purchase. I only had to download 1 app, because this TV had all the other apps that I use frequently. I love that I can search for apps and download them, since this option was at the top of my list of "must have." I also attached my antenna and this TV found 15+ more channels than my old TV had! I love that I can either watch antenna TV or Fire TV for free. So much to watch, so little time. The visual picture is pretty amazing and worth the extra cost for higher quality viewing. Another thing that I absolutely needed was for the TV is to start on the app screen and not a TV channel. This TV does exactly that. I watch more apps than I do live TV. I usually only watch live TV during Severe Weather season. Buy this TV if these are what you are looking for as well. You won't be disappointed!

TV is good, the operating system they use is horribly slow though. Expect 30 minutes of updates when you take it out of the box and connect it to the internet. It feels really light, mounted well on the wall with a small mount. LED underneath is more of a status indicator, it doesn't stay on all the time (the clear/whitish thing under the TCL logo). Would be nice if the refresh rate was higher but it suits the purpose I got it for. If you play video games, I wouldn't use this as a primary monitor for that. Remote survived a chomp from a large dog, same dog chewed on a Chromecast remote and broke it. I wouldn't compare it normally but he bit it in similar spots (on the power button). It's nice you can use the FireTV app for this TV to control from your phone as well, can ignore the real remote if you want. Audio is pretty "tinny" and voices can be hard to understand, typical TV, easy enough to do what I did, get a Bluetooth speaker, connect the AUX cable to the TV and to your speaker, plug speaker into TV USB for power only. Or you can use wired speakers too, some places sell Bluetooth transmitters for 3.5mm plugs as well. You can tweak the audio settings to make it audible without extra speakers. Display is clear, didn't notice any dead/stuck pixels. Plenty of screen adjustment for me, unfortunately no HDR but it's an inexpensive TV. Color is good, nothing to write home about, won't exactly blow your socks off. An okay amount of applications, finding new ones and customizing the layout of the menus is a bit tedious but typically a one-time kind of thing. Can access games, I haven't tried to play anything on it.

Love the TV. However, I thought I had ordered roku tv, not fire. Very difficult to set up. Not set up to add my cable. Just very odd and aggrevating. The TV itself has great picture and sound.

I’ve always enjoyed tcl products I’ve purchased in the past but I Hate this with the fire of a thousand suns. The picture quality is fine especially for a bedroom tv and it’s nice and lightweight but that’s literally the only good things to say about this disaster of technology. Half the time you turn it on you get NO SOUND so you spend 10 minutes trying to see if it’s accidentally been muted or the volumes is just off then you turn it off and on seeing if that solves a problem before you realize you’re going to have to get up and unplug it. The software is sluggish on a good day downright immobile the rest of the time. It seems geared to sell you things, lots of loud video ads on the homepage and for some reason, mine seem to be more in Spanish. It only tracks some of the shows you’re watching on your apps not all of them. If you try to go to the show from the home screen then you can’t get back to reading any information about it or checking other episodes etc. it’s NOT USER FRIENDLY. I wish I lived in a three-story house so I could really enjoy the shattering sound of the being thrown off the roof because by the time I’d used it enough to notice these things it was too late to return it. Every time I look at it it just pisses me off. I’ve used smoke signals that were more reliable than this! 10 out of ten DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Very nice television. Surprisingly lightweight and I was able to hang it on a wall mount without another person to help (I'm a female in my late 60's). Super fast set up as well.

The volume turns off randomly and you have to reboot television to get it to work. Now the television is frozen on a page to determine the language and unable to play at all.
